Well run and friendly staff. Coffee was excellent and breakfast sandwiches are fresh. They use a panini press to heat up the sandwiches as opposed to a microwave used by Starbucks. My ham & egg sandwich was great. There is a lot of tables to hangout and work or socialize. read more

I like this Caffe Migliore! It opens pretty early (I usually get there by 7 and they are always open!!) and is convenient for me to stop by before visiting my chiropractor in the early morning. What I like most is their efficient and cordial customer service. You can typically count on ordering and getting your drinks/items within 5 minutes, despite however long the line is. I also enjoy their bakery selection as well (particularly their scones...for all the different types that I tried like bacon and cheese, etc--their GF free orange/currant scone is pretty awesome, and I had no idea it's GF free :)). P.S. bonus that they have Wifi or TV screen, so if you sit there, you can still work on your computer or enjoy what's on the TV :) read more

Caffe Migliore is a cute cafe located in an office building. The service is really friendly and they make their own mocha sauce by mixing cocoa powder with a dairy of your choice. I wasn't particularly impressed by their pastry selection (croissants, muffins and a few biscotti) and the espresso drinks were pretty standard. But 3.5 stars for an above average cappuccino (~$3.50) and for having almond milk (albeit it was not my favorite - Pacific). read more

Of the coffee they roast, my favorite is El Guapo. We purchase whole bean and use at home our with espresso maker. Delicious and smooth with a good kick in the butt to get me going in the morning. Not acidic like many of the other roasts out there like Starbucks. Staff have always been cool and professional. They have a good selection and not too sugary pastries. Whenever I come here, I act like a person in a Folger's commercial savoring her coffee but with way, wayyy better coffee. Theirs is one of the better (if not the absolute best) coffees I've had. And I don't mean that in the "oh my gosh their raspberry syrup/toffee syrup/caramel sauce/ insert-fancy-syrup-combo-here is so good with frothy milk dotted with coffee!" kind of way. I mean the coffee itself is good. I always just get the cappuccino and between the body of the perfect foam and the sweet nuttiness of the coffee, the cappuccinos I get are almost sexy. They also have fantastic quiches they are happy to grill in the panini press for you. Those are also a thing of beauty. Every time I bring one to work, I have people excitedly craning their necks to see what the heck smells so delicious. Service is always fantastic too. They're friendly and helpful without being too "in your face" about it. Overall, I love this place. The only thing that makes it imperfect is it's a block away from work and sometimes it's cold outside. But I guess I won't dock a star for that! read more

I only stopped in for a cup of coffee nothing more. They had all the standard coffee drinks and teas but for me just a drip coffee nothing else. The staff was friendly, fast and greeted people as they came in. They do also offer food so if you interested stop by but I did not eat anything. The coffee was flavorful and hot, had a good flavor and aftertaste which was enjoyable (sometimes coffee has that burnt taste). If you walking on 4th Ave stop by they have plenty of comfortable seating and for now a view of a construction site which was pretty cool to watch as I worked and drank coffee. read more

When I started working downtown Seattle, I wasn't a fan of the coffee options as it was very automated and burnt tasting compared to what I was used to. I give this place a 3.5 star rating rounded up to 4. It's clean, well arranged, and a huge flower arrangement center piece adds a nice elegant touch. There's a decent amount of seating, a flat screen TV, a couple cupboards/display racks with their coffee roasts, teas, mugs, and tumblers for sale. Seems like a cool place to hang out for with your coffee buddies. It's located at the bottom corner of the Financial Building and connects with the lobby. There are a few more comfortable seats in the lobby as well. They carry breakfast food which are pretty good and not too expensive for the portion. I've tried their Turkey & cheddar croissant and their big quiche (which the warm up on the panini warmer) and both are delicious. I highly recommend them. As far as their soy latte goes, not a big fan. I remember it tasting better before but maybe they changed their espresso roast. Don't get me wrong I would still prefer this coffee shop over Starbucks anyday! Anyways, more about their soy latte. The roast they currently use either isn't strong enough or doesn't have the right acidity level and the right flavor for my preference. The espresso shots is getting drowned by the soy milk creating a milkier taste (aka, I barely taste the coffee). It's smooth going down and you do feel the effect of the caffeine but the soy milk and espresso to just doesn't blend perfectly together. Great coffee and quiet spot. The food options were nothing to brag about. I had a strawberry yogurt parfait with my coffee...way too sweet because it was flavored yogurt instead of actual fruit. Quite possibly the best chai tea latte I've had... something about it was so smooth, sweet and addicting! The coffee shop is super cute, and it's inside one of the corporate buildings so if all the tables are filled, there are some couches close by in the lobby that you can use as well. This location of Caffe Migliore opened a few months ago. Even though it is just one block away from the original location, this location has become my go-to coffee spot. Why? The lines are shorter, and the baristas here are friendlier. If only there were a crosswalk across Fourth Avenue between University and Union streets; then I wouldn't have to play Frogger every day to get a latte. Skip your usual Starbucks run and get a cup of amazing goodness at this place. I'm a true coffee enthusiast...a morning without a cup of coffee isn't complete. I love Seattle Coffee works by Pike, but it's too much of a walk from the place I'm interning at, so I would go to Starbucks. Then I discovered Caffe Migliore. My usual at this place is a short vanilla latte (half a pump) extra hot. I came so often that the barista with the pixie cut has always remembered my order. She even gave me a stamp card (much needed for regulars here- you get 1 free for every 10 you order). They use their own Caffe Migliore beans, which is absolutely delicious. I have the benefit of working INCREDIBLY close to this coffee shop. As I have mentioned before...I am a coffee-holic and I have been meaning to review this place. Luckily, I was reminded this morning because we ran out of coffee in the office and I was "forced" to walk down and get another pound of coffee. They don't sell preground...you buy the beans, they grind them to the specifications of your particular coffee machine. Beautiful coffee...everytime. So when I came for my interview at my current job...I was nervous, to say the least...and lucky enough that when it was all done I could reward myself with a fabulous cup of joe. I have been happily blessed by their coffee ever since. We drink it in the office...and when we are in the mood for something more...we simply walk down and grab something sweet or decadent. I have fallen in love with their feta & spinach croissants. They are grilled to perfection on a panini grill and OOOOOHHHHHH so goooooooooddd. Damn...now I am hungry for one......hold that thought.....be right back......................... Okay...mmm....excuse......mmmmm.....me......okay...so the feta/spinach....mmmmm....croissant is divine...and when washed down with a mildly-sweet soy mocha...totally worth every penny! BTW, they use unsweetened chocolate for their mochas....you get to choose whether you want sweet, semi-sweet, not-sweet, etc etc etc. Mmmmm....sooooo goooooood!!! So far I have only ever seen three people working there. A lovely sweet girl behind the register...and two incredibly nice gentleman working the coffee machines. The atmosphere is pleasant...and they have a large screen TV you can plop yourself in front of (along with a large majority of the male population of this particular building) and catch parts of a game (various sports), or the morning news and stock tickers. Since I started my new job in the Financial Center a month ago I have been coming here almost daily. The staff is friendly and they have a great selection of pastries. I am a big raspberry and custard fan, and they have a pastry for that. score! I also recommend the cranberry white chocolate biscotti. And they know how to pull a good shot unlike 70% of Starbucks employees. My only complaint is that they make their drinks really sweet. I am not a fan of sweet drinks so I have to cut it down more than half. read more

