Cafe Zio has always been a long time favorite of mine, even if there is no seating inside. This place has plenty of parking in their lot, and they even deliver your drink or food to your car (implemented during COVID and it stuck). I first came here when you had to order at the cashier, and there were stamp cards. Now, it is all done at a kiosk with rewards done on the Toast app. I don't like how ordering on the kiosk doesn't allow you to adjust for the ice or sweet level (at least on our drinks). At the end of the kiosk menu, it'll ask you for your make, model, and color of your car- along with relatively where you parked. If you sign up with your number, you get $5 for your birthday. They will bring you the drink with your straw. I like that they have a vast menu, from smoothies, specialty drinks, milk or fruits boba to croffles and ice cream. I got an iced dalgona latte with honeycomb on the top. The drink was delicious, but you can really taste and feel the espresso.

I got the Dalgona Cafe Latte, and it was so cute looking to me! What a cute little store! I love that they offer to bring the drinks to your car once it's ready. I have never been to a coffee/tea shop that provide that kind of service. I decided to wait inside for my drink though. The drink was good, and it has good flavored. The pricing was pretty decent too compared to places like Starbucks. I would come back.

Croffles are crisp in all the right parts, the drinks are well mixed, selection is vast and service is great. Bubbles and other toppings are not included in the fruit and milk teas so you will have to order it for your drink. Despite that, prices are reasonable. We spent slightly less than $30 for 4 large drinks and a croffle. Food and drinks are on the sweeter side, so it's great if you have a sweet tooth. Shop is a bit small so it's more of an order to go kind of place.

Amazing price, drink not so much...I got taro coconut, I knew it was already going to be powder judging by the place and the price, but it was still disappointing. There was a very slight hint of coconut flavor to it. The taro was like all powder taro. The boba wasn't bad. The drink was too water tasting for me.

They special in Coffee - Smoothies - Ice Cream - and of course the best Bubble Tea!!! I honestly I don't know what me wait so long to try Cafe Zio, but I loved it from the first time I visited them. It's a small shop but they serve the best drinks! You usually place your order in store and then you wait in your car for them to deliver your delicious drink to you! They upgraded from stamp card to toasttab.com and you can enroll to earn 1 point for every $1 spent and receive a $3.50 discount for every 50 points you redeem. Cafe Zio drinks are freshly made when ordered and the bubbles are amazing after all they are #1!!! You can customize your drinks from brewed or creamy bubble tea and up to two flavors per drink which is really cool. They are very affordable, staff are friendly and service is quick! So if you are ever in the Edison area and you want to get the best Bubble Tea then Cafe Zio is the place to be!

This is easily my favorite bubble tea shop. When you walk in, you can order on the digital screen or speak to the employee at the register. All of the employees have been really nice and helpful every time I have come in. After you order, you wait in your car and they bring it out to you. I love the large list of flavors and the fact that I can combine two flavors in my drink. I always get a mocha & coconut creamy bubble tea with tapioca pearls, coconut flakes, & 75% sugar. I also tried the dalgona latte and really enjoyed it. Cafe Zio also has an online rewards program that's really easy to use & rewards you for loyalty. I love this place and 100% recommend it.

Always a delight to go get boba here. The drinks are ALWAYS tasty and refreshing. My favorite thing on their menu is actually their croffles, it's so good! They're always friendly and helpful. A big perk is they deliver the drinks to your car after you order! I LOVE it here

Having been to tastee subs and mr wish across the street several times I'm surprised it took me this long to stop by. I saw this place was rocking serious reviews and had no idea what it was and had to see what the hype was about. You go in, place your order and they bring it out to your car. There is no seating here just a counter for ice cream and ordering. It's a very tiny spot. I got the Thai iced tea and Nutella croffle both definitely exceeded my expectations. I recommend both! The croffle had a warm Nutella spread and the middle was flaky soft in each bite. I'll be back because I noticed they had dalgona coffee and I have yet to try that anywhere.

Great selection of drinks ranging from bubble tea, smoothies, coffee, and teas. The customer service was good, staff was super friendly, establishment was clean, and there was even an option for them to bring your drinks to your car! It was recommended to place your order via the kiosk located by the counter. The staff was more than happy to answer any additional questions but the item descriptions and pictures on the kiosk was sufficient enough. There was so many options to choose from but I ultimately decided to try their Dalgona cafe Latte with an extra shot added in and it was delicious! Can't wait to come back and try some other items!

