We tried this place for breakfast food and it was just OK. The main complaint is how unorganized and EXTREMELY PRICEY (expensive). They are unorganized due to that they charge you differently than they advertise and blame it on "they're waiting on their new menus". You shouldn't charge folks what's NOT ADVERTISED. and of course the items are mostly over pricey increased than what's advertise. Then if you decide to replace croissant for a toast, DON'T. they charge you $5 extra for that simple replacement. Or shall I say charge. It's not a replacement they charge you an extra $5 for a croissant instead of a simple toast/biscuit. The atmosphere here isn't really welcoming as the ladies have a slight attitude of non caring and it takes 3 of them to work the register to overcharge you. read more

Really great tucked away lunch/breakfast place. Not sure if they serve breakfast all day. Really quick service and I have love everything I have ever ordered. Prices are also great in comparison to other lunch spots. Definitely make this a more frequent lunch spot with coworkers. read more

Although, next time I might have to request everything not be cooked in so much butter. I don't mind butter, but my omelette was drowning on my plate which made my stomach turn a little bit. The atmosphere is nice but that's about the only thing. The Belgian waffles were dry and one of the employees were pretty rude to us. It was our first time there and we asked a girl when we walked in if we seat ourselves, order at the counter or what and she said to order at the counter in a very snappy aggravated tone. I have never had a bad meal here.... Food is always fresh and good. As much as I'd love to give it 4, maybe 5 stars I can't. The service leaves A LOT to be desired. There is one guy there that only slightly cracks a smile and no one else even attempts to greet you. Nothing superb about food here. What my husband and I witnessed first hand of treatment to their employees is absolutely bizarre and sickening. Lady was yelling in front of customers loud enough to be heard in a place full of people. Reprimanding employees and saying utterly demeaning comments. Poor kid could not catch a break. Looking to try someplace new for Saturday breakfast, we decided to try Cafe Latte Da because it was in the vicinity of where we were going, and the reviews were decent. We eat at Dot's most weekends, so it's not like we were looking for gourmet...just someplace new. Let me start by saying the counter help there was very UNfriendly. No Hi, how can I help you? No Thank you for coming in. Nothing. Just stood there waiting for us to tell him our order. I knew from reviews that we had to order at counter, but I might as well have been ordering into a drive-thru speaker. We both ordered basic breakfast. I asked for my eggs over medium, bacon cooked crispy, hash browns and biscuit. Dink ordered his eggs scrambled "soft" with bacon, hash browns and toast. (I knew as we were ordering that the guy was not doing anything but keying in our basic order, without requests...). Dink asked for a real coffee cup after his latte came out in a styro cup. The guy was borderline rude, telling him he should've ordered it that way. When we finally got our food, my eggs were cooked hard, bacon was not crispy, hash browns were hard. Dink's eggs were scrambled almost to leather. No one ever asked how our food was, or did we need anything. Borderline food is tolerable if the staff is friendly and helpful, otherwise not. This is not someplace we'll be going back to. read more

Food is good. Probably the best breakfast spot in Harahan area and one of the best in Metairie. However, the food service is slow. I usually come here on Saturdays when it is packed, but today I came in on Thursday at 12 there are about 4 or 5 tables full and it is now 12:45 and no food yet. Our first time here and had a great experience! The service was great and very friendly. My husband got the eggs Benedict and I got the banana pancakes with bacon. It was all delicious! Really good food. I ordered the mufulleta scramble and it was great. The only reason I'm knocking off a star is because the ordering process was a bit confusing. You walk in and order at the counter, they give you a number and you seat yourself. This isn't bad but you have to wait for your drinks before you sit and they took way too long to make my coffee. Also when paying it prompts you to tip 15% or more. For what? I'm ordering at a counter and waiting for my drink. You only bring the food. That is not worth 15% of the check. read more

While visiting New Orleans, this restaurant is always a must.. My family enjoyed a delicious breakfast here yesterday.. Was greeted with a warm southern welcome ,our family ordered cheese grits, bacon, biscuits and pancakes .. Although the restaurant was serving a busy Saturday morning,our food was served hot and quickly ..the cheese grits are creamy , biscuits are hot with the perfect consistency and the pancakes are the best!! I live about 2 minutes down the road, and this place is the best breakfast joint around. Always clean, friendly staff, excellent coffee. The spinach scramble is my go-to dish for brunch!
