They got me in pretty quick, although it was a line of people, all I had to do was get my tire fixed and they did just that within 30 minutes! Instead of overcharging and not telling me the different options I had, George made sure to tell me I could either get a new tire or they could just patch it up, which would not only be quicker, but would also be cheaper. I didn't even know it was an option as most dealers would try to take the more expensive way out. Of course I took the recommendation on the cheaper route and my tire is just as brand new, I will certainly be coming back, the service was great!

I called and made an appointment for the next morning, but drop my car off the night before because there is a key box. Apparently, my two front tires were pretty bad and there was no repairing them. I ended up ordering four new tires with free rotation and if I get a flat, I can bring it there for him to fix for the life of the tires. I feel like I got a good deal. I tried to work with him and asked if he could still order the correct tires. He told me the ones on the car could not be returned and they were an odd size he could not resale. I offered multiple times to pay the original quoted amount and he refused. He got very angry and said multiple times he would just write it off. I was very uncomfortable the way he was acting. I did offer as I left to still pay the quoted amount and he said it would do no good. The next morning he started texting my Husband that he could suddenly get the correct tires to swap. My Husband was not happy the way he had acted with me and I refused to take my car back to him or do business with him. We offered to have the tires replaced somewhere else and return his tires, but he continued to be difficult and not want to agree with that. He even filed a police report, in which we had done nothing wrong. Eventually he ended up taking a reduced price for the tires, but we still ended up paying $170 more than originally quoted for the tires we ordered. I just did not feel comfortable taking my car back and wanted him to quit texting and leave us alone. His prices may be cheaper, but I would not recommend doing business with him after the way he acted with me and if his ring camera works like he told me then it's all recorded.

Watch out the service manager really run up a repair. The owner was unsympathetic and acted like he had better things to do than listen to my concerns. I needed my truck fixed. Their initial quote was higher than another by $140. They have a great looking building on the outside and I assumed I was paying for top notch work. They assured the truck's return later that afternoon, knowing I needed the vehicle for work. They called back and suggested a radiator on top of the requested water pump. They said it would be cheaper to do both. My radiator was working fine, but it was older and I should replace it now. Next, they acted like it was a real challenge for them to fix my vehicle. They had a hard time locating a GM radiator and then kept it through the weekend and again all day Monday. They literally charged me 3 times what it would be from a wholesaler. For a common Chevy radiator, they acted like they did me a favor finding one for $500. I went to them looking for my new repair shop. I feel like they took advantage of me being in a hurry to get it fixed and they lost a potential solid customer. Oddly, they told me my temperature gauge was broken when I went to pick it up. I had already told them to allow the motor to warm up properly. Apparently they didn't bother, the gauge works just fine, but they wouldn't put the time in to really check. Next they accused me of trying to get the gauge fixed for free by lying that it worked when I brought it in. I was flabbergasted, I had to pay a premium price for their late repair, then I got called a liar because they wouldn't even bother warm up the motor on a new radiator installation. I bet they are good mechanics, when they want to be, but they mishandled my repair, wasted my time, and then demanded top dollar after admitting they had no idea how to get my gauge working. They repeatedly told me the diagnostic machine didn't give them an answer so they couldn't fix it. The owner basically called me a liar when actually they were not very thorough with their assessment. Who tells a client you broke his gauge, can't fix it, call him dishonest and then still be wrong about the gauge even being broke? They have lousy people skills and I can only assume they are lazy mechanics. They still have no idea that my temperature gauge works and they just let me leave upset. They offered me no compromise of any kind.

At Auto & Truck Services, aside from a very qualified crew, you'll find the definition of character wrapped up with dependability, honesty and impeccable integrity. The heart and soul of the crew is husband and wife team, Norman & Grace, who have served the town of Birmingham for decades. So, when you see that those rates might be a little higher, understand you get what you pay for. When mistakes are made causing you to have to return, know that they stand behind their work.
