    Eggs Benedict

My husband and I ate here for breakfast. It was conveniently located near our hotel. I had the salmon, cream cheese on a bagel. Very delicious! My husband had a combo plate (eggs Benedict, yogurt with granola, fruit bowl, orange juice and coffee). I had the orange juice, we shared the yogurt with granola and fruit bowl (it was enough for two). Staff were friendly, courteous and great service! We sat outside, it was a bit windy but we were under the shade and the sun started to come out. If you are in the area, give this place a try. They have milkshakes and other sweet dishes.

This place is a joke. We weren't greeted for 30 MINUTES after we sat down. Multiple other tables were seated and placed orders in that time. The food was mediocre, no one could really tell us which of the coffees we ordered was decaf and which was full caffeine (spoiler alert, they got it wrong), and there was a small piece of paper (coffee filter?) in my incorrect coffee order as well as a small piece of hair and an eyelash on the cup underneath it. This place needs a LOT of help. Maybe instead of two bussers and two servers they should have one busser and three servers? Either way- hard pass.

The most excellent staff, no kidding... Informative, well mannered and very friendly.

Authentic Portuguese cuisine Excellent service, friendly staff. Seated outside, perfect view of the city.

Excellent restaurant with great ambience at sidewalk in front of the square . Service from Pablo was fast, courteous and accurate. Quite affordable, great White House wine and portion more more than generous!!! We had olives, fresh cheese, tuna salad, seafood salad and grilled sardines!!! Very delicious!!! Super affordable place

This restaurant has a variety of different sections where you can buy different foods. I went to the one serving pastries since they had a whole display of it from the window. However, I was disappointed in what they had. Their pastries tasted mediocre and didn't seem that fresh either. The service was also slow and they had an inefficient payment system where you get a card charged with what you bought and then you bring it to a cash register to check out. However, it took a really long time despite there not being other customers.

6 egg tarts for 5.50 euros caught our eye so two of us did the right thing hereand consumed 6 egg tarts in one sitting. Nothing compares to Pasteis de Belem in Lisbon for egg tarts but these were quite tasty anyway. A good flaky pastry but the custard was a bit thick. Overall good tasting tart though and what a bargain!

What makes it special is watching the pastries being handmade right in front of you, which adds a level of freshness and craftsmanship that you can actually taste. The service was super fast and friendly. The pastel de nata came out perfectly, with that delicate flaky crust and warm custard that just hits differently when you know it was made moments ago. The espresso was equally impressive, rich and smooth, and the two together make for a simple but near perfect combination. If you are in the area, this is an easy and very satisfying stop.

Oh no. Am I the only one who doesn't like the pastel de nata custard tarts this restaurant is so…read morefamous for? The crust was super flaky and the tart was nice and warm out of the oven, but I didn't like the flavor of the custard. I did forget to add cinnamon to the top, but I don't think it would have helped me personally. The woman who stood next to me at the counter had a nearly orgasmic experience next to me, so it's obvious that my taste buds are apparently off. I loved the patience of the server, who got confused when I told her I wanted to eat in but wanted to take water to go. Note to self...Portuguese folks want to have their "to go" as "takeaway." What I also didn't know was that there was no place to sit!! I scooted down the counter just like all the other folks to watch the bakers prep the next gozillion pastries for the day. That was interesting. Then, I didn't know how to bus my dishes. I just left them on the counter like all the other folks and went away. I wouldn't skip going because of my personal taste buds, though. Enjoy it for yourself and let me know if you have a different opinion than I did!