A great coffee place right in my office building. The people are super nice and always remember your name and drink. My double tall nonfat always has great creaminess and not the superficial foam that the Starbucks folks slop on the top. Great sandwiches from DeLaurenti and a cheesey thing they call focaccia, but is really like two flatbreads, cheese and olives. It's grilled in the panini maker and is a great morning snack. It's not on the shelves with the muffins but hidden down below. There is always a regular group of people who sit at the big communal table every morning. This is the best coffee shop in the Financial District. It's tucked between a Wells Fargo office and Purple. It's essentially the Caffe Umbria of the FD: replace the artsy folk and tourists with people in suits talking about numbers and such, and instead of outdoor seating the cafe spills into a soulless lobby. I don't claim to be a coffee expert but I think a good espresso requires the right ingredients, good equipment, and people who know what they are doing with both. They use Caffe Umbria coffee beans and equipment that seems fancy enough. Best of all, however, they have friendly and knowledgeable staff that doesn't completely change by the day. They consistently produce perfect tasting drinks far beyond the quality you will find the large coffee chains in the neighborhood. They also sell Italian sandwiches, pastries, and gelato. Migliore means "the best" in Italian. This place lives up to its name. read more

I'm typically a tea sort of girl but I'll make exceptions for white chocolate mochas (and McDonald's iced coffee... shameless, yes). I prefer white chocolate because it makes for a sweeter and milkier mocha. Now that my oddity has been explained, I wanted to write this review mainly to say that their white chocolate mocha is unlike any white chocolate mocha I've ever had -- it wasn't as sweet as I was expecting, and the flavor was very obviously white chocolate with a faint, faint hint of... salted caramel? Whatever it was, it quickly led me to the conclusion that this was the classiest mocha I've ever ordered yet ("But you like McDonald's coffee, that title can't possibly be all too difficult to secure--" SSSH). Truth be told, it was a bit too refined of a mocha for a little collegiate scrublette like me, who's still happy with an overly sweet generic white mocha. But that naive happiness won't last forever, so I'm still giving Migliore a full five stars to save my future self the trouble of rewriting the review -- when I finally tire of sugary syrups, Migliore is where I'll go. Also, since I hate giving out 5 stars based on a single point alone, I want to point out that 1) service was very prompt and polite, 2) there's ample sitting room, and 3) it was completely devoid of any pretentiousness. I would frequent this place every day if I could. Reliable coffee, amazing drinks! Vanilla latte, chai, cappuccinos all made perfectly every time! The line for this place could be pretty long, but it moves pretty quickly. Don't be intimated! My coworkers and I come here pretty darn close to when we have meetings, we've been able to go in and out pretty fast. We all need a caffeine boost and this does it for me! I LOVE the fact that they can make your drinks with almond milk. There's soy, almond milk for those allergic to dairy and regular milk for those who are not. They also have an array of pastries and breakfast items. I usually grab my gluten-free coworkers the current orange scone, it isn't half bad. The coffee (cappuccino) was great! By the the time we got there, there weren't many lunch options left, but I grabbed a cranberry gorgonzola salad (it comes with balsamic dressing) and that was okay. It would have been nice to have more healthy lunch items as the only other options besides the gorgonzola salad and the chicken caesar salad were sandwiches and breakfast pastries. Cafe Migliore is one of the great coffee shops in the downtown area. They are very consistent, which is key - it's surprising how many coffee places taste significantly different (sometimes for the worse) from day to day, or from barista to barista. Mig is consistently good. Their pastries are great too, though they're brought in from an outside supplier. Migliore is tucked neatly into the downtown area and would be easily ignored I you weren't looking. The prices are a bit steep but considering what you're getting it's worth the extra change. I love their pastry case. I used to work just a block away so it was my go to early morning pick me up. Soy latte + a croissant. I've never had something I didn't love. The secret is probably a lot of butter and they don't let their shots of espresso pull to long. The timing is right on the money and it's always quick service.