Small but mighty cafe shop that specializes in coffee and bubble teas and also has delicious snacks to enjoy. Can someone say, filled waffles? Yum! It truly has a bit of everything. So much so, their menu is changing, yet again to accommodate the increasing things they are offering. Look up at the board to see their regular menu and then look to the sides, to find their latest specials. Hopefully, during the summer, they will offer their Snowflake desserts (Korean shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings) back. Upon arriving and perusing their menu, I saw two of my favorite words, double espresso! I was so ordering it. The cashier recommended the Dalgato Cafe Latte. Their Dalgona Coffee is very different from the regular Dalgona coffee's I've had prior. Theirs is actually the Korean Dalgona Candy which features the Honeycomb Toffee on top. This drink as it is on par with the Brown Sugar drinks, I've tasted. It is sweet and you can have two (2) shots of espresso, poured on top. It sounded so appealing, Hubby decided to request one of his own. Neither of us requested any bobas but you can add some if you so desire. They do offer a choice of milk for your drinks. In addition to their regular milk, as well as skim, they also offer alternative milk such as soy, almond, and Lactaid milk. This small cafe is tight and due to the pandemic, about 3 people are allowed inside while maintaining a 6 ft distance. After you place your order, you can either wait outside, where they provided some chairs for you or you can be seated inside your car. The cashier will ask you what is the make and color of your car and they will bring the purchased items to you. The wonderful employees are all very efficient and service is quick.

Even though I've been frequenting Cafe Zio for the past 3 years, I'm surprised I haven't reviewed it yet. The service and food are both great and you can't beat the price. My friends and I will always come here after exams to drink our depression away :D I recommend ordering on the kiosk inside and the workers will bring your order to your car. You can also order pickup through the Toast app. The owners and workers are super nice! My boyfriend orders the same thing every time we visit so the owners remember us and will have his drink ready when I finish ordering. A lot of their menu items are also homemade (for example, they make their strawberry puree for the strawberry milk). Sundays are one of their busiest days so I recommend going on a weekday. For drinks, my go-to is passionfruit and orange green tea with 50% sugar, less ice, and tapioca pearls. Other great options are the pong shake, cream matcha latte, and purple potion smoothie. For food, I recommend the cream cheese croffle and jam waffle.

I came here wanting to try a new different place. The place is small ans nezr to a barber place we almost missed it. Its a local shop pretty small inside but there is a way to order via a kiosk or at the counter. There seems to be three people in the back making teas. The menu is not your traditional menu more like a contemporary coffee shop like. There is no seating on the inside a few chairs on the outside and Its You choose the type of tea 3 to choose from. Your own combo of flavors to add and the topping. There is a creamy base which is the milk base vs the non creamy which has no milk just tea and flavoring. We got the mangolada. The initial taste is pina colada but then the mango taste hits. Also gotten the oolong with honeydew and boba and pudding, at first i was worried that i made the wrong choice in not choosing the creamy but as the guy being out the teas to us and i had my first sip in anticipation that i needed a cream base. I was really surprised i really love it. The flavor of the tea and the honeydew needed no milk. I would definitely order a non milk base. The only thing is its a little sweet personally for me, but its also hard to find a place that brews good tea that you don't need milk. This is definitely a great tea shop, I have a few other drinks that i will be looking forward to try next time.

There are many bubble tea shops in Edison. Cafe Zio is an independently owned shop that makes good beverages and eats. Having tried several beverages, I can say that it is one of the bubble tea shops in the Edison area that produces tasty drinks and will frequent, when in the area. I've ordered the Dalgona Latte, the Classic or Creamy Milk Tea with Tapioca Pearls and the Brewed Tea with dairy and Tapioca Pearls. All were delicious and true to their description. Because I am fond of coffee, my favorite is the Dalgona Latte. It's got the creaminess, sugary caramel sweetness from the Dalgona Toffee and the bitterness from the espresso to balance everything out.....for me. The Classic Milk Tea which is a black tea latte is rich and creamy with a noticeable black tea flavor. I would choose this over the Brewed Tea with dairy since the latter is a bit thin for my taste. It's a small shop. Once the order is placed, your order is delivered to you outside the shop. This practice was implemented after Covid to minimize crowds within the shop. Thank you Cafe Zio!! Alternative milks are offered for an additional charge and real milk is used for the beverages instead of milk powder. I support independent shops so I will continue to shop local and they make GREAT beverages. Notes: * Parking lot. * Reasonable prices. * Get a rewards card. This place is seriously legit. In the midst of so many competitors, this place stands out, not only for the quality of their drinks and food, but for their service and value. The prices here is significantly less than the neighboring bubble tea places, and the owner is so nice and amazingly accommodating. Highly recommend. This is my favorite bubble tea shop out of the other ones around the area. It's a very small and cute place. Seatings are limited so you may be asked to moved to a smaller table to accommodate larger crowds. I believe it is owned by a couple as I see them working all the time. The price for bubble tea and other drinks are very similar to other shops around the area. My favorite has to be the Earl Grey tea which has a very nice citrusy aftertaste. Plus you get a stamp for every drink you buy (one free drink after 10 drinks). read more

