I always LOVE trying new coffee shops, so you know I was excited to visit. I don't know too many coffee houses in the Santa Barbara area yet, so this was a great introduction. Lovely little shopping center with a wide variety of different shops. Caffe Luxxe was right in the middle of the action with great indoor and outdoor seating options to fit your mood. Wanted to try one of their seasonal drinks (gotta finish out the fall season strong!), and their Dolcezza was delish. A little sweet but hits that great pumpkin flavor. Where they shined, though, wasn't with their drinks but with their food. Wish I remembered the name of the sandwich, but it was a baked egg sandwich on a brioche bun with like a chipotle aioli sauce. It was incredible! Checked all the boxes and left me so satisfied. Parking can be a bit rough - the lot is definitely tight as well as busy. Just be aware of your surroundings. Overall, a good choice for coffee when in the area!

Caffe Luxxe is surreptitiously placed in the Montecito County Mart and has all the bells and whistles of a great cafe. Sophia was helpful and informative as she took my order and answered questions I had about the pastries. . There's an oblong communal table in the center of the cafe' if you like quietly mingling with the regulars and locals. They also have great gifts and merchandise for purchase. I needed a birthday card for a friend back home so I snagged one of those. . The matcha I ordered was decent. Lightly sweetened and not too cold, just how I like it. If you're looking for a quiet place to read, study or grab a small bite or coffee in the SB/Montecito neighborhoods , this place will deliver! Thanks for reading and breaking bread with me!

Mocha, lemon bar and Guava Cheese Danish.

Parking can be an issue but I lucked out after a lap around the small lot. Nestled between the strip of stores and Pavilions in the Montecito Country Mart, it can be sort of tricky to find, but just walk as if you're going to enter Pavilions and look to your left to find this hidden gem. As I walked up I noticed the patio was full, inside was empty, and the place was spotless. The staff promptly greeted my buddy and I, and were quick to answer any questions we may have. I felt warmly welcomed and my buddy mentioned how nice it was. As with any cafe, I had a hot mocha in a mug, sat and enjoyed the ambiance while people watching. The chocolate was tasty and didn't overpower the espresso, a perfectly balanced mocha, enjoyable to the last sip. The lemon bars were small but tasty, coated in a powder sugar that had me wanting to lick the plate. The guava cheese danish was the best part, better than the ones Porto's are known for, delicious to the last flake of pastry. After all was said and done I sat there thinking "that was one of the best mochas I've ever had, and the best guava cheese danish." I thanked the staff for the mocha, confirmed what kind of chocolate they use as I swear I've had it before, and instantly told everyone in my office to try this place out. My boss already bookmarked it and will try it on his way to work. I'm excited to try their espresso beans on my espresso machine at home, but somehow I don't think I'll be able to replicate the delicious mocha and experience without coming back to Caffe Luxxe. Well that's this critic's review.

Masala chai latte with a pump of vanilla taste sooo good here. I order this with regular milk warm instead of cold. Quality ingredients really help. The staff is amazingly friendly. $5 for a cup is extremely reasonable for this area. Be prepared for a consistent line at all times because people love it. Parking is difficult in the front but there is a back lot too. Thank you for waking me up today Caffe Luxxe. Bravo!

If you want great coffee this is the place to try. They offer lots of drinks that are made just right. I tried one of their holiday drinks and it was truly rich! It is quite nice as soon as you walk in someone begins to take your order and then someone else charges you. It makes the line flow on by so just be prepared to order. They have so many delicious pastries just wish I would have asked to have mine warmed up. They have plenty of seating inside and outside where you can bring your work.

I just want to let all customers know they close earlier. I checked the hours on Yelp and it said they were open until 4:00 pm today so I drove over there, arrived at 3:50 and the door was locked so I couldn't get in. although there were some customers inside. I got disappointed. But don't take it wrong, normally I love their coffee and service. I'm sharing my experience so you don't have to try and go. I went to Starbucks instead ( that's another option. just in case when you have the same experience as mine)

Vegan pasties. Yeah. Same ambience. Friendly cute seating areas inside and out. Easy parking at the Vons Pavilion Montecito mart. Sadly $1 up charge for plant based milk. Next door is only 50'upcharge.

The coffee here is so delicious! I've tried the cafe shakerato & the iced caramello, and they're both amazing! As far as food, I've just tried the chocolate chip cookie, but it was amazing as well! The male barista making the coffees with the glasses is super sweet too!

Matcha Latte with extra matcha...
Catherine P.

I can't lie this is by far the worst matcha I've ever had. I asked for extra matcha powder, so I'm assuming the regular matcha is even paler. As soon as my friends and I took a sip, we each cringed because it tasted like they just poured milk into a cup. Honestly a sad excuse for a matcha especially because it was $7.50. Do better please.

I'm totally puzzled why anyone would choose the other coffee shop in the same center when Cafe Luxxe is here. It's so cozy and inviting, you just can't resist! The employees were incredibly friendly. I wish I could come back more often, but it's quite a drive for me. I tried their Iced Cafe Mocha with Oatmilk and the Roasted Turkey Quiche. That Quiche was so good, it barely made it to my car! I can't wait to visit again.

