FOOD: I had wine and a pizza. Glass was very thick which isn't ideal but it's fine. Marg pizza was very hot and not as thin as i prefer, but not bad. SERVICE: Pretty bad, had to call for our waiter manually after 15 mins of no order - was slightly busy but not terrible. Also never refilled water, but did check on us later after we complained. Coffee was delicious. Did not love the squid ink pasta as the consistency was a bit lumpy and some pieces were stuck together in clumps. It was my first time eating at a restaurant like this. I walked in with high shoulders and a soft voice, and was met with kind service as the waitress asked where I would like to sit. I began to relax my shoulders as she asked what kind of water I preferred, as I realized I had nothing to be anxious about--I was about to enjoy a great meal. I studied the menu for a while and took my time, as I wasn't familiar with any of the different types of pasta until my eyes caught one. I felt like a 5th grader with visual references to help my find what I was looking for, but once I made my choice I was affirmed that it was a great decision. The name skips me but it had salmon and was a fieno of some sorts. The taste was exquisite. The sauce was creamy, the fieno was tender but firm, and I savored every bite. I think I was treated pretty well, as there weren't too many people that look like myself walking over on this side of town. The female server was good but the guy who was supposed to bring the plates, the bread and the silverware kept making mistakes He forgot our bread and then forgot the salad plates and then forgot to get me silverware after it needed to be replaced I understand his English isn't great but staring at a plate of pasta without silver ware is irritating, as was staring at a bread plate and a container oil with out having bread was irritating The restaurant said text comments to.
