It's hard to choose what we'd like to have, yet we finally made up our minds for chocolate gelato and some strawberry waffle, along with some coffee and hot chocolate. The cafe isn't super bright which makes it feel a little dark and stuffy for me since I enjoy brighter places but I do enjoy it for stopping by in the evening since it gives off a relaxing vibe. I have tried the honey bread which I would not recommend unless you really just love bread. Their shaved ice is pretty decent. I tried the strawberry and red bean snow flakes the last time I went. I like going here. Coffee is good but only complain I have is that they at least should have one free refill for the price you pay for just a medium cup of coffee. $3.95. A little steep in my opinion and reason why I took away a star. Otherwise I love this place. People working there are. Wet helpful and very friendly. I just came back after a few years, and I have to say that caffe benne (caffe bean?) is really great now. The service was great. though our food took a little time. The food however, was incredible. We stumbled upon this place while looking for a breakfast spot in the area. Upon arrival, we were surprised by the spacious, cozy, and beautifully decorated interior. Menu was clear, ordering was a breeze, and staff was friendly. Wife had the Mocha Frappe and Spinach Grilled Cheese sandwich. She enjoyed both very much. I tasted the sandwich and it tasted great and not overly greasy. I, the purist, ordered a black coffee and a plain liege waffle. I really enjoyed my coffee. They get their beans from Stumptown Coffee, a roaster out of Portland, OR. The coffee tasted like a dark roast with balanced acidity and bitterness. There was also a strong coffee aroma at front end of every sip. Yeah, I'm an instant fan. I also really enjoy the waffle. It's lightly dusted with powdered sugar. The chocolate syrup on the plate is a nice touch - so I can choose to eat with or without it. I prefer my liege waffle with more burnt sugar - i.e. crunchier on the exterior, but this is totally enjoyable. We are glad to have discovered this gem. Although the food did not wow us, it is still pretty good. We'd come regularly had we not live so far away. The inside is cozy and the service is okay. The iced latte tasted average, but for the price I could have gone to Starbucks and gotten the same. I was looking forward to the macaron I bought but the cookie part had a stale texture and wasn't light and crunchy and there was a pitiful amount of filling leaving me disappointed with what I paid for. I'm sure the best part of coming here is getting a coffee and a snack and listening to the live performances, but I was not here when a live performance was going on so it was very average and a bit underwhelming on the pastry side. read more

This place unfortunately didn't work as well as a study/reading spot because it was constantly loud... which is understandable I guess because many groups hang out here and were having engaging conversations. Caffe Bene is a cute litttle cafe located on Lawrenceville-Suwanee road near Walmart. The cafe offers little bites as well as dessert and various drinks including non-alcoholic mojitos. Seating is very limited and a lot of students like to come and do schoolwork there. I'm not sure if studying is possible because the noise level gets loud when there are a lot of people there. Also, if you're a student and you're planning on bringing your laptop, make sure you laptop has a long battery life or come super early so that you can get a seat near a plug because if you come and there are already a lot of people there, it's guaranteed that you won't be able to sit near a plug. The lighting in the cafe is a little dim but it's not dark. It's enough to create a romantic atmosphere so it's a good idea if you're planning to stop by for a date. When ordering food and drinks, the cashier will give you a little round buzzer that will alert you when your order is ready. The menu hangs behind the cashier but there are also display cases where you can see what they have on the menu. I don't particularly have any favorite cafes so I don't usually stop by Caffe Bene but if you're interested, I would definitely recommend stopping by. read more

Dear Owner: I loved going to this place but today will be my last visit here thanks to the worst customer service experience in my entire life. One of the two servers who worked in the morning on 11/20 should not be a server here or anywhere in the service industry. The server I'm referring to is the old lady with a black eye glass. I do not believe that I'm the first one having this kind of experience because of her. If the owner sees this review, please take a serious consideration. I went to the place around 10 am and ordered a vanilla latte. The vanilla latte comes with three pumps of the syrup. But I requested that my latte comes with two pumps. I asked twice to make sure but the old lady seemed annoyed by the request and did not even respond. I tasted my latte and it felt like the regular three pumped latte. So, I asked her if two pumps were used and she said that she didn't get the request. What? I was the only customer there and you didn't get the request? She said that she would make it again even if she didn't do it normally. What? You don't make it again even if you made it wrong? While making my latte again, the lady kept insisting that she did not hear it. And then, all of sudden, she said that it was a bad etiquette that I was calling someone while ordering my coffee. What? Is that a bad etiquette? I wasn't calling anybody. I said that I did not call. At that time, the lady shouted and yelled "What do you want? What was I supposed to do?" I was shocked and for seconds I was at a loss for words. I've never seen any server yelling at the customer before. Well, I was a Korean girl in my 20's so I might be an easy target to pour her anger at. I said, why are you so angry? She said that she wasn't angry. Then, the other server came over and she took me to my table. I cried and she said that she was sorry. The old lady with black eye glass never said sorry . It is totally understandable that servers sometimes don't hear what the customer requests. But the server today became so angry just because I asked and accused me that I was calling someone while ordering. I want to ask the owner to play CCTV and see if I was calling when I ordered. I can't believe that asking two pumps instead of three pumps led to this horrible experience. The old lady with black glass should not be serving people. It was very cold and along with my food, I got a side of judgemental looks!! Anyway, we ordered a Strawberry and Cheese honey bread and a mocha latte. The food looked beautiful, but tasted lackluster. The bread itself was tasteless and the cheese on top was way too buttery and salty, and did not compliment the sweet berry at all. Such a cute place that feels so homey and cozy. I tried their caramel macchiato latte and it was literally so good. My friend got their hot chocolate and it tasted almost like it was made of melted chocolates. The latte art isn't your typical kind, which makes the place even more appeasing. Absolutely lovely little Korean coffee shop. I've spent numerous hours at Starbucks across the street trying to do my work projects when we moved to the new office and didn't have a WiFi. But Starbucks is always so loud and busy and barely have any outlets. So I went on yelp to see if there were any other coffee shops in the area and saw Caffe Bene. When I walked it I was amazed how beautiful the interior was, really cute, neat and quite. The staff was super friendly, the food was delicious as well as the Pumpkin Frappe that I ordered. So I chose a single table that had an outlet and enjoyed a nice quiet atmosphere to work in. Also a great bonus is Korean pop music, I love everything Asian so that was a really nice bonus for me. Highly recommended for studying, working or a cute date (they have crazy crepes and all kinds of delicious deserts). read more

