Took the parents and future in-laws here for dinner the other night in our search for a wedding rehearsal dinner location. Overall, I was not impressed. The interior is well done and nicely lit, but the food just didn't do it for me. My parents mentioned their cod being sub-par and my steak certainly didn't live up to my expectations. Our waiter was stand-offish and very abrupt, seemingly insulted by the fact that we ordered only two glasses of wine and skipped dessert. However, I will give them credit for splitting a single entree across two dishes for my future in-laws to share. Overall, though, I was quite disappointed. Stopped in for dinner last weekend. Food was good had a Filet Mignon cooked very good My friend had The Lobster Tails with pasta. Tails were a lil on the small side but tastey. Cant say id rush back here but I would go back for dinner. Staff were very good read more

Food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch!! Party of four, all ordered different entrees and all were beautifully presented and flavorful. Although we had a Groupon, we were not limited to a few choices from the menu and most importantly, service staff were attentive and helpful without being intrusive. I would have given Cafe Regatta four stars, but the service was terribly slow. It appeared our server was the only one working that night, but instead of coming by the table and saying something, asking if we needed a drink -- when one of our party raised their hand to get his attention, he merely put a finger up (no, not that finger, his pointer, like "just a minute" and shrugged). Wrong response. It's too bad, because the food was quite good. The oysters could have been much better cleaned, there were barnacles on one, and grit in several. Tuna tartar however, was superb. The main, the swordfish, was excellent. But waiting 15 minutes for a menu or to be asked for a drink was just wrong at those prices. Either hire someone else, or at least get a drink to the table. To leave a table just sitting for that long is hard to overcome. read more

The food, ambience and service were top notch. We had a Groupon and used it last night. It is definitely a neighborhood restaurant, dress casually but don't forget to make a reservation. I've been eating here for years. The brunch is awesome. The dinners even better. The owner is a sweetheart. That being said, I don't understand why she keeps the two obnoxious and rude waiters that work there they are sarcastic and so rude . I thought it was just me, but after speaking with a few of my friends and clients, I've learned that they feel the same way. read more

We went for dinner here on a Tuesday night. While it was somewhat busy for a Tuesday night, the place is small, and it was slow for restaurant standards. Still, we waited for quite some time to be seated (there were several open tables, so I'm not sure why there was a wait). After being seated, it took a few more minutes to get menus. Then another wait for the waiter to come take our drink orders. Before I could open my mouth to order food at the same time as the drinks, the waiter disappeared to get our drinks, but didn't come back too soon after. The trend of waiting for any attention and for our food to come out continued throughout the night. Despite the loooong waits for everything, I have to say that the wait staff was courteous. I would give them 2.5 if I could, just because the wait staff was very nice and seemed to be trying their hardest to help everyone. As for the food, it was decent. The bread was good. We got a Caesar salad, which was average, but the croutons were not crunchy, almost as they had been sitting out all day. The entrees were also relatively good, but I had a few pieces of shells in my food, which led to a little bit of an unpleasant experience. The fish was also not as fresh tasting as some other places. For the price, the portions aren't that great. For me, it was enough, but for someone with a bigger appetite, you may need to order more than one item. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but I doubt that I'd ever go back. There are other places out there with the same (if not better) quality food and better service in a similar price range. read more

My wife and I along with another couple had dinner at caffe regatta last night and we couldn't have had a better meal. We started with mussels in a white wine broth and lobster risotto appetizers that were excellent! Other entrees included soft shell crabs, double cut pork chop, scampi and a pan seared grouper. Obviously a mom and pop operation with great attention to fresh food as well as good quality. I highly recommend this restaurant a real gem. read more

My wife and I went to Caffe Regatta quite often about 5 years ago. We moved out of town and have not been in recent years. On our anniversary we decided to return to the restaurant we had so many meals as newly weds. What a mistake that was. After having fairly good appetizers we waited for an hour and 30 minutes for our entrees. I had ordered a half pound of crab legs, less than quarter pound was what I was brought. My wife had ordered the hanger steak. It was under cooked, a terrible cut of meat and accompanied by the incorrect sides. My sides were ice cold. Both the waiter and the hostess (the owners wife) were dismissive and outright rude when confronted with our concerns. I will never set foot in this establishment again. read more

