While the food was okay it wasn't anything amazing. The lobster bisque had very few actual lobster pieces in it, which made it feel more like broth and the sandwich came out so hot I couldn't eat it right away. It was reminiscent of a sammie being pulled from the freezer and tossed in the microwave and it wasn't amazing. The staff was polite and helpful. Decided we wanted to try this place after driving by it a few times. To our surprise, it was delicious! We ordered the green goddess salad, mushroom bisque, and chicken enchilada soup. It came with a complimentary bread roll, and a chocolate covered strawberry for each order. It's self-serve where you order up front and they make it to order in front of you and then you pay. So I was riding down 380 with a friend and yelled out when I saw this Cafe Zupas location! Nearly scared her to death. I live in N Texas, but travel to Minneapolis frequently for work and often eat at Cafe Zupas while I'm there - it's a favorite for sure. Great healthy options and the ingredients are so fresh! Bonus is the chocolate covered strawberry you get with your meal! I ate there last week and got the Green Goddess bowl - so so good! Was excited about this location opening up because I like the idea of more "healthy" fast food choices, but was thoroughly disappointed. I ordered the bowl with cottage cheese, sweet potato and chicken. There were a total of 5 miniature sweet potato pieces. Just a comically small portion....same thing for the amount of chicken. I even ordered an extra portion and there was still barely any. Mind you this bowl cost over 20 dollars. To make matters worse the chicken was sinewy and under seasoned and to top it off, while I was chewing through it, I felt something hard and pulled a size-able piece of chicken bone (see photo) out of my mouth. Grateful I felt it in my mouth before I swallowed it. That would have been bad. Can safely say that will be my last Cafe Zupas experience. read more

We first discovered this place last night while searching for a place that had soup because my husband had teeth removed. We came here because they had soup and we had tried several of them and they were all very delicious and we each had sandwiches and also a salad. We liked it so much. We came back today! When you order a try 2 combo, they give you a chocolate dipped strawberry and they're very delicious too! They also have a very nice drink selection that includes version drinks that you can make and a way to make dirty sodas and also some fruit juices. The sandwiches are nice and light and they also have protein bowls just get up here and try it yourself. You will love it! And the customer service is great. Everybody is friendly and helpful. Busy place! All the staff was friendly and accommodating. I arrived before my family and informed them we would be a party of 7 if all the grand kids came. So they got to work and pulled tables together. Turned out the two older grand kids didn't come so it was only 5 of us but we were comfortable. I eat mostly carnivore, but on occasion a few greens. I chose the protein bowl and asked for extra chicken. It was a good choice and the food was excellent. They offered a sample of their cauliflower soup which was quite good, but I passed as I limit my vegetables because of oxalates and inflammation. I declined the roll that came with my salad and the girl offered an extra strawberry with my meal. I was surprised to find they were dipped in chocolate I decided to forgo my ban on sugar for the small amount of chocolate on the strawberry they were yummy. My family enjoyed all their choices. Ordered take out for dinner. I have no idea how the food tastes. The take out tray is very flimsy. A wet newspaper is stronger. Very flimsy is a gross understatement. I will never go there again. When I first came on the grand opening, the food was amazing, I got the green goddess bowl and grated a ton of fresh Parmesan on it. The soups were not super hot, but they were delicious so that made up for the fact. However, my friend and I recently went back this week, and I'm sad to say that it seems like quality has declined a bit since they came to Texas. First and foremost, they do no longer grate the Parmesan on the salad, which was such a great part and it was so delicious it came shaved already. Secondly, my friend is a vegetarian, and ended up having chicken in her salad, which deterred her from eating anymore. She was a bit scared. I am assuming. Now for the hot honey bowl, which I got, I think it was way too saucy, and I'm not sure if they put the right dressing on it. I didn't end up taking it home, but not finishing the soups are still great, and we will grow back for those! However, the bowls are just declined. The service was amazing, though, the gentleman and the lobby who was helping us was attentive and always willing to do things needed to ensure we had a great time. I really appreciated him, and all of the team behind the counter. Despite the fact the food just isn't as enjoyable as I feel it was before. They do have busy moments, during peak time such as lunch, but they die down. Also, we were there for about 2 to 3 hours and there were times when it was just the two of us sitting at the table chatting. The music they play is pop, very upbeat and the establishment is clean as a hole. It's one of the cleanest bathrooms I've seen I told my friend that it rivals Buc-ee's. As whole, it's still great health food and a fun place to have a filling meal the strawberries make the trip worth it since it's about an hour drive to enjoy it, but I don't think I'll make it that frequently going forward. Try the orange Creamsicle drink. It's really great, a nice balance between the oat milk, and the fruit! read more

Amazing food, I would recommend the ultimate grilled cheese, the pesto spread is amazing. The service was also incredible, the staff, especially Kalin was super attentive and ensured we had what we needed the entire time. I placed a fairly large order today that was supposed to be ready at 11:50 AM. I pulled up to the mobile through and they said it wasn't ready so I had to go to a drive-through parking spot which is fine. I anticipated waiting an extra couple minutes since it was a large order. But I would prefer if they would have more accurate arrival times. I waited in my car for almost 30 minutes for our order until a girl came up and asked what I was waiting for, and they had to remake my whole order or start making it because she said the new guy lost the ticket and they never made it. I had two screaming children in the backseat for 30 minutes waiting on this order. She said she triple checked everything and that it was all there. Upon arriving at home, I see that my meal the pick two (chicken enchilada soup and the turkey bacon avocado) was not what I ordered. Instead of the Turkey bacon avocado I was given a brisket grilled cheese which is completely different. My drink the strawberry daiquiri mocktail was awful and super watery. Then my daughter's turkey grilled cheese wasn't even melted. They did throw in extra strawberries I assume for making me wait 30 minutes. The girl that brought out my food, was super sweet (cute little blonde girl) and she apologized a lot. The chocolate strawberries and the chocolate strawberry cup was good but I don't know if I'll be going back since I waited so long and the food was still wrong. read more

This was a unique experience. I pulled in the drive through and was greeted by a kiosk to take my own order which was new. There was no one in line and the store appeared pretty empty. I went to the window to pay and was told to pull forward to wait for my food. It took about 15-20 minutes which was kind of annoying considering the place wasn't too busy. I ordered a hot honey cottage cheese bowl: it comes with cottage cheese, chicken, sweet potatoes, avocados, and greens for $12. I also ordered the mushroom truffle soup for $6. The soup was genuinely some of the best soup I've ever had. It was so flavorful and unique-- the bread roll was also delicious. The bowl was pretty decent. Nothing too crazy but it was solid and healthy. I received a really yummy complimentary chocolate dipped strawberry which was nice. The packaging was cute too. Overall I think this place has a lot of potential, I wish the wait time wasn't so long! read more

Went to McKinney location on 380. We ordered a bowl of soup, sandwich, a strawberry drink, and strawberry cup drizzled in chocolate syrup. Even though the sandwich was good, it could have been much better if it had more meat - there was very little meat. The picture on their menu looks deceiving. The soup looked amazing and we tried their golden curry soup, which was overly sour. I sampled the enchilada soup and it was really good! Wife and I had lunch here--our first visit. It was quite busy but everything ran smoothly and efficiently. All staff was friendly and helpful. The chicken noodle soup was great and the mushroom bisque was excellent. The rolls served with the soup were very fresh, soft and flavorful.
