Not my first visit here, usually have a great experience but not this time. Asked for my drink with a lighter amount of milk and was given a look of disgust as well as the staff not willing to answer questions about drinks in a polite or appropriate manner. The barista was extremely rude when we attempted to returned a coffee with a hair in our drink, the response was "we can't know that it didn't fall in after we made your drink so we can't give you a new drink for free" When you don't drink you're whole coffee, and have a black hair in your cup that is obviously not your own, it's clear we weren't looking for a free drink. Great place to work/study. They have large tables and lots of plugs for laptops. The coffee is great and the staff is nice. The apple pie is very good make sure you get it heated. There is also free parking so it makes it convenient. Not too many places in the Bothell area with free wifi, coffee and parking. This is one of the best. read more

Wake up and smell the coffee???? Ok, So I have passed this place many times but never stopped in. The other day I decided to give it a try. From the outside side it seems to be a cozy, warm and friendly place. As I walked in the overall ambieance is some what lukewarm and the decor is ok but nothing that shouted at me come and sit here and drink some hot jo and be cozy and warm on a rainy day. As I move toward the counter the selection of drinks is good so I order my mocha and a scone. The barista was friendly enough and so was the cashier. The barista indicated a drink was ready but I was not sure if it was mine or not. As I proceeded to cover the drink he looked at me and said nothing. So I assumed it was mine and went to pay for it. the cashier started to ring up the tab and he shouted that is not yours this is yours. Well I just made light of it and blurted to the cashier that obviously I needed my morning caffeine. She laughed and re-rang my correct drink. So I as I sipped my mocha on my way to work I noticed a stronger than normal bitter aftertaste to the drink that was not my favorite but I could tolerate it. I decided to give this place one more chance and stopped again on Saturday Morning to see if the service and drink was a little better. With only two people sitting there I approached the bar and asked for mocha. No real conversation and some what of forced smile to acknowledge my order. The cashier was some what friendlier but nothing that made me want to come back to this place. So I again started sipping my mocha and the taste was somewhat better. I do have to say there scones are better than the other big name coffee houses but unfortunately at least with the mocha the quality seems to be lacking. So regrettably I will not return anytime soon and will search yet again for the coffee house that I can sit relax and enjoy read more

I had the worst cappucino I've ever had in my life here. When I asked them to remake it, it was slightly better, but still really really bitter and not good. The service was also terrible. The barista spent about 20 minutes sweeping the carpet and then opened the door by me, letting in a cold draft of air as I was sitting there, trying to read. Get a vacuum, for God's sake! And clean up after hours maybe? Ugh. Too much attitude, too much bad music and way too much bad coffee. read more

You know what, I had been coming to this Coffee place for the last 8 years and I extremely surprised how their customer service has went down to tubes in the last 5 months. Example: Coffee is not made consistantly. Second, why in the hell do you have a drive through? BUYER BEWARE: Ladro is removing the 1lb bag of beans, replacing it with a 12oz bag of beans. What's to bet they will be charging the same? So disappointing. Ever since Elysia (the friendliest barista, ever) left this location, and the company adopted the 'dark' ominous branding, their service has followed suit. While the coffee is good, I just don't know if I can vote with my dollars for this company who seems to be more interested in finding ways to milk their customers and serving their coffee with a scowl. read more

Not impressed, went a couple of weeks ago to get coffee and it was terrible. I thought maybe I would try it again today to see if maybe they had gotten better. I sat at the drive through and watched the shots for my americano sit for about 3-4 minutes before I drove off. i like it here. It's location catches you off guard. The barista knows how to make sure the bubbles are small when heating the milk in order to make the drink more creamy. It's nice inside and the vibe is chill here. read more

I really like Caffe Ladro -- the people are nice, the coffee is good, and it's a great place to meet up with someone or do some work. But, at all costs, avoid their versions of Frappuccinos. They are so immensely sweet that it is beyond painful. I'm actually surprised they can dissolve that much sugar in them. read more

I love the location because I usually order a Yankee Dog and utilize the free/unlimited time WiFi service to complete some collegework. The baristas are nice but wish they could bring my coffee to me after ordering and waiting in line for long periods of time (when there are no others in front of me) otherwise a great place to mingle and I don't have to drive very far from home. read more

Best mocha frappuchino you will ever have. Note that fraps are not on the menu, but they know how to make them and they beat Starbucks anyday. Plus their coffee actually tastes like coffee and not a thousand calories of sweetener. The bothell one has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with a nice atmosphere. Plus they open a wall up so the indoor outdoor is combined when the weather is nice. Definitely a favorite! Kirkland one has limited indoor seating but in a better area and has the same great quality. Bothell staff could be friendlier, but you know, it's coffee. read more

This place has the best coffee in Bothell. I always get a good drink and I even buy my beans for home here. However, I only give 3 stars because this place is always ridiculously cold. In the Summer, they will close the doors and blast the air conditioning, which is unfortunate because they have big garage doors they can open up when the weather is nice. The temp inside this place is almost always colder than outside, even in the winter. You'll see people working at tables wearing their Winter coats. In Summer they will be wearing heavy sweatshirts. Having driven by this cute coffee shop several times, I set a date and met some friends who wanted to try as well. I really wanted to like this place...but no. I ordered a mint mocha smoothie (frapp at SBux) and it was pretty tasty. However, as mentioned in other reviews the baristas seemed to act as if we were imposing on them to make us our drinks. They pretty much ignored us standing at the counter until they finally figured out we were not just going to just disappear. Love their espresso! They also make a tasty drink medici which is a mocha with orange zest and it is awesome! It has a nice small town coffee shop atmosphere. A type of shop you would usually find in Seattle. Every ones in a while you will get a grumpy barista but most of the time people are friendly. read more

I'm visiting the area, and while espresso quality shines everywhere, this is among the best. It definitely has a roasted taste, but its completely flavorful, not in a burnt way. I absolutely recommend trying it if you're looking for uniquely high quality espresso. read more
