I had such high hopes to make this my regular pastry shop, because what I've tried has been very good. We don't have pastry shops here in Modesto that you can enjoy besides Mr. T's donuts, but those are donuts (delicious) but I want croissants of various flavors! The Mexican bread sold here is mid and the village cake shop is not good! This is where I miss my hometown of S.F where there is an endless variety of shops you can choose from that are all pretty damn tasty. We lack that here so very much. I wanted to find a Rosca that wasn't dry and super moist and boy did their Rosca fit the bill! It was still warm and fresh out of the oven when we picked it up. I ordered the regular Rosca without filling and it wasn't too sweet. My family and I put some cocoa almond spread and apple cider spread (both from Trader Joe's!) and it was delicious. I'd love to try their filled Roscas next year. They have cream, Nutella, cajeta with churro, and strawberry. We also tried their strawberry, pistachio, and Nutella conchas which were all delicious especially with a cup of hot coffee. They also sell day old conchas at 50% off. Just reheat in the microwave and they're as good as the fresh baked ones. Service was also great! The gentleman at the front was friendly and helped answer our questions.
