Really enjoyed this place. They were sadly out of the pizza but the panini, fries, desserts and frappe were all really good. So glad they have a place like this open. Will be back again. The seating area inside isn't that big so if you're a large party I'd check in with them in advance. Its chic decor and the Nutella donut with orange zest was a hit!

Tried the dinner service with my family. We were the only customers there for a while (I think this probably had something to do with it being the week between Christmas and New Year with the university on break) and the atmosphere felt a little awkward due to it being just us in this dimly lit place and our waitress being very soft-spoken, and it was also a long wait for our food, or maybe it just felt like that due to the dead atmosphere. The food, when it came, was amazing and worth the wait. I got the spinach ravioli with garlic chive funghi cream sauce and tried a little bit of the spaghetti al frutti di mare. The sauce in my dish had a great flavour and the mushrooms were cooked to just the perfect tenderness. My taste of the frutti di mare was also delicious. I was underwhelmed by the portion size of my dish (5 medium-large ravioli), but the other two pasta dishes were heaping piles of pasta. Dessert was fantastic as always. I would come again for dinner or lunch. I've been back for lunch since my first visit and also stopped by once to grab a dessert to go, and the lunch experience was again enjoyable and a welcome change from other places you can get a quick lunch in Vestal. The dinner experience with sit-down dining service is very different, but I would endure the slight awkwardness again for the good food.

The food I've had here ranges from 3-5 stars. The salads feel a little basic but some of the other dishes I had were extraordinary (e.g., roasted duck polenta special). Therefore, I'd say the food is generally good here, so you probably can't go wrong, but perhaps not everything is a knock-out. I also really enjoy their selection of drinks. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but their lavender lemonade and smoothies are delicious. No tea, though. The service is fine, but the experience is a little bit awkward. You order at the counter and check out immediately, then sit down and wait your food to come out. This works in a fast casual restaurant, but for a sit-down restaurant it causes a couple of issues. First, you have to input a tip in the PoS before getting served, so the customer is forced to figure out a polite rate without the service being given yet (or pay in cash later, if you have cash). Although it wasn't my experience, other reviewers mention that they paid for food and never got served, so this also hurts accountability for the server. They should have a separate process for dine-in if the food isn't being served at a fast casual pace so orders aren't lost. The main thing that brought my review down a star are the prices and the menu. First of all, some dishes are quite expensive for what you get and specials usually don't indicate price, so I ordered an appetizer special thinking it couldn't be that much, only to be surprised it was $20. Similarly, the item names are in Italian, which is not unexpected, but if you don't speak Italian, you'll be wasting a lot of time trying to Google the name of every dish just to figure out what to eat. By adding a short description or translated name in the menu, that confusion could be eliminated. Overall, it's a place I wouldn't mind visiting again.

CdC now has dinner hours until 8pm. Price is hefty considering that there is no liquor license yet but food is VERY flavorful. Pretty quiet for a Thursday night so we were not rushed. Enjoyed the bufala toast, shrimp ceviche (yum!!), grilled salmon and branzino (amazing!). Took a bit of time to get our appies because the owner was not happy with the cook on one of our dishes. But I will go back. And my NYC-based visitor was suitably impressed with the quality.

For me, they are best eaten with limited toppings and no sauce. I'm not a huge fan of their burger sauce but others seem to like it but if you leave the sauce you get the full flavor of the burger and seasoning. I recently had to make a visit with a group to that place where there are nearly half a dozen guys that make burgers and as a test, I tried eating it the same way I'd eat it at here and discovered there was absolutely NO flavor. The best way to find out if a place makes good burgers is to eat it plain with little to nothing on it because if they are covering it all up with add-ons, they don't have a good burger, they just have cooked meat. TKC doesn't need the sauce but it's there if you want it. Better yet, they are reasonably priced and less expensive than any other burger joint in the area. (We are talking GOOD burgers here, not the fast food chains but even then...still probably cheaper.) Second, they have a fantastic hot honey chicken sandwich that has a lot of chicken on it. It is fried perfectly and the hot honey adds just the right touch of sweet and spicy to give it a wonderful flavor. Finally, sides of onion rings and fries are all done perfectly. I think personally the onion rings have the WIN here but either way you can't go wrong. Oh, and they have ice cream! That isn't the highlight for me, but they have a decent selection of flavors and are reasonably priced. My choice is the non-dairy cookie dough and peanut butter (I think I have the flavor right) and it tastes great. This place seems to always be busy and the owner is always cheerful and friendly. Do yourself a favor and make a visit and in the process support a wonderful local business! You won't regret it. P.S. Adding this - I've taken multiple people here over the past few months and not had a single person disagree with me on how great this place is. So, while the review is mine, I'm quite certain my family and friends would give the exact same 5-star review here.

I can't bring myself to give them a one star but I will continue to give two star reviews to Panera…read moreeverywhere until corporate gets it through their thick skulls that no one and I mean NO ONE wants to order a toasted bagel with butter TO GO and then get in the car and find hard as a rock butter that they then somehow need to figure out how to get onto the dang bagel. Worse if you are in a hurry and driving somewhere. Forget getting butter on that bagel! The whole idea behind having take out is you TAKE IT OUT AND EAT IT! Some places, including this location, will, if you remember to ask, butter your bagel BEFORE packing it away but it is hit or miss. This seems to be a corporate directive and I've complained to corporate who seems to not care one bit. Every blasted Panera I go to does the same thing with the only variance seeming to be the hard as a rock butter vs maybe a bit softer butter. I mean even if you wanted to butter than bagel you really can't because the butter is solid and impossible to spread. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS PANERA! BTW, the staff here is FANTASTIC and cheerful and wonderfully helpful. This isn't a knock against them just the way Panera corporate trains everyone. If I have one comment for staff please put the coffee in the dispensers in the same order every day all day. It is seemingly random how this is done and if you come often you get get used to certain things in certain places and then someone rips the rug out from under you and puts the hot water where the coffee belongs. Minor but details count.

Not sure exactly why, maybe too many other options where I do live. Anyway, we decided Panera was it. Parking lot was large, clean and easy to enter and park. Nice outside seating area as well. Entrance to the restaurant was clean and inviting and the display of baked goods in the glass case before us was indeed tempting. I did get two cookies to go for later after lunch. I ordered the half sandwich garden caprese and Mediterranean Chicken greens with grains. I can't decide which was more delicious. The salad had feta. Cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, Red peppers. Salad greens, grains and a lovely blob of hummus also a very nice light dressing. The caprese sandwich was really tasty. Everything on it melded into a party in each bite. I'd definitely order both of these again. Brother completely enjoyed his salad as well. I must digress, we ordered, got the electronic alert device and waited not more than 5-10 minutes for our food to be ready. Pretty darn quick and it was all correct. I will definitely consider going to my local Panera once back home. I actually feel like I've been missing out on some good stuff. Again, not sure exactly why I haven't been to Panera for so long, but as the Terminator says "I'll be back".
