Goat cheese and beet salad would've been good with about 1/4 the oily dressing. The Arrabbiata MIGHT have been good with about 1/10 the oil. Stumbled across this little restaurant/cafe' yesterday and decided to check it out. I am so glad I did. The interior is really cosy and cute, they had Italian music playing in the background and there was a very chilled, nice atmosphere. The staff was very welcoming, funny and friendly. My friend and I were only meant to stay for aperitivo so we ordered a Spritz ( a must try - it also came with complimentary homemade focaccia with aubergines, bruschetta and olives) but we liked the place so much we ended up trying some of the food too. We ordered gnocchi to share which were AMAZING but pizza looked delicious too. Highly recommend this place: great atmosphere, amazing food, friendly staff and great prices too..I am looking forward to going back soon and try more of their dishes. read more

I've heard nothing but good things about Caffe Amore, so when my friend was visiting, I thought we'd give this place a try. I ordered the clam pasta and my friend ordered the calzone pizza. Both of us were curious as to how something could be a calzone and a pizza, so we thought why not! The pasta was undercooked, and the clams were sandy. It was also a little bland--there wasn't a lot of flavor to the sauce or pasta. The entree was just a miss altogether. The calzone pizza was interesting; it's a pizza with half of it folded over. The pizza half was very bare, as my friend ordered the parma calzone pizza. However, once my friend reached the calzone side, he realized all the toppings went and hid in there! He seemed to enjoy one half more than the other, so just a thought before you commit to this type of dish. Other than that, I thought the decor was cute and the service was nice. But seeing as those were the two high points of the visit, I don't think I would come back. read more

I immediately fall in love with the place after few steps in! As Italian I have to say the food was really good and loved the menu and the combination of food - difficult to find it abroad usually! The atmosphere is very cosy and warm and the mokas pending on the roof are lovely! Not to mention the second floor with sofas and nice decoration a view on George Street. The staff is all Italian with Italian chefs which I can tell you, it does make the difference! Sundays brunch and aperitivo ate the best! read more

We found Caffè Amore after our other restaurant pick was closed. A woman on the street complimented my glasses, so I asked her if she recommended any pizza places nearby. We started with the fonduta asparagi and gorgonzola and a bottle of Pala I Fiori Cannonau di Sardegna, on the recommendation of a server. The appetizer was amazing and paired well with the wine. I had the malafemmena panuozzi and it was delicious. The menu describes it as a "rolled stuffed pizza dough made in Napoli" and it was one of the best foods I've ever had. My husband also thoroughly enjoyed his benvenuti al sud pizza. I loved the food and ambiance. It was cozy and dark and definitely felt romantic. One of the best meals of my life. Thanks! read more

We were staying nearby, so our first visit was the product of a Googlemaps search for some place I could get coffee and breakfast, stat! What a lucky find! Our brunch- special ravioli and pizza- was delicious!!! The service was great, even though a single woman was waiting tables, busing tables and making coffee drinks The space is delightful - cozy and inviting, with a lovely second find room upstairs along with a charming area for smokers. Breakfast was so great that we went back for dinner. And we're so happy we did. The pasta special (with lamb and asparagus was delicious, as were the gamberoni. The service was great again as well. Make sure to save room for the canolo for dessert! read more

Amazing pizza! I went there with two italians and all agreed that Caffé Amore offers an authentic and excellent italian pizza, and good value for money. They also have great tiramisu and gluten free chocolate cake! The restaurant is really cosy and the staff is friendly. The background music was very good and created a nice atmosphere. The only cons are that we were in the first floor and there was no heater at that moment (it was a bit cold, but I'm sure they solved it!). The other con is that the pizza was served in a wooden board smaller than the pizza, so it was a bit uncomfortable to cut and eat. I'll definitely come back again, one of the best italian pizza in Dublin! read more

I was staying at the Radisson Blu Royal in Dublin and in the mood for an Italian dinner. I saw the Caffe Amore mentioned on Yelp and it was nearby so decided to try it. I'm glad I saw it on Yelp because I might have missed it otherwise. From the street it looks quite small and the signage out front mentions wine bar but it has a wonderful menu. I selected a Caprese appetizer and asked for a recommendation from the specials for the main course. The side dish of asparagus with butter and Parmesan was a special treat. I had a wonderful meal! I was traveling solo so I didn't get a bottle of wine but had a very nice glass of Italian red. I'm glad I'm staying a few more nights in Dublin and plan to return. It is definitely in my "saved" collection for Dublin restaurants. read more

You might miss this place from its unassuming storefront. But judging from the crowd this place seems to have its regulars and I know why! Good food and reasonably priced dishes. This place opens early for breakfast but probably shouldn't, or at least shouldn't until they're ready. Popped in shortly after 8 this week. It was a chilly morning but the door to the street remained open all the while I was there leaving a distinctive brrrr in the air. I guess they left it open to 'air' the place after the night before. I was the only punter in and the server was busy sorting the place out for the day and serving me at the same time. I ordered a ham and cheese filled croissant which was on the meh side of OK. There was a sugary sweetness to the croissant I couldn't place so, as a savoury type, I wasn't too impressed. However, the coffee was good and this is a very nice room with what seemed to be an Italian radio station providing the background Muzak which was a nice touch. The menu for later in the day looked inviting so I do look forward to trying that. They should be properly open by dinner time! read more

A nice cozy place, dimly lit with dissent Italian food (pizza basically). We sat for a dinner on the ground floor (they have also upstairs). We ordered aperol for a drink and seemed to me a little bit expensive (7.50e). I am not sure though how much they charge it in other restaurants. My friends ordered pizzas - thin crust but i tried the day's specials. I wanted to avoid dairy and eggs, so i ordered italian sausages with potatoes, aubergines and foccacia bread for 14.50. The plate had two medium sausages, aubergines and some bread (potatoes and foccacia had dairy). The waitress was friendly too willing to explain the menu. read more

My latest discovery in Dublin! I've walked by this place countless times but only recently went here with a friend, and back again with another friend a few weeks later. The staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It is cosy enough for a romantic date or for a catch up with a friend. A well priced lunch menu which I have yet to try, but their pizzas really are delicious, with a few vegetarian options. The thing I most enjoyed from their menu, which really surprised me.. was the tiramisu!! I'm generally not a fan as I find in most places it tastes strongly of cheap instant coffee - not so here! Cool, creamy and delicious! I shared one the first time, but on the second visit it was all for me! Reasonbly priced, a meal would come to €15 - 20 each, depending if you got wine or dessert with your main. On each occasion there have been many Italians dining here, so if its good enough for them! read more

Amazing food, great flavours, really brings the most out of the dish. Had the gnocchi, reminded me of the dish I had in Florence!! Service was great and the waitress was very sweet! Only problem and a big problem was that the chef was eating and drinking (juice I believe it was) as he prepared our meal. Wiping the cream off his mouth after the bite and then continuing using his dirty hands to make the pizza. Not to mention the number of times he went to grab his phone with his hands. He also proceeded to shout at the assistant who was cleaning the dishes. Not something a customer likes seeing. However a must try restaurant, feels like you are in Italy!