Cafe Zio is my favorite bubble tea place! I am lactose intolerant and Cafe Zio offers a lactose-free milk tea option that tastes just as creamy as the regular milk tea option. I usually order the fruit milk teas with jelly and the prices are reasonable for the size of the drinks. I also enjoy their rewards cards which allow you to get any size drink free after buying 10 drinks. read more

This is my favorite cafe in all of central jersey so far, by far. Clean, well kept, with tasteful decor, furnishings, and music. It's a real hidden jewel. Run by a very sweet couple. Oh yes, and the tea/coffee/bubble tea is delicious. Next time I come here I will definitely try the banana waffle! Will be hitting this joint up often going forward! read more

Very cute local bubble tea business. Owners were friendly. There are a few table and seats available to enjoy your drink. I ordered a cookies n' cream bubble tea and I was very happy with the taste and the quality of the tapioca pearls (was not over cooked or undercooked). The cookies and cream had a rich chocolate flavor with Oreo crumbles to top it off. The price was comparable to a bubble tea chain shop - around 4.50 for a medium-sized drink. I enjoyed the Christmas festivities decorations that livened up the shop. read more

Really great bubble tea. I used to hit King Fu tea because of the app but I saw the reviews for this place and decided to try. Great bubble tea. Really good. We never make any adjustments and we travel from Englishtown to get our boba fix. Last week I came 20 min after they closed and they still allowed me to order. Good bubble tea!! Not the best I've had, but it IS some of the best I've had in NJ. Prices are fair, and service is great. Seriously, the people working here are hard-working and clearly value the time of those waiting, even if it means they have to run around a bit. They are helpful, and knowledgable. Depending on when you go, line can be basically out the door or nonexistent. Parking is never an issue, there is a sizeable lot behind the store. Overall, I definitely recommend this place, as do many others. read more

I have tried several of their cream bubble teas. Tai and Chai are my favorites. I like the Tarro and Green at other shops better, but these flavors are definitely good at Cafe Zio. They are always friendly and helpful. The decor (Legos, Star Wars) is also kind of cool. My wife and I are now hooked on bubble tea and this is one of our favorite places. read more

Love that they offer non-dairy milk options (oat, almond, soy)! It's rare to find a bubble tea place that offers alternatives, usually it's just lactaid. Would recommend oat if you're not sure, since it tastes very close to regular milk. Also like that they offer ACTUAL brewed Thai tea. It might not say on their menu, but it's advertised on their chalkboard in person. If you like Thai, definitely get the brewed version and add bubbles or whatever to it. I find that the usual powdered/liquid Thai flavoring just isn't the same as the real tea. I usually get white pearls, and only got regular pearls once. The regular pearls were fine, not the softest or chewiest that I've had, but enough to pass the test. Great, solid friendly coffee and bubble tea place with many options to play. read more

I love this cafe. They have a such a variety of drinks that I can always find one that suits my mood. I love their taro bubble tea when I'm craving something sweet and their strawberry punch (strawberry + lemonade) when I'm in the mood for something more refreshing. When I feel more adventurous, I try other things on their menu, which have yet to disappoint. Today, per my friend's recommendation, I got the earl grey bubble tea and was pleasantly surprised with the strong tea flavor that I wasn't expecting. Definitely would recommend to other friends who like earl grey. But if you are not a fan of strong tea flavors, probably stay away from this one. They also serve great waffles - used to be thin, Korean stret-style waffles that I love, but have been changed to more belgian style waffles. But they are still so delicious that it's hard to resist them when I go there with my friends. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who loves desserts! read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE MY CAFE ZIO. The other bubble tea places can't even compete with the level of care and quality the owners put into the food and drinks here. I would come here over any other bubble tea place around ANY DAY. Thank you cafe zio for all the yummy bubble teas I've had and for always making my 2.5 year old his very own special bubble tea "The Eunsung Special"(whole milk with tapioca). Amazing bubble tea and the sweetest owners! We were introduced to Cafe Zio in its first month open, and its been our go-to bubble tea spot ever since! Seriously I can't even count the number of stamp cards we've gone through. Their milk teas are my favorite-- deliciously sweet and creamy! But they also have great desserts, like their waffles and their bingsoos. While the food and drinks are both amazing here, what makes Cafe Zio stand out in an area of popular, large bubble tea chains is their variety of flavor combinations, as well as the warm service from the couple that owns the place. I can't get my favorite Earl Grey-Lychee milk tea anywhere else! Every time we come back here, we're happy to see more seating added to the cozy shop as they gain more and more regular customers. Love supporting this mom and pop shop any time we're in the area! Hope they only get more popular and eventually expand! read more

