We have lived nearby for 4 years. I've driven past Cajun Corner many times and finally stopped in. Although the crawfish was out of season and was frozen, it didn't matter. The dipping sauce that came with it was hands down the best I've ever had. My wife and son got chicken fingers and fries, of course, even those were incredible. We topped the meal off with bread pudding. Holy .... I'm so glad we checked it out and it's on the list of must go back to restaurants. The server was excellent and very attentive. Great hole in the wall seafood and cajun joint! The outside is in a little strip but the interior is definitelt themed accordingly. I was here for a reserved party and the restaurant wasn't packed. The service was super friendly and our food came out in an average time! I recommend the Combo 1 with Crab/Crawfish! Whatever is in season will probably determine how good or availability crawfish will be. The cajun pasta was also good and a signature dish so I recommend that too! Well, it started with my favorite cheap catfish place starting to get super cheap and their catfish filet's got to be about 1/3rd eatable fish and the rest of the filet being 1/16th of an inch strip with breading. Once this happened twice in a row, I was looking for another catfish place I could start depending on. Someone I know had been here, and while this certainly isn't a "cheap" catfish joint, it has stepped up and is now my first choice. Course this is going on during the "we're all gonna die...well at some time anyway" corona alone-a pandemic. But they were doing curbside. I went in, ordered the small catfish dinner with okra, and waited out in my car. It took a little while, 15-20 minutes or so, but no big deal, and I was on my way home. I got two good sized filet's that were nice and plump pieces. They do a good job frying them, crispy, good breading, and no slimy catfish underneath. Really good stuff. The okra was fresh cut and fried. I like that, but I prefer mine to be a little more well done, which no biggie, just remember to ask next time. Their homemade tartar and red sauce was good, and I usually don't eat red sauce with my catfish. The tartar had a slight sweet taste to it, but not overdone, really good. I spent about $12 or so with a drink, before tip. Pretty good deal. I've gone a few more times. I got the cajun pasta with chicken, also really good, about the same price I think, and I've gotten the catfish, again, with fries that appeared to be frozen. Sometimes the catfish will be bigger pieces, and sometimes they'll be smaller. But the thickness has always been really good. Anyway, right now, this is my default fried catfish place. Plenty of other things to try, and while it seems that your food setup can vary (the second catfish had a mini salad included, without any dressing, wth?) the food is always really good. read more

Updating my review because for the new location they opened up. It's so much roomier and even has a nice patio area! I mainly came to this location to try the Cajun pasta all my friends rave about, and it was soo delicious! You can get it w/ crawfish, shrimp, or sausage, and it comes a little spicy already. It's one of those Cajun pasta where the pasta or sauce isn't too heavy, so we ate that and boiled crawfish. Would definitely recommend it! Crawfish this time around was MUCH better than before. I got the CC Mix(all their seasoning: garlic butter, lemon pepper, Louisiana) and X-spicy. The spice level is good! when I ask for crawfish to be spicy I expect it to be spicy (unlike other crawfish places where their spicy is mediocre) the flavor was good, the crawfish was fresh and good size. I also loved how their crawfish sauce is not that oily. At other places when I reach the bottom of the bag you can see all the oil & I feel really gross, but not here! I want to try the xxxspicy one day... :) The Cajun fries were nice and crispy too, love it. Overall I still give them a 3.5 stars because the service is still... eh. Although it's a crawfish joint, servers should be at least attentive enough to refill waters without being asked & be visible when needed. read more

