First off this place is the cutest little building in the middle of a split road. The decor is adorable. The service was OK it was a little bit slow and felt some hatred towards us for being Americans sadly. Service: I waited over 15 minutes to get a menu and place an order. No water or beverage served until after 20 minutes. A party of one gets lost in the Parisian Sunday brunch crowd. Ambiance: it had a beautiful decor -- rooms filled with flowers and soft lighting. Staff hustle and stress is the Sunday vibe. But, the locals go here -- the food is good. Food: the legume salad was delicious. It wasn't huge but was enough for a quick bite. I wasn't there for the two hour chat, chill, and brunch vibe. My portion was perfect. The vinaigrette on the legumes was light and addicting. I wanted more with each bite. I could see why the brunchies were chillin'. If their other dishes tasted as good as the small dish I inhaled - wow! Just wow! The Parisian brunchie crowd knew the good locale- I stumbled upon it! Side note: the brunch menu looked superb if you're interested in brunching with locals. I wasn't hungry for a large plate. Otherwise, I would have rolled up my sleeves and enjoyed a larger meal. I was a little shocked when the bill came and it was 18 euros got 2 cafe crème ( which is just coffee with steamed milk) and a stale croissant. The wait time here can be awhile. There was a lady that sat and waited then got tired of waiting and left. I ordered the Avocado toast with over hard eggs but it came to me hard boiled. I didn't want to send it back. They put too much hollandaise sauce on it and that's all you could taste. I had to practically scrape the sauce off the muffin. I didn't enjoy it at all. This was perfection from start to finish. We did make a reservation online after seeing how cute it was - we were worried we wouldn't get a seat, but I don't think it's necessary. Maybe it's cause Paris has a trillion restaurants but getting a table never seemed to be an issue anywhere. The menu is a little eclectic but mostly Mediterranean and French, with a little Thai. I was drawn to the salads but ultimately ordered the Cassette Planche as a meal. And a meal it was. There was sooo much food: fish spread, smoked salmon, burrata with grilled veggies, pita, avocado, coconut ceviche, and more. We also got a French onion soup and French fries although it's France so maybe what I mean to say is onion soup and frites. All of it was delicious and felt special. The atmosphere is a total knockout. The outside tables have swings instead of chairs! All the servers were friendly and very kindly spoke English for us. After a morning of sightseeing, we randomly picked Cafe Cassette for a quick bite. The avocado toast looked like a perfect lunch and it didn't disappoint! Four pieces of avocado toast and a small salad of arugula, pomegranate seeds, fresh tomatoes topped with a soft boiled egg was delicious. I ordered the smoked salmon but my dining companion had the vegetarian version. Sparkling water completed the brunch and we were well pleased with the meal. A wonderful neighborhood cafe/bar. We were on vacation for a week in Paris and this little gem was right down the street. The staff is very courteous and the food is fantastic. The decor in this place is very charming and just makes you feel good. The Foi is house made and very good. I do not like fogs so I didn't spread any of the fig spread in. Also they serve with an English muffin type break. No worries because the baguette works even better than toast! The duck breast is very good. I took my daughters and my older daughter lives duck. She had it for dinner and the brunch the next day. My younger girl got the kids meal. Very reasonably price especially given the quality and that she got a drink and dessert!! They only had one thing we did not like. The stark tar tar is not very good. They make it with raw onion and it was strong onion at that. Not very good. But in the other hand the onion soul was amazing!! Love this place would recommend for a good meal or drinks in the evening. read more

I really like this place - good location, very tasty food and service was excellent. Our server was Laurent was very attentive and very patient to explain what the dishes are (note we are tourist). I give Laurent 5 stars! Anyway, we ordered 2 appetizers: foie gras (we're addicted to this and sardines. I know - you might say wtf you are in Paris and I ordered sardines?! Believe me i wasn't planning to have sardines until a Parisian friend suggested that I give it a go - and I'm glad I did. It's amazing! Years ago I lived in the 6th and this was my go-to place. Today, my mistake was ordering roast chicken off the menu. Because I felt like it and, seriously, how can one really mess up roast chicken? Evidently one can. When the waiter asked me what was wrong and I told him that the chicken tasted less than fresh, wasn't roasted but rather braised with a soggy skin, well, he just shrugged. We stopped in for dinner yesterday and I hate to say it because I really loved this spot when I visited a year ago but the food is just average now. We tried the cheeseburger and it was drowned with aioli and just small pieces of bacon. The bread was dry and the fries were obviously frozen fries heated up out of a bag. Nothing like we experienced a year ago. We complained to one of the waiters and he explained the old chef is no longer with them. This explains a lot. Needless to say, I won't be going back. To add insult to injury. We paid $7 euro for a sparkling water. Just disappointing all the way around. read more

This is a great place for a casual weekday breakfast if you're in St Germain. I ordered Le Parisian and got a nice spread (although it was admittedly mostly bread). A thin, halved baguette with butter on it, a croissant, a little tub of jam, a coffee (I went with cafeé crème, and ended up ordering a second), and a glass of orange juice. We ordered the 25 euros 4-course brunch and was disappointed. The main dish came in a large plate with salmon, salad/veggies, and a heated egg/mushroom/sauce (to be eaten with bread or alone). Unfortunately the salmon lacked taste and the veggies were not only not fresh, but equally tasteless. The cafe crème, however, was quite good. Came to this place after being rather dissapointed by many Cafes in Paris (yes I know there is a million of them...can't get to them all...sorry), I was surprised by the friendliness of the servers (believe me a rare thing here)...the Cappuccino came out and I was absolutely flabbergasted...the foam was like a foot tall...whaooo...very nice...upon coming here for a few days straight the waiters now just bring me my coffee and sparkling water without even asking....this type of thing goes a long way with me....will try for lunch this week...keep it up!! read more

This is corner cafe worth trying! Stopped in late one evening with my mother and mother in law and we were pleasantly surprised. We decided to share a few platters since we were tired and just a bit hungry. We had the tapas plate which was very nice! We shared the seared tuna salad and which was tastily prepared. The bread in the basket was a bit tough, but ok. It's a good bar, so whatever you'd like! I had rose and white wine, clean, good flavor and well priced. I finished our dinner with the cheese plate with Camembert, wow! Came with a peach chutney, perfect match! Our waiter was kind and attentive, even let me have a pen as a souvenir.