The place is really small but the staff is super nice and the amount of different flavor combinations is huge (and that's excluding any toppings). The tea tastes like it was homemade, a unique experience I've never had before with other establishments. It is also the cheapest bubble tea I've ever bought in America. Overall, it's a double whammy of great flavor at a great price. read more

This is for sure my favorite bubble tea place that offers quality service and of course, amazing bubble tea. Their tapioca pearls are always fresh and their wide selection of drinks to choose from are always perfectly made for whatever I am craving. Their employees are always so kind and caring, quick to tend to your needs regardless of the request. I am sure many people will attest to my claims in that the workers of Cafe Zio are of the friendliest kind, and truly care for each customer's satisfaction. They provide a genuine environment that makes it always an enjoyable time for my friends and I. I can not speak for the bubble tea here because I never tried after someone told me the boba was hard tasting. However the CARAMEL MACHIATTO omg better than any cafe you will go to all over Europe, anywhere. It is strong with just the perfect amount sweet caramelly goodness.. I'll come here to treat myself once in a while since the prices are Starbucks level. The owners are also very sweet read more

I recently found out about this place through the grapevine and decided to try it out. I have no regrets coming here. Their drinks are amazing! My favorite drink is white peach green tea with sea salt milk foam. Its every delicious! Their waffles are great! My favorite is the cookies n' cream. I really enjoy the decor. The owners decorated the place with LEGO models and give the place a very youthful atmosphere. The owners are the one usually working the store and they are such nice people. They are very friendly and give great customer service! The only downside to the place is that it is very small and cozy. I highly recommend this place! read more

A friend recommended this spot for several things and I would do the same to anyone looking for a cafe with solid drinks. I am posting a picture of their Rose Bubble Teas served with real dried roses and heart shaped jellies. It looks more amazing in person!!Slightly sweetened so it isn't an overpowering and pretty refreshing. Their bubble tea selection is great, and Bingsoo is as authentic as the one's you get in Korean shops in Bergen/Palisades Park. Go and support your local business! read more

I've only had one drink and I'm giving 5 stars in advance for the others I have yet to try! Great selection of milk and iced teas! Didn't know what to get, so I went with one of their top 5 picks. I had the cookies n cream bubble tea which is very similar to a frappe, only better when it comes with boba! They also have other dessert options like waffles sundaes, yum! read more

Pleasantly surprised. Drove past it tons of times but didn't actually realize it was here. It's located in a small strip mall on the side next to the barbershop. There's a good selection of flavors that you can combine and the option of creamy and brewed tea. Definitely going to come back again to try something else. read more

I have been here few times for waffles and shaved ices. I tried Mango shaved ice, red bean shaved ice, jam&cream waffle, and 3 scoop waffle and everything was PERFECT. This place is definitely my favorite bubble tea place to go to whenever I get the chance. What I really like most about Cafe Zio besides the bubble tea is the staff. They are one of the most friendly and kind hearted people I ever met and if you stop by Cafe Zio enough times you will definitely see it for yourself. It is a very niche place that I used to stop by during my time on campus and hang out with friends there when I got the chance pre covid and the environment always felt cozy, whether you are trying to just hang out and catch up with friends or find a place to study. This is my first time writing a review so I apologize in advance for the poor grammar and overall review but Cafe Zio is definitely worth the visit, especially when things go back to normal and they let you sit in :) read more

I absolutely LOVE this cafe. The couple that own it are so sweet and personable. They work fast and make sure you're getting exactly what you want. I haven't had a drink here that I didn't like! They're coffee drinks, bubble teas and smoothies are amazing and very fairly priced. And their street waffles are on point! The shop is tight, but its light and clean. Recently opened about 2 months ago, so it's fairly quiet. Decor is bright, clean and cute with seats right next to the window if that's your cup of tea. It's got a good selection of coffee (including Affogato which I need to try next time), smoothies and bubble tea. The waffles are well done. Lightly crisp on the outside while maintaining fluffiness on the inside. I got the apple jam waffle and it comes with cinnamon sugar and vanilla ice cream. This is a small store with brewed bubble tea that actually tastes delicious! None of that artificially sweetened taste. I got their green tea with guava flavoring and pineapple jellies and boba. I was not disappointed at all. The light ice was perfect and in terms of sugar, I told her to just put a medium amount so that it wasn't too sweet, but still a little sweet. It came out perfect. There are four tables, two smaller ones for two people and then two larger ones. There was a steady stream of people coming in during our visit. Clean place, would return! Dalgona coffee was good but the toffee did not taste good. Will get it again without toffee next time. Quality of the products is great. They have a big menu and the service is good. Worth giving a shot and they have lots of customers too. Good place read more