One of my favorite things to do when travelling is definitely visiting different coffee shops,…read moreespecially local favorites. This store is so cool! Like many parts of Santa Barbara, the buildings are steeped in history and reflect the Spanish heritage of the city. I walked in my dog (they're dog friendly!) and went straight to look for the menu. My dog immediately found the bike pump and the snacks they leave for dogs. Service is super nice! They all seem very jovial and cheerful - making it a really nice local vibe. It was great to see the community in the coffee shop. Sadly, the coffee leaves something to be desired. Their menu is pretty standard - you got your flat whites, cappuccinos, lattes - and nothing special or standout from the menu. That's fine - you can still be a standout coffee shop with a standard menu. I ordered two vanilla lattes - one hot, and the other iced with oat milk. Unfortunately, I think my order was misheard as my iced oat latte was missing the vanilla. - Vanilla Latte: Fine. My partner typically orders this everywhere and he said it was fine, but nothing standout. 3/5 - Iced Oat Latte: Already mentioned it was missing the vanilla I asked for, so I'll discuss the other elements. They use a darker roast - thus, making it more susceptible to a bitter taste. That, and I believe an over-extraction or a longer pull made the coffee quite bitter. They also served it in the same cup as the hot coffee. My main issue with this is that I'm a slower coffee drinker, and thus my cup began disintegrating as time passed. Their cups aren't constructed to uphold iced coffee well. 2/5 It was such a prime location nearby the USPS and is sat in a great historic area. Handlebars has great staff, who clearly enjoy their jobs, and have a great community surrounding it. It's sad that their coffee is subpar. Strongly recommend you order your coffee hot, to drink in-store, or just avoid.

I got the morning cinnamon roll, pain suiss chocolat, and the chocolate almond croissant. I don't know why pain au chocolat and almond croissants are usually 2 separate things but here they were combined into one pastry and of course it is as delicious as it sounds. The pain suiss was my favorite because it had a delectably crunchy and fine texture from all of the small striations on the pastry. The display for the pastries was small and didn't seem like there was an impressive spread but everything was a hit and I am sure all of the other pastries were delicious as well. They had savory menu items too. The bad: The interior is small and there are only a few high chairs. The interesting: There were plenty of spots to park when I came in the morning right in front of the store. There were also several outdoor tables for dining.

Win for both of us! We gobbled up their remaining goods of the morning and got a great deal. Their grains are all from France, specializing in sourdough and hand making all their pastries. We tried the Almond Croissant and a fruit cookie which were both good. The standout is their Kouign Amann ($5.50) which you can't find everywhere! The owner of this bakery is actually from Brittany, France - the town this little delight was created in. Dominique Ansel made me fall in love with these flaky treats, and Bree'osh does the kouign amann quite well. If you've never had one before, it's similar to a croissant with brown sugar folded into a very buttery and delicious mold. Also had a solid cold brew coffee. With a few seats inside and outside on the cute outdoor sidewalk, Bree'osh is a fabulous place for a morning stop.

I was invited to Montecito County as a keynote speaker, where I also led several workshops and an all-day retreat. When you're doing that kind of work, sleep (and great food!) is paramount. The organizers put me up in a wonderful hotel, and just a few feet away I discovered this adorable bakery. What a gift. Let's talk food--because WOW. I ordered a breakfast burrito with crispy bacon that was absolutely delicious. I treated my daughter to a breakfast sandwich, and she wisely added avocado and crispy bacon (excellent life choice). And I cannot forget the croissant--flaky, buttery, and so good it deserved its own moment. One day I had the hashbrowns, the next day the potatoes--both were outstanding. Comfort food done right. Despite the place being busy, the service was impeccable. Yvette and Jorie were not only kind and welcoming, but incredibly patient, serving everyone with genuine smiles and care. What truly impressed me was returning the next morning before my flight back to San Francisco--and Yvette remembered my name. That speaks volumes about the caliber of people who work here. It's rare, and it matters. I look forward to being hired again in Montecito County--and when I am, I already know exactly where I'll be eating. And hey... maybe you want to hire me sometime too. Highly recommend.

My Arnold palmer had fresh tea and very tart lemonade. My partner's coffee came in a large mug but was just ok. My side of avocado was fresh but the strawberries in my side of fruit, not so much.

The exterior tables (with marble tops) and chairs were beautiful and I was surprised that they were being used as outdoor tables because I am sure the elements with weather them down fast. I liked the cute design touches inside like the hand painted trim on the windows, the art, and the plants. They played country music inside. There was plenty of parking. The surrounding area is gorgeous with lots of tall trees. The bad: The mint latte could've used a little more mint flavor. I tried the biscuit and egg sandwich as well as the Dijon mustard toast with ham. I thought both were subpar to what I was expecting. The bread slice was thick, the ham was cold, and it could've used more of a spread or sauce. The biscuit tasted microwaved. The drinks came in beautiful orange glasses but I think it made the volume slightly smaller. The interesting: The bathroom is outside of the coffee shop but is very clean and nice.
