Can I just say, YUM. I didn't got into the tiny cafe expecting a lot but it really blew me away. I found myself wanting to go back today, in fact. A very yummy coffee selection. My sister got the dulce de leche latte- soooo good! They have a small beer selection with some local beers. They also have a local wine selection. Upon arrival we got complimentary bread (YUMMY) and some spinach fritters with a sauce. The spinach fitters were not on the menu but I wanted more!! For food, all four of us shared our items. We got a seasonal salad that had lots of veggies and butternut squash. Very yummy. My husband got a steak with potatoes. We got the pasta special. And we shared the empanadas sampler. Let me tell you the sampler was worth the $30! It was such a fun experience and it was awesome to try them all! I want to go back solely for those! The place is pricey, but you get what you pay for! As Argentinian I think the food is pricy $16 for two empanadas is expensive, but I guess you pay for the rest of the things that I mentioned at the beginning. Friendly people, it's spacious, the food options are fantastic, the coffees are very, very good and well blended and roasted. I. E. If you want a cappuccino, you get an actual cappuccino, not 'a regular shot with milk' like some coffee places do because people don't like actual cappuccino espresso shots. Food and service is not slow, but it's not a rushed affair either. Don't expect to dine and dash out of here in less than 40 minutes unless you're specifically getting coffee. I flew in to Santa Fe, and make a point of never going to a restaurant or Cafe more than once whenever I'm on a vacation to somewhere I've never been. I came here twice. Just afterwards is where we were lacking. It really felt like we were being shunned for how we looked and who we were, this definitely not a good first impression. It was NOT cute. After waiting for a 35 min, we just picked up and left. No business, no money, no food. Major bad news considering we traveled pretty far and looked forward to this place. We got better service and INSANELY good food experience at a Dim Sum place. Simple, food was insanely good and humble. They got a lot of Our $$$ and we even got frozen stuff to take home. The humita wasn't bad, looked like a large shumai instead of empanada shaped. Very creamy. The membrillo (quince) was good but not quite what I expected as it had more of a melted congealed cheese like provolone or mozzarella rather than ricotta or cream like I am used to with sweet empanadas, it came with a cinnamon paste and a little bit of fruit. Ordered the Baca Bowl which was supposed to be a bowl of rice and veggies. First of all it was served on a plate and the portion of vegetables was so small and the quantity of rice so skimpy that it might have been considered an appetizer.