Hubby and I visited today for lunch and really enjoyed the food! We started with fried pickles and the boudin link. The pickles really were tasty - not sure if it was the breading on them or what, but we both thought they were very good! The boudin was standard, pretty good, and it came with this oily sauce stuff. I accidentally dropped a piece of the sausage in there, so I fished it out w/my fork and ate it.....WOOP WOOP WOOP that sauce is SPICY! I'm a weenie, but hubby ate the rest of it! I opted for the chicken fingers lunch special, with a small salad and Cajun fries. It came with really flavorful batter on the chicken, not like ordinary fried chicken breading...it was different, crunchier, really yummy. The chicken was a bit dry but a little dunk in ranch dressing solved that problem. The fries are pretty skinny and had a dusting of Cajun seasoning on them, but it really didn't have any flavor...odd. The salad was 1/2 a slice of tomato on top of mixed iceberg, purple cabbage and shaved carrots - 1000 dressing tasted store-bought, but this isn't a salad place, so that's fine. I did have to ask for a separate plate for my salad, because they put it in the basket next to the steaming hot chicken and fries...ewwww! Ooh and I got a little slice of garlic bread too but it was just too much food to finish it all! Hubby ordered 2lbs of crawfish and one pound of heads-off shrimp. Both came out steaming hot in plastic bags. He went with the classic seasoning, spicy and made a valiant effort but couldn't finish it all! He had 11 shrimp left and probably 1/2 pound of crawfish left when he threw in the (paper) towel. He said they were tasty but he was just full. (FYI the current Weds special is if you buy 2+ pounds of crawfish, it's only $5.99/lb instead of $7.99 a pound, I believe). Service was kind of spotty, long time between food arriving and check for drink refills (mine was empty) but they seemed to do a brisk take-out business, so maybe that's where everyone was? We'll surely go back and they have a fairly decent sized patio that looks like the perfect place to come when it's not 100 degrees! It is so sad to see a place with such great food continue to disappoint in service and commitment. Over an hour for two gumbo bowls and a piece of fried fish is honestly ridiculous. This isn't the first occasion either. Honestly the only thing going for the place is the food. Yes the food is good but if you don't get it or even a refill on your water, what's the point? Moving to a new location was ironic. To handle more customers yet they can't accommodate them on a Friday night? Our server didn't even bother checking on us or refilling our water. Imagine having this go on for over an hour. The staff is young but that shouldn't be an excuse for poor service. Very disappointed. I called in yesterday and their special was buy 5 pounds get 1 free, I thought it was awesome! So of course I ordered 5 pounds of what they said was LIVE crawfish, once I got home and started eating it and opened it up it was completely black. I thought they might've mixed fresh and frozen but all of the 6 pounds I got was completely frozen. Decent hole in the wall Cajun restaurant. Friendly staff, it's BYOB, and pretty well seasoned food. The catfish was a little over-fried for my personal taste but overall good experience. Yay, a yummy cajun place near campus! My first experience there was great. I was holding an ice cream cone so I was struggling to get money out of my wallet and the cashier kindly offered to hold my ice cream for me! He even jokingly asked if he could eat it haha x) I ordered the Cajun Pasta to go for my boyfriend, as he grew up in New Orleans so he loves anything cajun and is an avid pasta eater. I shared the pasta with him since he was not very fond of it ( but hey, he's extemely picky on his cajun food so I'm not going to give the restaurant a hard time ). In my opinion, the cajun pasta was quite delish. There was a kick of spice to it, which was expected considering cajun is known for having many spices. The crawfish along with the pasta was good, but not anything overhelmingly exciting. There was also a slice of crispy, buttery bread that has a hint of garlic. YUMM. This will be a long review but I advise everyone to read... My friends and I went to this restaurant 2 days in a row when visiting from Houston because we typically have no issues and love the food! However, both days we went this time, we had issues. We work as servers at different restaurants so we know how customer service typically goes in the food industry and we experienced a lot of unprofessionalism in our recent visits. Friday afternoon, my friend ordered a boudin link with the "spicy" sauce which was too hot to even eat so we politely asked for one spice-level less. We were told no because "it's my fault that I ordered it at that spice level" and after the server argued with me for about 5 minutes, she brought me another boudin link. Then when I was paying out she said that she "tried the sauce and they did make it spicier today." The next day, we ordered to-go food before we headed back to Houston. I ordered the cajun corner pasta with shrimp and crawfish. I failed to check the box before we left and & when I did, I realized that they gave me sausage and crawfish instead of shrimp and crawfish. To make things worse, there was also a DEAD FLY in it. (I wish I would have taken a picture before I threw it away out of anger, but I did not.) I called the restaurant to see if my payment could be canceled since I paid with card and I was no longer in town to physically go to the store. The manager kept cutting my off in my speech and she was rude. She kept saying that she couldn't refund it because they "get scammed" a lot, and after going back & forth for a little while, she said "You're not getting your money back," and hung up in my face. read more

By far one of the best places in Arlington for crawfish and authentic cajun food. I've eaten here numerous times in the past 7 years and have tried everything from their calamari to crawfish etoufee to po boys to lbs of crawfish to fried rice to crab legs. I've tried more than half the menu and have yet to find a dish that doesn't taste fresh and great. The staff is very welcoming and food quality is pretty consistent. I've never had a bad experience here and have seen many of my friends and coworkers become regulars here after I've introduced them. I would recommend first timers to have their crawfish. I usually get 1 lb for a snack and 2-3 lbs for lunch or dinner. I get the crawfish medium spicy. Another one of my favorites is the crawfish fried rice. Its always fresh and tasty. Also I always come here for the etoufee when its cold outside and find it to be very comforting and something you would expect to get at your moms place. Overall, this place is an authentic cajun place and a real gem in Arlington. Normally I really enjoy coming here with friends/family; today was okay. I had fried alligator and frog legs for an appetizer. The alligator was delicious as usual, the frog legs were decent. For my dinner I chose the crawfish etouffee. The sauce and vegetables were perfectly spicy and tasted delicious, but not so much on the crawfish. It was a little fishy this visit.
