Lasagna Bolognese & Cacio E Pepe

First time in Venice with my husband and so far this has been our favorite meal yet! Food was outstanding and atmosphere is unbeatable as you are right on the canal. My husband got the lasagna bolognese, and I got the spaghetti cacio e pepe. We also got the tiramisu for dessert. Everything was 10/10! The staff was all very friendly and we were seated immediately. We are already talking about how to squeeze in one last meal here again before we leave!

Such a great place. It's not a huge establishment, but the vibe was great for a little pub. It looked a bit hipster and the food was excellent. Best pizza I've had all week. Our server was great, too. He was helpful and very accommodating. Absolutely recommend this place.

Nice place right by the canal. Lots of locals and families.large drink menu. Salad was fresh and very tasty.

Great place right by the canal. Lots of local people because of where it is. Outside seating is great if you can get it. We came two times to eat. The service is good but they are busy so it may be a few more minutes than you are used to. But the point is to enjoy where you are. And if you are trying to talk you are going to have to shout! It's really loud but good here!!

The pizza, which is why I went by, tasted just like pizza bagel bites. Identical. I ordered the chicken dish with rosemary potatoes and it was truly out of this world. The drinks were great, as was the live music. A great place to spend a night in Venice along the water. Seafood ravioli was great as well

This pizza tasted a little more like home (U.S), lots of cheese Giving them a 3 because service was a bit slow and it wasn't even that busy...also, although yummy, I was hoping for something more authentic. The view was nice though!

Absolutely amazing! This place has my favorite Bruschetta that I've had in Venice which has olives, onions, feta, and tomato base. I also got a salad which had smoked salmon, olives, yogurt dressing, and sun dried tomatoes. Also their coffee is awesome! Christina is a great server, very kind and worked very hard

We were starving after the airport and found this adorable spot right on the canal - and just steps from the front door of our hotel. The food was even better than my photos could capture and the service was equally as amazing! Prices were also very reasonable, and the atmosphere is very romantic at any time of day.

Sandwich was good. Coffee is good. Friendly staff. Away from the majority of tourist. Wifi and by far the best, no social media attached. AC inside. Nice canal front for dining outside. Good music.

    Lovely variety of cocktails

This was my favourite night in Venice. A really cool cocktail bar on the quieter end of town. Cocktails were only 5 euros until 9pm and even after that they weren't expensive. I loved the interior- it was nautical themed without being cheesy. Venice is full of tacky touristy places so it was refreshing to step into somewhere a bit smarter. The cocktails were excellent. We tried several. There were classics, lots of twists on the classic spritz and some I hadn't heard of. The champagne cocktail went down very well. As well as drinks there is food available. They had a menu of toasties, bruschetta, pizza, salads and a menu of the day with pasta and so on. We chose a few items and shared them while drinking, which was a relaxed way of going about it. The caprese salad came with lovely buffalo mozzarella, the tomato and anchovy bruschetta was salty and delicious- the tomatoes stood out on this one. We also had grilled vegetables and chicken skewers which were a little over cooked but very nice. If you're bored of very traditional or very touristy food in Venice, come here, have some cocktails and share some food. You will be happy!

Really great cafe down the street where we stayed. Friendly staff and yummy croissant with different fillings. Cafe lungo.

    Breakfast on the canal.

We were lucky enough to have this beautiful little place two doors down from our recent stay. It was so good we came back for breakfast the next day.

Maybe he was having an off night. He asked what we wanted to try. He'd pour a tasting and then roll his eyes and wander off, bring his friends their charged phones from the back, and then just look at us. Such a shame, we had hoped for a better experience. We found many other places in this area that we loved and enjoyed their wine. Such a cool hip local area.

Location is very nice, right at a pretty trendy canal, filled with lots of restaurants and bars. Right next to is an excellent gelato place. It's quite small inside with few tables, many just hang around outside - and why not, the location at the canale is a pretty spot. We did manage though to get some seats inside. Our Bulldog was very welcome here as well. The various cicchetti are presented at the counter. There are some classics of course, but also some very innovative creations. We went for the latter. There was gorgonzola with strawberry, radicchio with brie cheese, pesto topped with an anchovie and mushrooms, mashed fava beans with pulp and mashed fava with goats cheese and a cherry. All really wonderful combinations. Our favorite were the radicchio and the fava/goat cheese. Surely something to recreate back home. Staff was very friendly, we felt very welcome here. And instead of focussing on Aperol, Select and Prosecco, it's mostly about white and red wine here. And they have an excellent selection of wine. Not all cheap, but definitely worth the money. We especially loved the Pinot Nero "Terre di Giotto". A brillant cicchetti bar. Definitely a place we come back to next time in Venice.

(You would've thought USA vs Italy would've attracted more local attention.) SL was a tiny place, but thankfully mostly empty; we plopped ourselves down and ordered some cold beers (pilsner for me, it being a hot afternoon). They had a decent beer list here - several standard styles from the British isles. I noted they also had some locally made brews (I didn't try them) plus Guinness (a necessity for such a place). The vibe wasn't very Irish beyond the decor and dark interior. The bartender was playing some euro pop on the sound system. Snacks were offered - mostly bread rolls, small sandwiches, and cuts off some oblong pizzas. We sampled a few of the latter to go with our beers. (They were OK.) As for the volleyball, the USA got spanked. Thankfully no celebration from the other side; most of the other patrons were either Americans or Brits. And the Italian bartender didn't seem to care. It's not clear why so many previous patrons have awarded a full 5 stars for SL. (Vacation glee?) For us it met a basic need but was priced high for tourists. I'll give them three stars, plus one extra for offering the game.

Played nothing but American music while we were here. Mostly 90s grunge and classic rock. Right up my alley! They have a full bar and can make pretty much anything you want.