I have never been disappointed in either the food or the service at the Caffe Regatta. This past Wednesday was not exception. Everyone else had the Salmon but I had the Grouper which I requested to be served over the Vegetable Farro. It was one of the best meals that I have ever had. Please read all the reviews regarding this restaurant. I'm seriously considering calling and speaking to the owner. My husband and I decided to try this restaurant, we live close by. What a mistake as we are sitting eating our meal a mouse runs past our table. We very discreetly tell our waiter, he seemed very embarrassed and apologetic. He then went to tell what I believe was the manager. I really thought the manager would come to our table and apologize. Nothing. He didn't even look our way. Our waiter came back and said that the mouse must of come in through the open door or perhaps we brought him in. Can you imagine?! We were so shocked and disgusted that we paid and left. The venue itself is nice. It's got a nautical theme which, by the name of the restaurant, is no shocking eureka moment. 4 of us went on a Saturday night. It was fairly empty at 7pm when we arrived but I have to say the service was rather slow. It was 30 minutes till our order was taken. The food was...good; presented nicely but not spectacular by any stretch. Ed asked for his steak to be cooked med rare. It was served (5 minutes after the other 3 meals) very rare. We eventually flagged down the waiter who took it back and returned it to the table well done. Oops. Stick with fish perhaps. This is the greatest place on earth. I don't know the owner and have no dog in the fight. I've eaten there 12 times in the past year and have never had a bad meal. Get anything. You can't go wrong. I bought a coupon from the groupon and came here with my family. The coupon i bought was the meal that includes 4 lobsters and one bottle of wine. But when we got there they told us they only have 2 lobsters so we had to choose other meal. The worse thing was the waiter who served us. He gave us the corner table and took so long to bring the menu, didnt even smile us. I felt so sorry when my two sons told themselves the reason why the waiter so mean because we are asian. After we eat and found the bill already included 20%tip (they dont deserve 20%tip). We finally saw the waiter smaile when we were way out. I got a groupon and went there to try it. I ordered raw oysters for an appetizer. When the oysters came to the table I noticed. Something moving.... On the outside shell was a small red worm....disgusted to say the least. I called the waiter over, showed him, he took the plate to the back immediately .... And had the nerve to come back to the table and tell me " oh it wasn't a worm, it was just part of the oyster". BS!!! So when I got home I googled worms in oysters and sure enough I found out that since they are fresh they can possibly have worms and sand grit etc,,,, but that's if they aren't shipped and rinsed well enough. Regular restaurant diner with a small group of family members. We go out once a week to different places in the area. Honestly avoid this place because of one waiter who has been there for a long time, years ago he argued with us over a question on the wine pour (extremely chintzy) and each time we went back, he was always there! We decided to go last week hoping for a fresh start; 2 of us were at the table and 2 on the way, SAME guy dropped 4 menus but didn't come back to take a drink order for at least 15 min after we were all seated. The place wasn't busy yet, not sure what he was doing but overall his service was terrible, no bread delivered, not a hospitable attitude. However, the busboy was excellent, but he was the only one on duty. The food was very good, service terrible. Not sure they waiters' name but can't believe he's still there. Not going back. One star for busboy and one for food, had to deduct 3 for bad service. read more

Ab out the woman screaming, I believe the previous reviewer and that was insane, and I love love love groupon, but I really was shocked by my service and bill. I think when a business uses groupon they have to be prepared to adjust their profit margin considerably, but building up the brand and making long-lasting relationships with customers should be the goal. Who wants to destroy a business? I used another groupon in pelham and gave it a marvelous review and they have my business. They just needed to be a little bit more forthcoming about the tip and the DINNER! But Groupon gave me an apology and five buxx back.... so it's all good read more

Had a Groupon for brunch - crab cake appetizer was delicious and very fresh. Coffee and drinks from the bar were great too. Unfortunately my Lobster Benedict was awful - the lobster tasted the way garbage would smell -thankfully I only took one bite and sent it back and got something else sans seafood. My boyfriend had the pancakes - 2 out of 3 pancakes were cooked perfectly however 1 was completely raw/inedible and one of the strawberries used for garnish was rotten. It's a solid choice - cosy and intimate, with service that waves between ridiculously slow and well-paced. Took twenty minutes to get a menu but after that it was a leisurely meal. Salads were good although the wedge with blue cheese is overly lemony and has too kick pucker to it , and the tomatoes are barely seen. My husband's salmon was delicious but cold. My lobster ravioli was lovely. Nice server. Good atmosphere, crowd skews pretty old but it's pleasant. A nice evening out, but not a destination meal. read more

First of all, the bread they served was stale. The tuna tartare appetizer was just awful, actually inedible! We usually love that appetizer, but it was absolutely terrible here. The oysters were okay. The best thing out of the entire meal actually was the salad. The scallop entree was awful, and the menu said it would be accompanied with spinach, but it was not. Instead it was collard greens, which tasted terrible. I can't even describe to you how inedible the hanger steak was, i threw it all out, and this too had collard greens instead of spinach! We came upon this lovely place as we traveled through Pelham and decided to give it a try for brunch. We were so glad we did. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is elegant and classy, and the service was excellent. We are big seafood fans and were delighted to discover they had Lobster Benedict. I've never had that and had to give it a try. It was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the Mimosas and liked the place so much, we came back for dinner. We both started off with the jumbo shrimp cocktail. For my entrée I got the Spaghetti Aragosta, which is Maine lobster, tomatoes and garlic. It was so delicious, and very well presented. My husband got the sautéed scallops. He loves scallops and said they were the best he'd ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed it all with a lovely white wine that was sourced locally from Long Island. If you're in the area, we highly recommend you find your way there. Although I have frequented Cafe Regatta foe numerous dinners and cocktails, I had never been for brunch. I had brunch today with three friends to kickoff the holidays and it was great. We had purchased the Groupon deal and it was worth it. The coffee was fresh and the bloody Mary had just the right amount of kick to it. We split two appetizers, the caprese and Flatbread and each had our own entrees. I chose the eggs Benedict and definitely made the right choice. The side of field greens and home fries were also a nice touch. Don't miss out on this great restaurant. read more
