Was going here and supporting and tipping during corona lockdown because they were open. They let people in without masks. They would not let my service dog in today and I have papers that he is a service dog. Not sure why they are allowing humans with no face masks in but not a service dog. Was trying to be thoughtful and support local business but now I am just going to go to Starbucks and they allow my dog to come in and grab a drink for 1-2 minutes maximum and leave. read more

I though This was a nice spot for a quick espresso and nosh. However, I've noticed that the counter person never gives correct change always keeping 2, 3 or 4 cents. The first time My bill was $7.03 one day and I gave him $10.10 and he said thanks handed me 3 dollars an closed the register. Being in a rush I thought the heck with it and left. The second time I called him out on the two cents he tried to keep and his response was "it's only 2 cents but your right" Yesterday the same thin. How much is he making by only STEALING "2cents" a customer? Sorry no more! read more

nice cozy coffee shop on the upper east side with a touch of french inspired decor. while every was sitting outside i was inside with my choice of sitting alone at a table or sitting alone by the wall counter area and even with my cuz with me i consider myself alone cause cuz rarely talks . ok i made my way to the front to scan the menu board on the wall but got distracted by the heavy display of pastries , cookies , poundcakes and other edible treats. i cant really stuff my face this morning as i need a semi empty stomach for sunday football grub but a biscotti with large decaffeinated cappy should be good enough. i like the relaxing vibe inside more then i like the hot drink i spilled on my pants but no one is watching so its a ok. the posters of the euro products on the wall reminds me of the coffee joints in paris without the french speaking crowds. i like this place and i will come back next week for my cappy and pastry fix along with silent cuz. read more

This is my go-to coffee shop near my office. Hands down, their coffee is great. I often stop in here before heading into work. They know how to make a delicious cup of coffee to get you going in the morning! Food wise, the pastries & yogurts are the best thing. They have amazing muffins in particular. I've had their pre-made mini bagels and lunch wraps as well. They aren't the greatest, but taste as good as any other place that made the food the night before. Although I love the coffee here, this is not the kind of place I would want to hang out in. It's not very cute or aesthetically pleasing, and it's often pretty crowded and cramped. read more

Cute little cafe/eatery on the UES. It's always super packed in the morning with people on their way to work. i stopped in to get a hot chocolate which was delicious. However, the drinks there can be a bit pricey. I mean the guy selling hot drinks and pastries on the corner is just as good! And cheaper too. But yeah, they have sandwiches, muffins, pastries, smoothies and coffee/tea. It's a nice place to stop by if you're on the run and don't want to be hassled by crazy busy Starbucks'. read more

Coffee at this place is great. There's not much room for seating, so I usually grab a coffee on the go. They sometimes add steamed milk when you ask for milk in your coffee, which turns regular coffee into a real treat (and it's great on a cold winter day). This is a tiny, unassuming and relatively inexpensive shop, and I definitely prefer it to Starbucks. They also have great snacks, like adorable mini-bagels with lox or tuna. Just had a TERRIBLE experience here. Walked in and ordered a drink and realized quickly I ordered the wrong thing. I asked the lady if I can switch and she said yes and the man working there was incredibly rude to me. He wouldn't switch my order and was completely condescending. I then told him I didnt want my drinks and he couldn't care less. When I told him he'd be losing a loyal customer over this he told me that was my choice. I called as soon as I walked out to ask what his name was and he said "I'm not giving you my name" and hung up the phone on me. I never in my life had an experience like this anywhere and can't believe how little customer service matters. I will never walk in there again after 5 + years of going there. read more

FAVORITE NEIGHBORHOOD COFFEE SHOP! The coffee is nice and strong and they offer many different flavor options. For such a small shop they offer a lot more than just coffee, like fruit cups, sandwiches, cookies, smoothies etc. Also, the staff is helpful when you ask questions or if something is not to your liking they always fix it or make you something new. I appreciate that a lot. Ive been in there during the morning rush hour and the line is out the door and they bang it out real quick. The ladies there always remember my order. Love it. read more

the negative reviews of this place are disconcerting... 2 things. 1. i can't really speak for the plastic wrapped baked goods, but the regular croissant was legit. i've eaten at all the 'best' croissant places in the city and i can assure you that in both appearance and flavor, it is a very solid croissant. so, for the most part, i trust that they know where to get solid baked goods. 2. the coffee is strong in a good 'coffee' way. if you are used to watered down coffee, don't criticize cafe's because your pallet is not developed enough to appreciate real coffee. next time, just ask them to add some water and i'm sure it will magically taste familiar to you; go back to starbucks and dunkin this is a solid coffee shop and there isn't a better place to get a cup of coffee in a 5 block radius. read more

Bacio is the perfect place for a quick caffeine fix on the run. I stop in once or twice a week for an espresso, coffee or chai latte and have never been disappointed.The folks who work here are skilled and efficient. My first (and last) time visiting this shop... my husband purchased a Caramel Macchiato and the Almond Milk was scorched. I returned the latte and thy made me a new one, which the barista also scorched! I told her she was overheating the milk (I managed a coffee bar out of state) as did the other person working. I think that other peoples negative projectioms are very incorrect. I was referred to this little place by a good friend because it had fast, friendly service and great coffe/food, as well as being close in proximity to my home. When i arrived i got exactly as what had been promised. I had one of the best mozzarella pannini's ive ever had in my entire life as well as a cup of coffee that made me offially want to convert from starbucks. Half as fast and twice as good. And that goes for everything, not just the coffee.
