Great place to come when you want a good burger! It has super friendly staff and a fun vibe, and it is just an all-around good place to hang out and eat some delicious food. After a day of walking through the corn maze alleys in Venice, we stopped in this pub and my husband was in heaven! It's welcoming inside and the bartenders are friendly. They have a few tables in front and back and bar seating. We met some nice people from Canada and it was nice to sit and rest while having good conversation. read more

I stumbled upon this place by accident, and after a day trudging though the alleys of Venice, this pub was a Godsend. Seriously, considering that Venice only something like two pubs in the city, the Devil Forest Pub is nothing short of an oasis beer and cheer. The owner will be quick to point out that it is an Italian bar and not a British bar. Well, that's ok with me, because if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it's a British pub. I mean it checked off all the boxes in my pub wishlist: proper bar and bar stool (check), sports on the TV (check), unpretentious clientele (check), pub grub (check), and a relaxing good time (check, check) So if you're looking for a little slice of pub heaven this is rally the only game in Venice. We sat down with-the intent Of ordering some food as well. Not knowing the protocol... one of our comrades asked if we could get someone to take our order....this guy working there copped an attitude and started going off on us and told us that if we didn't like the service we could leave. We tried to tell him that we understood but he still kept going off on us! I found Devil Forest Pub on Yelp, and decided to stop by with my friend for drinks and a bite. When we got there we were told there'd be a 10 minute wait for a table; that sounded reasonable so we ordered some drinks and waited to be seated. 20 minutes later we were still waiting... A couple of other parties arrived after we did, and were seated while we continued to wait. At first we just thought it was because there were still tables waiting to be cleared, but as the wait got to be North of half an hour, we concluded that we had been completely forgotten. We finished our drinks, which were just OK and on the high end of the price range you'd expect to pay in a place like this. Still having no luck getting noticed, we left and found another place to eat and have some more drinks. Tip: This place looks like a typical British pub; very similar to hundreds of others I've seen elsewhere in the Europe; nothing memorable. Given the sub-par service experience, the prices and the lack of anything memorable about the ambiance, I don't see myself coming back here. read more

A pretty good representation of an English pub. The air conditioning vent is near the back of the bar, we stood there because the place was still a little too warm for our liking on a July night. I had a few glasses of Prosecco while we watched the football game, the Euro-cup? Unfortunately for us it was standing room only. They do have free wifi here. They also have a mini keg system behind glass door with IPA's on tap; this is kind of rare in Venice. Mostly you can get what I call "water-beer" at bars and cafe's in Venice. read more

Staff was very helpful and allowed us in at 1457. 3 minutes before closing restaurant services. They provided good service and good food. The only down side is that this is a cash only place. No credit cards will be accepted. They also have a live webcam on their website so mom can watch you from where ever. This more of a pub than a dining establishments. Considering Venice doesn't really have more than like 2 or 3 traditional bars/pubs! Too bad that it closes early like all of Venice normally does. Went here as one of the only (if not the only) place in Venice to watch NFL. They play red zone on 2 of the 3 TVs and have a good beer selection. Definitely more of a "bar". This place deserves far below a one star review! They treat tourists terrible because they know the next tourist is around the corner. Went in and got some drinks with the family and when i went to pay with card they said cash only, there was no sign or alert that it was cash only. And beyond that we saw a credit card reader behind the counter. This place is shady and the workers are shady, avoid at all costs there are far better pubs nearby that aren't as shady.
