This is a fabulous cafe in a terrific location. Been coming here for years every time I visit Paris. They are open for business throughout the day, everything from an early coffee and croissants to a final nightcap after a long day of exploration. Waitstaff is always top notch, friendly and knowledgeable. Great wine list too. The windows offer a panoramic view of the busy Ile St Louis crossing which is always fascinating. Cafe Saint-Regis has got a great location near Notre Dame. We came here for lunch on a Monday, and it was packed! We waited about 15 minutes for a table. They let you order drinks from the bar while you wait so I ordered a St Germain spritz, my husband got a beer. After we got seated, I ordered their Octopus. My husband got their Entrecote. The octopus was amazing. I would even say the best that I have ever had. Definitely recommend ordering that! My one problem was I had to wait for the bathroom for a while here. They only have one stall for women and one for men. Cute place though. The staff were very pleasant. read more

I stopped in with my friend for a late lunch around 3 pm and was promptly seated at a cute table next to the wall. We started out with the escargot and the foie gras to share. The six escargot were large tender and tasty. Perfectly spiced and the foie gras was smooth and silky. We spread it on the bread and devoured it. Our server was Jerome who was personable and knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended a Margaux wine which was pretty nice. Next my date had the French Onion Soup which we also shared. The beef filet with peppercorn sauce was next. It came medium rare and Cooked to perfection. Our final tastes were two desserts, both pastries of the day. One was the cream filled cake and the other was the pistachio tart. We really enjoyed the meal, the wine and dessert. Check it out if you're in the area. read more

This place was on my list of places to try and this was my favorite meal of my entire trip. Mushroom risotto that was so creamy and hands down the best risotto I have ever had. Staff were so friendly and spoke some English for this American girl who travelled in Europe for three weeks. If you like to smoke outdoor seating is available all year round. I had read that Café St Régis was one of the best breakfast spots in Paris and luckily it was nearby my AirBnB and Notre Dame. It's the traditional corner cafe that you see in movies set in Paris with a small tight space and some outdoor seating. We were seated immediately, even though the place was packed. We arrived just at the end of breakfast and beginning of lunch, which worked out perfectly. We ordered some soft boiled eggs, croissant, hot chocolate and vin Chaud for breakfast. The eggs were perfect. Hot chocolate better than Angelina's. Croque Madame is served for lunch only so I was lucky to be there to order both breakfast and lunch and get the croque madame that I had been craving. Café St Regis is the most perfect café for a Parisian breakfast. Due to the rain, I dined inside and felt like I was living out a romanticized dream. A must-try in Paris is the prix fixe menu--available for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. For breakfast, Cafe St Regis's prix fixe includes a hot drink, a croissant, toast or yogurt, and orange juice. I ordered the Pre Fixe, in addition to a Ham and Cheese Omelette. TBH, a little overkill with the omelette, but wow to the croissant. The croissant was THE BEST croissant I've ever had in my entire life. No croissant will ever compare. The croissant was flaky, buttery, soft and delicate. This was down the street from our vacation rental and we dined in twice. Servers were friendly, spoke English but also entertained my feeble attempts at French. Had a fantastic cocktail- Sour Monkey. Over the 2 meals, we had French onion soup, filet, salmon and the cheese board. The latter was so big we asked if that was more than one serving and he just laughed and said no that's one cheese board. It had seven or eight kinds of cheese, some in multiple. It has a welcoming, unpretentious vibe as well. read more

As an American in Paris you will get ignored and overlooked. Also you might be overcharged and have to confront management for being billed for items you didn't order. It's a great spot but the eggs are overcooked. Nice looking place though. read more

Favorite breakfast of the trip. Atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, I wanted to stay a while and just relax. They had a wall of newspapers to read, which was much appreciated. Service was excellent, my waiter was on top of everything and funny. I had the fancier of the 2 set breakfasts and it came with a "chopped off hat" egg and toast sticks for dipping much to my delight, bread and the best jam I've ever had, and a bread of my choice, along with coffee and orange juice of course. It was all delicious, very bread heavy but that's expected! Wanted to stop by a second time on my trip but unfortunately don't think I'll make it to. read more

Located on the ile St. Louis which is bustling with tourists, it's only normal you would find a place like the st. Regis, a typical "American" spot with its classic bistro decor, subway tiles, ceiling tiles and contrasting black window frames and columns and waiters in uniform. After I was taken to my table, I waited quite a while before a waiter came to take my order. The waiter oddly asked me if I wanted everything at once which I somewhat found offensive Lol. I had an appetizer which consisted of two avocado halves with a dijonaise vinaigrette on the side, which was good in itself, but did not justify a 12€ ticket and there was no effort in the presentation of the dish. Then came to croque madame. Those seem to be prepared in advance as they are not hot on the inside and barely melted. Only the outside was melted but clearly way ahead of time . It definitely lacked béchamel which is a key ingredient in making any croque moist. It came with a small salad, which added little to no interest to the dish. At 20€ it is not a great value . Again, the presentation wasn't the best. At least their café was good. The waiters all seemed to be busy although the restaurant wasn't full. there was of course the one loud waitress who made out loud disobliging remarks every so often probably thinking no one understood her. Her lack of professionalism showed in her tattooed legs as well... overall I am not surprised at the high score this restaurant gets as its main clientele is made of American tourists who sadly don't know any better... but I guess as long as they have a good time, it's all that matters. I would definitely consider this restaurant as a "tourist trap" read more

Great cafe' near Notre Dame Cathedral. Went here for breakfast and had a delicious omelette, croissant, and latte. Truly an experience of a quaint French Cafe. The only thing is that the manager seemed a little bothered that we arrived at 7:45 am. Online states it opens at 7 but owner states opens at 8 and no chef till 830. Other than that and the fact that she was clearly annoyed, everything else was great. read more

The quality of the food was good and we enjoyed the view from the window. I love the Café Saint Régis! The food, ambiance and staff are all excellent, really very good on all counts. It's a great place to get a delicious meal, get your drink on, or people watch while sipping an expresso. The staff all seems to speak English, at least enough to take your order, which I find quite helpful. They have tables and a bar inside, and more tables outside on the sidewalk. It is a very open space, with several doors opening on to Rue Jean du Bellay and Rue Saint-Louis en L'ile. It is located on Île Saint-Louis, right next to the Pont Saint-Louis, the bridge that leads to the Île de la Cité, home of the famous Notre-Dame de Paris. There are often musicians performing on the bridge. Though they open at 7:00 AM (and are open until 2:00 AM), they do not take orders or serve until 7:30 AM. And until 8:00 AM, when the kitchen opens and the full menu becomes available, they serve only croissants, pastries, fresh-pressed juices and coffee/expresso drinks. Really, it is just a wonderful establishment. I come here once or twice a day every day that I spend in Paris. read more

Enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Café Saint-Regis. Gary was THE best. He advised us on our meal choices. Answered all of our questions and was just overall friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our meal but especially our time with Gary. At the end of our meal he whipped out his cell phone and showed us how we could save money traveling to Disneyland Paris via the Metro as opposed to the more expensive taxi/Uber. read more

My husband and I had a delightful, easy lunch at Le Saint Régis during our first full day in Paris a few weeks ago.
