Very cute and cozy little cafe. Went on a Sunday morning and it was quite empty a d quiet. Top 40 playlist was on. The cafe was dimly lit and had a lot of seating. There were few outlets but I managed to find one up by the front. The place was really clean, including bathroom. Service was great. Ordered cappuccino and strawberry waffle. Order was up within minutes. They give you a little buzzer so you know exactly when your order is ready. The presentation of the food/drinks are very pretty and appetizing. What I really loved was that they printed the username and password for the wifi directly onto the receipt. A popular Korean cafe franchise now in GA. The location is kind of in the suburbs so not too many people know about it as of yet. It's nicely decorated with a very upscale feel to the place. Nice and quiet. Makes it an adamant location to study or just to relax and chat with some friends. The staff is nice, the service is mostly self serving as you order and pick up your own items. Price wise it's a bit more expensive than other cafes. The drinks here are decent. The desserts are pretty good in my opinion. The menu itself though is similar to most cafes/bakeries. Nothing too special. Overall, it's slightly above average in terms of overall experience. Not much to really complain about. Don't expect to be blown away or anything though. The ambiance of this cafe is one of the best I've seen in the area. The string lights contrasting the wood and the plants were a beautiful decorative touch. The Peppermint Mocha was delicious both hot and cold. The Lavender Latte was very subtle on the lavender taste which was a bit disappointing but the tea variant was just the taste I was looking for. I've tried all the honey breads and the cheesy garlic bread was the most delicious. It was also the most visually appealing. The other honey breads weren't too extraordinary. I don't usually venture this far outside of the perimeter, but lovely coffee shops such as Cafe Bene might change my mind. I was visiting a friend in the area and we decided to hang out at Cafe Bene because it's near her house. We ordered 2 Affogato which come with espresso shot and a scoop of ice cream of your choice. I chose espresso ice cream and my friend had matcha ice cream. They were both really really good and creamy. I would definitely come back here to get more ice cream flavors and try all other desserts that they have. Their coffee is also very good and great to pair with the dessert. This place had a comfortable environment for study before the time hits to around 7:00pm, the music is a bit too loud but it won't effect that much. Cute place and good service. I came to this location over the Starbucks across the street seeing they serve Stumptown coffee, so had expected better quality. Very disappointed. The espresso drinks were burnt and lacked flavor. On top of that, while they practice COVID 19 preventative measures, two patrons walked in without masks, ordered food, walked around (almost tauntingly) and nothing was said or done. I know these are uncomfortable situations and shame on those patrons, but I will certainly not be returning until at least COVID is over. read more

What a delightful cafe only a hop away from the sleepy Red Roof Inn I am staying at. Wanted some nearby coffee and breakfast and stumbled into a miraculous cafe with an international vibe. The decor is European chic and cozy clean. Lots of seating available. Pretty books on the wall. A little dessert stand where you can glimpse all their treats. This cafe started somewhere Korea, and here I am in Georgia. Ok the two stars I withheld are for coffee and bagels. They technically had neither. I am a sucker for simple brewed hot coffee and they only have espresso beverages. They have iced coffee, but alas not the same. I got an americano, which was a little weak but not bad. I'm used to Starbucks so maybe I should have asked to less water. Also, I swear Yelp said they have bagels, but I saw no evidence of bagels in the store. However. The waffle with whip cream and strawberries that I did order was made just right. The fresh tasting waffle was just the right blend of soft and crispy. This is a large coffee shop. It is very well kept and clean inside with lots of room to sit and hang out. They serve everything from macaroons to waffles and lattes. There is one item you MUST try here, the coffee shaved iced. It is a mountain of fluffly delicate shaved ice, topped with sweet red bean, light crisp cocoa cereal, scoop of coffee ice cream, almond bits and the thing that makes it brilliant, a shot of espresso. The shot of espresso turns the shaved ice into a flavorful slush. Not all of it of course but enough of it so that every scoop will have that wonderful slush texture. Each element works so well together--the fluffy base, the sweet syrupy and chewy red beans, the crunchy cocoa cereal, the rich creamy coffee ice cream, the balancing almond slices and the shot of espresso that melts it all together. It is a bit pricey but this should be enough for at least 2-4 people. The other flavors are quite good as well, but I just wanted to highlight the coffee shaved ice which leaves me coming back for more. We just had one last night with weather in the 20s. Worth! This place is my saving grace. On a day when your local Starbucks is flooded with people and you can't be bothered for another basic latte, Caffe Bene is there with free WiFi, an abundance of seating, and fun drinks/menu items. I arrived at 2:45 on a Sunday afternoon. There wasn't any line to order and I had my choice of seating. I understand this isn't everyone's experience with Caffe Bene and that sometimes it can be crowded and loud, but for me it's always been pleasant. I ordered a Hazelnut Latte in a mug (I absolutely love that they offer mugs and to go cups). They only have two sizes, medium and large, and the drinks are a little pricey for the quality. But I always feel that atmosphere and the hype of the shop itself goes into how much I'm willing to pay for coffee. The customer is given a buzzer at the end of their order, just like the ones you get in a restaurant. When your order is done it naturally buzzes loud enough to make you jump a few feet in the air (I told myself I would play it cool when it went off, I did not). They don't bring drinks or food to your table, you have to go pick up your tray - no matter how insanely full your latte is. If you really don't feel like you can walk across the shop with a mug and saucer of hot coffee (me at times), I would recommend getting a to go cup. read more