As may be noticed in my previous reviews of other Caffe Bene locations, I think they make the best coffee of all Korean coffee/bakery franchises. Well, this location actually serves Stumptown coffee, so that's even a bigger plus. Aside from that they now serve snowflake bingsoo, and their tried-and-true Belgian waffles. I guess Caffe Bene is evolving... The space is very typical Caffe Bene, with casual wood decor and relaxing atmosphere. The service could be friendlier, however. What irked me the most was that to each other, they were laughing, joking, and being buddy-buddy, but the moment they faced the patrons those smiles were gone, and they looked like they didn't want to be there. Look, if you'd rather be hanging out with them and not working, well, hang out with them and don't work. If you can be friendly to each other, you certainly have it in you to be friendly to the paying guests. I stopped by caffe bene with a few friends to study, and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered two patbingsoos and a few types of cake. The staff was extremely patient and nice, and they gave great recommendations. The cafe itself is quiet and spacious and has enough space to seat large groups. It was a great place to study. The food and drinks are a bit expensive, but not enough to deter anyone from visiting. The patbingsoos were on par with most of the other places I've visited, but a bit more expensive. I really like coming here to get some work done. There's plenty of outlets and sitting area, and the atmosphere is great! I like their menu items, especially the banana walnut honey bread. There are times when it gets a bit too loud, but that's expected for the after lunch hours. Everyone seems to flock here for dessert and coffee after their meal. This place is really close to my house. It is fairly new and has not been open that long. I know this place is pretty popular in Korea and in LA. The interior is pretty cute. Typical Korean coffee shop. I decided to try this place once it died down. It hasn't died down yet. Especially if you go on the weekend, it's packed and loud. I tried studying here and it was loud. It is pretty pricey for drinks. I got the Green Tea latte. It was not good at all. It was very thick and chalky after taste. They put too much green tea powder in my drink. It was hard to swallow... I got a small and it was around $4.65 or something along that. They do have free wifi and a couple of outlets along the long seating. The individual tables do not have outlets. Good luck trying to find seats to study at. Finding parking is easy. There are a lot of parking spots available. read more

Went to check out this place today since it just opened. I was slightly overwhelmed by the whole experience - in a good way. The desserts looked good. The parfait bowls are definitely meant to be split ($10 a pop reinforces that). They looked good though. The waffle dessert combinations looked intriguing to say the least - there were a lot of things on display. But they had something on the menu that seemed to imply a waffle salad combo - that doesn't seem good. They offer all your standard coffee, latte, cappuccino stuff as well as fruit smoothies (I heard it got a good review). I had the white grape refresher - tasted just like frozen green grapes turned into a slushie. Quite refreshing for $5.25. Heard the gelato was a little on the sweet side. This place reminds me of an upscale Mozart. I love the decor inside, but none of their drinks have really impressed me. This place is also a bit pricey! This is one of my favorite cafes in Suwanee ! Highly recommend this place. There's so many different options to choose from to drink. Nice place to come work on the laptop, got a lot done. They have many things on the menu but didn't see any vegetarian or vegan options. The food options are pricy compared to the coffees and drinks. The ambiance is nice, a classy looking caffe, but the music is way too loud and the songs that play are not in English which is a bummer. It's a South Korean based caffe chain, so maybe that's why? I wish they do something about the type of music they play and keep the volume moderate so people can enjoy the environment and not be disturbed while having a conversation or studying/working. They sell snacks like waffle desserts/snacks, and shaved ice that was over $10 for one, which is a bit too much for shaved ice. Their drinks were also over $5 each, I'd say about $7 was the average price for most drinks. I've had very similar snacks/desserts like the ones they offer here but not cost as much. Review rating is only for coffee. I had one of the most beautiful dry cappuccino made from fresh roasted beans. It was also decorated with latte art. The visual presentation of latte art and texture of foam was impeccable. I drank it extremely slow to relish every sip of the silky velvet feel it left in my palate. Your experience may be different from mine based on the barista. As for the ambience, it is charming and pleasant to the eyes. The music here is calming and relaxing. Service is good. Found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out. The place is very nice and inviting. Warm colors and decor. Perfect to chill on a Sunday afternoon with a book or do some work. There is so much to pick from on coffees. I recommend cafe Saigon if you like sweet drinks. Delicious coffee and condensed milk. They have waffles and sweet breads and fruit. Might have to come back for brunch, overall so glad I found this little gem in Suwannee. read more
