The website calls it an "Oasis of calm" and you know what? It really is. With a feel of a conservatory in the garden rather than a restaurant; this place is rustic in all the right ways. I chose to sit inside the cafe (as the weather couldn't decide what it was doing) and sat by the large glass windows which look out onto the green garden area. I popped to the counter to order a filter coffee (a very reasonable £1.65), but they had run out at the time. "Not a problem", said my friendly server "I'll whip you up an Americano for the same price". Now that's service! The coffee was good too. Fragrant and not bitter, it certainly hit the spot! All of the staff I encountered during my visit were friendly, smiley and helpful. There was a lovely vibe in the venue and several different groups were enjoying a spot of food or a nice coffee whilst I was in there. Some people were (like me) clearly doing a spot of work, some people were taking the opportunity to have a good catch up with friends and some brave souls were sitting outside and celebrating a birthday. I didn't eat on this visit, but I intend to go back and give it a go at some point. The food that I saw looked delicious and defiantly warranted another trip to KH.
