"chaii wala chaii wala chaii chaii chaii!"
"Chips, namkeen, biscuit!'
These are the sounds i hear whenever I visit chaiiwala . Some of you may have recognised, that those words are the national anthem of the marvel that is the train journeys in India.
I first went to Chaiiwala in Leicester, and then again Peterborough, constantly disappointed that there wasn't one in Birmingham, but alas, my dreams have been fulfilled.
Chaiiwala's food and their specialty Karak chai, which I like with saffron, truly takes me to the rattling of the old blue train, speeding through villages, in which every 5 minutes there would be a vendor , my favourite being the chai wala (Tea vendor ) . And the chai in chaiiwala tastes exactly like the sweet milky delight I had on the train, that I never thought I would have again.
Not just this, but their masala and Mogo (cassava )chips, Mogo being one of my favourites due to my east African heritage are to die for! Everything here is good. The butter chicken roti is succulent, the breakfast is layers upon layers of flavour and the chai ... Oh the chai, I can't talk about it enough.
