This place is really quite special and it was one of the best things we did in Venice. There's a small wait to get to the counter, which ends up being fine because you realize the reason is that the people behind the counter care about taking their time with each patron. She asked what we liked, what we were looking for, explained the wines, let us taste. The wines themselves were delicious and we could have stayed here all day drinking just these. You can tell the staff is super passionate about what they do and the selection changes often because everything is smaller batch, so I could imagine going back here over and over to discover new things. We were lucky to grab a table outside just by the water and it was such a pleasant afternoon activity. Grabbed two cicchetti, prawn & roast beef, and to our surprise they were actually some of the tops of the day. Cannot recommend this place enough for an afternoon glass of wine.

Such a charming wine bar! It's the perfect place to grab a bite of cicchetti and a glass of wine. The staff is always happy to make a pairing recommendation and the lively community feel to the bar is perfect for people watching. Getting a table can be difficult late into the evening but I highly recommend checking this place out.

Very small inside area and few tables outside. The food was delicious and the staff was very nice in helping us decide what to order. Service was quick.

We saw Vino Vero recommended on social media so we tried it. We were not disappointed. The best crostini that we had during our 2 weeks in Italy. The staff was also very helpful in suggesting delicious wine to pair with our food. It was so good, we visited all 3 days we were in Venice!

Loved this place! You can definitely tell it's the local hang out spot for ciccheti time! We got 3 crostinis, the one with pate was our favorite. Beware of the birds, one swooned down and snatched a crostini off our plate as soon as we stepped outside. The staff was very kind and replaced it without us even asking, we even told them it wasn't necessary and they still did it. Bc it was busy, we had a sit on the ground and let our let's hung over in to canal. Quite romantic

Friendly, popular, serve great wine and tasty cichetti. I went here at least twice while in Venice for a week. (may go more, I'm still here)

We came here for dinner at the recommendation of our airbnb host and, while it was alright, I left feeling like it's a bit overrated. Sure, the location is cool, the food is authentic, and it has seating right next to the water -- but it's a bit overpriced for what it is (I'd have to eat a bunch of cicchitti to even come close to full). The service was stand-off-ish. Not rude, necessarily, but definitely not helpful. The young lady working the counter seemed annoyed at tourists in general, and though she spoke English just fine, she wouldn't explain things to us or gave very short, inconclusive answers when we asked questions about the wines or the cicchitti. I did my best to speak Italian to her, hoping it would make the service better, but I was met with the same annoyed responses. I don't know... if I was rating the food and wine alone, I'd give it 4 stars, but the service was disappointing.

Four selections of bruschetta paired with a lovely dry white wine.

Delicious choices of bruschetta and wine.nicely priced. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. The bread is herby.

Go here for wine and cicchitti! It was one of my favorite places in Venice. Wine was good but the snacks (or cicchitti) were some of the best I've had.

By far the best cicchetti that we have had in Venice. We have been to at least 5 cicchetterias, but this spot has the most thoughtful flavor pairings and selections. Standing room only. No Spritz! 3 shelves to select from...meat, vegetarian, fish. All excellent.

Well priced wine by the glass (or bottles to go) and bruschetta style bites. A perfect place to get out of the sun and spend an hour (or two). Very crowded at night, mid-afternoon or early evening is the best time to give it a try.

In fact, we stayed late enough (approximately 11pm) that they stopped charging for Cicchetti because it was too late to sell them.

Upon arrival, the owner was sitting at a table drinking wine. There weren't any people dining, so we were the only ones. The servers and cooks were very attentive. We were immediately greeted and seated while our drink requests were taken. We always choose still water. Today, we decided to try a wine tasting, which included a blend of whites of reds from the region. The waiter explained in detail the type of wine, where it is made, what type of grapes it is made with, and the year it was made. All of the wines were very delicious. Italy takes great pride in their wines and rightfully so. We requested bruschetta and presciutto. We were given fresh, warm bread, which we mixed with salt, pepper, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. The bread was amazing. It had a soft, warm inside and a crunchy outside. Isn't that they way bread should be served? The bruschetta was delicious as was the presciutto. The food, wine, and service were superb. We vowed that we would return for dinner, but alas, we didn't make time to do so. This is a great restaurant!

Servers were welcoming and answered questions my friend and I had about the menu. The steak platter was AMAZING. 10/10. Truly such a memorable meal. I loved the chips and tzatziki-like sauce that were served alongside the meat. The complimentary limoncello at the end of our meal topped off our incredible experience. Would travel all the way back just for this gem of a spot. Thank you!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Definitely get the Lombatello steak if you are feeling carnivorous…read more Throngs of lively people sipping wine and snacking on cichetti late into the evening along the canal. The cichetti selection looked very good (variety thinned out throughout the night), but our party of 3 was starving and we opted to sit inside for a late ~8:30pm dinner. We got one order of grilled lamb and the Lombatello steak for 2. The lamb was also good, no gamey taste. The Lombatello steak was simply fantastic, choose this cut specifically!! A heaping pile of medium-rare meat (cannot buy single portions) that was very tender and flavorful. It's cushioned with steak fries and grilled veggies on the side. Paired with two glasses of house wine, this meal was fantastic. Ended up with a to go box of steak and fries. Servers are very busy, bustling around clearing tables, taking orders, etc, but they are vigilant if you need anything. We saw one table of ~10 order a steak platter, and it was a sight to behold - a massive wooden cutting board packed with steak, transported by two waiters.
