Breakfast!
Is S.

We stopped by for a rare free-day breakfast. I do t normally eat breakfast or have many days off, but it is the perfect time of year for an outing. I got the Friday breakfast and coffee. Sausage eggs, biscuit, and gravy. It was all decent. The eggs were not over well as requested. The gravy tasted as if it was a mix. I'm not sure how that works. It was okay, toning special. Overall it was fine. My wife got liver mush and a pancake which were both great. The liver mush had that perfect fried crust that is hard to get. The coffee was average, but I'm a bit of a coffee snob and usually drink it black. I put cream and sugar in mine today. Overall I'd say Cagneys is not. Greasy spoon. I would categorize it as a standard NC family restaurant. Decent, cheap, southern food.

They gave us free chips and a dip which we don't get in Canada.

Omg. Was this a great place to stop and eat. We are from Canada and found the service and food fantastic. They served us breakfast during the lunch hour rush (which some restaurants won't do). The southern hospitality so good. I had corn bread so yummy, we don't have corn bread in Canada. A busy place and to me that means great food.

Chopped steak aka hamburger steak was perfect, with a side of broccoli casserole and cucumber salad for the wife.

Walk up counter service with menu boards above, the service is always friendly and kind. Place your order, pay and grab a seat, they will bring your food to you when its ready. We have tried several items off the menu and each has been good in its own right. Always freshly made and good flavor. The hummus and pita is simple and very tasty. The falafel wrap, simple traditional and freshly made is a hearty meal with great flavors and ingredients. The Spanakopita is also very traditionally prepared, simple and so tasty with yogurt dip on the side another good choice. The Chicken Souvlaki is also quiet flavorful, the chicken is grilled tender and nicely seasoned, served with your choice of side and yogurt dip with pita. Simple, traditionally made and good flavor. 3.5 Stars rounded up for the friendly service and consistent quality 01111

The meat is cut in thin, rectangular slices, indicating it is minced and molded into a rectangular shaped loaf and then cooked - it is definitely not shaved from a spit to order! This is much like that served at Mad Greek Grill in Kernersville and High Point. The pita was well filled, the vegetables were fresh, but the Gyro is about the meat and in several ways, the meat here simply didn't cut it. The taziki was very nice, in fact it was the best part of the item. Pretty sure this was my last visit.

We were looking for a place to grab breakfast on a Sunday morning. We drove past two of our usual…read moreplaces and both parking lots were very full. We were running errands and in the general area of Olive Tree Deli when my wife recalled the original location is in Winston. We enjoy there newer Olive Tree Diner at the Colin Creek Golf Course in Mocksville. We decided to check it out and arrived close to 9:30 am. We both agreed the building looks like a former Taco Bell. There is adequate parking and it is easy to find. Although we only perused the breakfast menu, we saw the menu board behind the counter featuring lunch and dinner options. We both agreed we need to come back and check out the rest of the menu. We ended up ordering breakfast. The man at the counter was friendly and efficient. My wife ordered the 3-egg omelet with bacon, no cheese. She requested sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes and toast. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a bun. The prices are extremely reasonable and the place appears to be clean and taken care of. We took a seat and there was a steady stream of customers. Our food took a bit to arrive and my wife was immediately underwhelmed with her food. Granted, the prices are very inexpensive, but the omelet was very small and simply underwhelming. She also felt the tomatoes were too ripe. The menu for lunch and dinner options sounded much more appealing to us. We decided we would be willing to come back and try again but not for breakfast. Also, we recommend not coming here with any expectation it is anything like the location in Mocksville. Our experience in Mocksville has always been great - completely different vibe.

The place seemed newly renovated and was in good shape but had relatively generic decorations. I opted for the gyro and found it to be pretty good and on par with other Greek restaurants in the area but nothing spectacular. I also had a side or fries which were fine but didn't have a ton of flavor and I found the crust to be off. All in all the food was good but nothing left a lasting impact. If I was craving Greek I could see myself trying them out again. All in allt he food
