Our first time in Venice. After a long day of sightseeing in the rain, we were craving some good bourbon. Yelped local bars and Time Social was farther than many but 5 stars always trumps distance so we trudged a little more in the rain to get here. Doesn't get any better. Outside seating was not an option with rain. Only 1 seat open so we figured we'd try another bar. Freddie welcomed us and rearranged a table, grabbed some chairs and made room for us. The bartenders Freddie and Sara were great! The drink presentation and liquor selection were fabulous and the atmosphere is fun! read more

On a late Thursday night stroll in Venice, we happened upon this gem of bar. Right off the bat of looking at the menu, I knew the cocktails were going to be good. I like how the menu provided a little story and description about each cocktail. Our bartender was absolutely wonderful. So friendly and kind. I wish we had asked about her name so that we could give her personal shout here. But anyway, service was awesome. First night, I got the Smoky Boulevardier, which was strong in smoke flavor but the other flavors still presented themselves well. My wife got the Tom Collins, she said the taste was classic with a nice modern spin of egg whites and chamomile crumble on top. Since we loved our experience, we came back for a second night. Where I ordered the Penicillin. I don't like giving superlatives for many things. But definitely one of the best(if not THE best) Penicillin I've ever had. So balanced. Ultimate drink-ability. My wife got the Angel. Which she said was a refreshing summer drink. I really appreciated their presentation on all of the cocktails we ordered. Thoughtful aesthetics paired with practical vessel/glass choices rolls out the carpet for memorable drinks. It's a small, intimate space, and it gets busy but not overly packed. Fantastic place to grab some drinks, snacks, enjoy good music and just hang out. Their drinks were fantastic! Super creative and tasty. Standouts for us were their wild mule and under the sun. Freshly made drinks (I watched the bartender hand grind the ingredients for our drinks.) Really pleasant service as well with frequent water refills. Yummy Cicchetti with good ingredients. Tasteful decor, comfortable seating. It's our last night in Venice after two weeks in Italy trying our best to find authentic food and avoid tourist traps. What a great place we found in Venice! I'm glad we came for happy hour. The staff was fantastic and the drinks were stellar. The Wild Mule was incredibly tasty and I have not had a better drink before. The Under the Sun was great, as well as the Basil Vodka Sour. The serving cups were really awesome and creative. The music (mostly classic rock from Beatles to Aerosmith and Pink Floyd) was great. Wasn't crowded at all before 8. Comfy seats inside and outside. Cool decor. What can I say: -the bartender made us feel right at home, without being overbering -the waitres was charming and sincere like she was enjoing her job (which says a lot about the mood of the place) -the cocktails, fresh, interesting combinations because even if they are clasic cocktails he used high quality ingredients. Hint: the pinpoint on google maps is not very accurate, just look around a bit and you will find it. First, the bad: the place is pretty small and the cocktail selection isn't very large. The scary part is it was empty when we arrived at about 9:30PM. The good: the place is cozy, the bartender very friendly. There is free water and chips on the house. You can talk with the bartender and customize your particular cocktail. And most importantly, the cocktails themselves are amazing, and what is more amazing they also have a decent price. I was really surprised because Venice is a lot more expensive than a lot of Italy but that does not apply here. Stop thinking about it and go! I wholeheartedly recomend. read more