After seeing Caffe Bene in Korean dramas, I finally have one near home! Caffe Bene is a Korean coffee / dessert chain. They offer savory sandwiches, honey toast, waffles, shaved ice, and a variety of coffee and tea beverages. They have plenty of seating, free wifi, and apparently live piano music at select times. I have visited this location a few times already. The first couple times, I just ordered an Americano - plain and simple. However, I finally visited with someone who wanted to share a snowflake shaved ice dessert. We ordered a Spicy Chicken Sandwich and a Taro Snowflake Shaved Ice. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich tastes very Korean. If that's even a useful descriptor... The cheese and spicy chicken pair well, and the bread is perfectly toasted. Otherwise, the sandwich is just okay. At around $8, you can probably find a better sandwich elsewhere. The Taro Snowflake Shaved Ice was soft, smooth, and delicious! Full of taro flavor! The order comes with red bean, vanilla ice cream, mochi, and a side of taro sauce, dressing, syrup, whatever it is called... You are supposed to pour the syrup as you go. You can also request additional syrup on the side if you run out. The extra syrup is free of charge, but it better be, considering the dessert costs $11 (more expensive than other Korean cafes). Caffe Bene is a cute place to grab a coffee or dessert with friends after dinner or even for a short coffee date with someone. That really killed my whole taste bud on the "honey bread" itself. I'm going to guess they freshly made it but why as the bread itself hard as rocks? No thank you.. My macchiato was pretty good. Not too overbearing with the caramel. I hate it when they kill the whole coffee vibe with a load of syrup to the pint where I get a head ache. While out on a Saturday morning looking for coffee, yelp app in hand, I found I was closest to Caffe Bene, so I stopped on in. Very friendly staff, immediately greeting me and explaining their menu (they even have props to give you an idea of what you're ordering). I ordered the Medium Mocha Frappe and the Caramel cinnamon honey bread. I intended to get both to go, but they told me they couldn't fit the honey bread in a to go box with the big tower of whipped cream on the bread, so I decided to eat there. Their mocha frappe ($4.45) was pretty smooth and strong (to me). It was sweet, but not overly so, and I enjoyed it. The Caramel cinnamon honey bread ($6.95) was huge, and i'd never experienced honey bread before so this was new to me. The bread is kinda dissected into 9 pieces, so you can easily pull off a piece with your fork and share, if you're a person who does share. Cinnamon is powdered all over and the caramel is drizzled over both the whipped cream, bread and plate. It looked beautiful, and tasted pretty good! I don't have any place to compare it to, but for what I tried, i'd definitely swing back by. The interior of Caffe Bene is really beautiful, with nice comfortable chairs, a wooden decor all around, even a few instruments like a piano and guitar (not sure if they're just props or if they're played). On a Saturday morning, there were very few people there, so I suppose if you wanted to study or have a more quiet meal, anytime before noon on a weekend may be great for you. Parking isn't an issue, located in the Suwanee Depot area and to the left of the Big Office Depot Nice little place that i'm happy to have stopped in on. I have enjoyed thenCaffe Bene in New York and Los Angeles and find this spot just as good, but not as busy :) This is a pretty cool spot to meet a friend or work from while enjoying coffee, a snack or ice cream and waffles. I have come here serval times and always find the place inspiring to work from with comfortable music and different seating areas. The staff is always super friendly and the Internet is blazing fast. Quality of the coffee and espresso is stellar and the sandwiches and snowflake deserts are very tasty. The smoothies I have yet to try, but heard many people rave over how good they taste. I do think many of the items are a little over priced, but nothing outrageous. This Korean franchise is a little more mainstream than the Mozart or Windmill, but offers a good product and worth checking out if you have not yet. read more

However, I will be honest and say my tastebuds were quite disappointed. I ordered the waffle - strawberrynana. Nothing in particular really makes this waffle amazing or worth ordering again. In fact, the waffle is really dense and starchy. I prefer my waffles to be fluffy with a crisp to add a nice texture. I also ordered the green tea ice parfait. This is really what the name suggests. I don't know why I was expecting it to be more like bingsu. Perhaps because it comes with a layer of sweet red beans and a scoop of green tea ice cream. The ice parfait comes in a tall bowl/cup with 80% of it filled with shaved ice with a slight flavor of green tea. They layer the shaved ice with a little bit of sweet red beans followed by a scoop of green tea ice cream. You will also find a few pieces of walnuts (warning for ppl with nut allergies!!). The best part is that you can actually take your time eating it because the ice doesn't melt very fast since it's not milky. I found this to be refreshing but lacking in flavor. The location and decor of this cafe is absolutely amazing! So gorgeous and clean! The inside has a nice wood cabin feel to it! And overall presentation blew me away! They have a cute table of fake display sets of the desserts and drinks they provide! Which adds nicely to how professional the cafe looks! If you brought your first date here they would most definitely be impressed! Price-wise it's pretty average for a cafe. The food is subpar at best. Their desserts arent anything too astounding. I guess the quality is fresher than most but nothing mind blowing. I ordered their affogato, which is basically a coffee float. When I got my order I was surprised. I have never had to pour my own coffee into my ice cream. Which makes me feel like they did not know how to make it. If that's the case they should take it off of their menu. I had their gelato which tasted odd. Not bad odd but like it's been in the freezer for too long odd. Im normally a fan of all gelato but this one didn't taste right! It tastes better with their espresso. I know I seem like I'm complaining, but there is a good reason. While I was politely taking my pictures one of the workers came up to me to ask to see if I was lost or probably a neighboring spy for another cafe. Which I understand how suspicious someone would look taking pictures of their displays! But the final nail on the head was the person on the register who had no idea what I was ordering and didn't smile. And took my order like I was bothering him. While they didn't even acknowledge me when I went up to the pick up area. I had to ask to confirm which one was mine, while a worker was standing there avoiding eye contact.
