end of july, great bar to get breakfest and other italian things fresh prepared and served food, panini, sandwiches, salads and good coffe and ordering a coffe, you will not get the german version, thank god, but the right version: is espresso .-)

I think its part of Molinari cafe chain around venice, but this one serves everything fresh, it's also a bar serving liquor & wine. They had fresh sandwiches, pastry and espresso. There are also tables outside if you need a break.

One of the few places open in the morning in this area for a quick bite (I.e. not necessarily a sit down experience if you didn't want it) before heading to St Mark's Square. Also one of the few places that I went to that served cold coffee! It wasn't iced coffee like you get in the States but I was happy to just have options beyond hot coffee and espresso! This felt like an intimate cafe with very limited seating inside (I see from other reviews mentions of outdoor seating but that wasn't available when I went in June). A+ for friendly service, quick service, good food and close proximity to St Mark's Square!

Lasagna!

Great casual ambience for a quick espresso or spritz. Try the various tremezini sandwich options, my favorite is the tuna and egg.

An OG spot located in the central plaza. The ambience in the morning is immaculate with locals and…read moretourists enjoying pastries and coffee outdoors. Their sandwiches and pastries were delicious, one of my fave from the trip, as well as their cappucino.

Established in 1870, Andrea Rosa offered "home-delivered meals" for the Venetian palaces and…read morevillas. Today, spread across six generations, Rosa Salva is a renowned pastry shop situated near the Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo in the Castello district of Venice. This establishment offers a variety of traditional Venetian pastries, including bignè filled with zabaglione cream, Cannolo Siciliano, and pistachio croissants as well as homemade gelatos. My partner, our friends, family member, and I arrived in the mid-afternoon on a Sunday after our visit to Murano and the gondola ride nearby for some sweet treats. The outside terrasse was busy in the late morning and early afternoon, but beware of the pigeons. Some of us went inside and unfortunately didn't see much of a selection. Instead we opted for some gelatos such as mango & coconut , strawberry and lemon, and mango. All accompanied a nice wafer. They were good and fulfilled our needs. The price was comparable to the area. The staff was not welcoming as they need to be a bit motived. A real shame for a place that has a long tradition in Venice.
