Staff friendly,polite, was my first time there... The sub tasted very good, but couple things the meat is sliced paper thin to the point you could almost see through it, the lettuce on my sandwich anyway was brown. It did taste good but it was also kind of a turn off. The price, in my opinion was expensive for what you got.. would I go back? if maybe they lowered their prices and they thickened up their meat just a little, I like thin sandwich meat but not so thin that you can see through it. i have never felt more played in my life. Jimmy John's hyped up this "free sandwich" promo, only to cap it at $1 million like a bunch of cheapskates. If you weren't lightning-fast, too bad--you get nothing. What's the point of a promo if it just stops? That's like a restaurant putting up an "All You Can Eat" sign and then locking the doors after 10 people get in. And what was all this for? Because they started toasting sandwiches. That's it. Wonderful employees work here! I was greeted enthusiastically and cheerfully as soon as I walked through the door as if I was a long lost friend! Of course, you want to know about the subs. I had an Italian Night Club: Salami, capicola, ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, oil, vinegar, oregano, and basil on a freshly made soft and hearty french roll. Nothing to write home about. Plus it's expensive. It's hard to differentiate yourself when all you have is cold hoagies.

As a loyal Subway fan, I wasn't interested in trying out Jimmy John's for a while. Boy was I missing out! Jimmy John's is excellent! I've tried the Vito and the Big John and they were both great. The quality of the ingredients they use is well worth the price you're paying (and unfortunately, better than Subway's quality). Everything JJ's has to offer is fresh and delicious. The chips - plain and BBQ at least - are great, too! More specifically for this location: Every time I've physically gone there, I have been greeted and assisted by workers who look like they want to be there. Always smiling! Also when you order, you're in and out. One person makes your sandwich while the other person rings you up. By the time the transaction is finished, your sandwich is pretty much made. They are also insanely fast with delivery to BU. Yes, it's already close to campus but they're faster with delivery than other places of similar distance. They're also open until 1am every night, which is a couple of hours later than most of the places off the Parkway. Fast, fresh, and easy on the wallet make me regret not coming here sooner! read more

There hasn't been a good restaurant that can make a decent submarine sandwich ever since the lanes poor boys went away... I've been going to Jimmy Johns here is Vestal every week as long as they have been open. The staff isn't friendly and I question the gloves they wear?? When you walk in they have gloves on and I see them touching their hair or rubbing their arm or neck. I wish they would be more like Subway and put new gloves on when you arrive. Overall the subs are good but sometimes they don't read the request on the receipt - if I'm the only one in there you don't need to make it so fast and forget what was requested. read more
