Found this new spot in ktown in the MaDang Plaza and it's such a hidden gem! The cafe is pretty well hidden by the left side of the stairs when you enter the plaza but inside is a nice bright cafe vibe where you'll find others hanging out or on their devices. The cafe is not too small but not too big either. I'd say it's the perfect spot to just hangout. Unfortunately though, my wife and I weren't able to try out the food as we weren't hungry, just thirsty. We ordered the Yuzu ade which was brought out to our table quickly and is very well made. Although a simple recipe, it was very refreshing and easy to drink. Highly recommend. Looking at their menu, this is a great spot for brunch, their foods and drinks are pretty social media worthy which makes me excited to visit again later on. Hidden gem in ktown! I've been here for brunch & the weekend night happy hour and both were such a fun time. I loved their noodle salad & my friends really liked the fried rice. I love the cute outdoor patio vibe & how lowkey and intimate it is at night. Idk how they don't have more customers on weekend nights because they have happy hour drinks for $10, which is insane for LA. I loved this place so much I brought fiancé here to show him how great the happy hour menu is. We got a strawberry matcha, caramel and vanilla latte. We also got a house omelette, Belgian waffle and a bagel. Tbh i don't recommend coming back, the overall total we paid was 83 and the food wasn't great. The omelette was very under seasoned, and the Belgium waffle was doughy. I also don't recommend their strawberry matcha because it tasted like pure strawberry milk and no matcha. The lattes were imo the only redeeming part. The ambience and service were a 4/5. The other thing that was a bit shocking to me was when they asked to hold our credit card when we sat outside. We obviously gave our credit card to them but it was a bit off putting imo. I didn't see the server ask anyone else for their credit cards or I didn't see but it was very off-putting. Besides this, I would only recommend the latte and the bagel. read more

The interior immediately reminded me of Southeast Asian cafés with Korean influence; warm lighting, clean design, and bossa nova playing softly in the background. It's a great place to sit and chill; but if you're planning on staying a while with your laptop, just know they only have two outlets. I would imagine during finals week, this place gets packed and outlet access becomes almost impossible. Big shoutout to Sham; he answered the phone when we called ahead, and gave us standout service the entire visit. He knew the menu inside and out; gave really thoughtful recommendations with flavor notes and textures and even offered to validate our parking. You can tell he takes pride in the place and genuinely wants people to enjoy it, huge props to him. We tried the banana cream latte, which Sham said was one of their most popular. It lived up to the hype. First sip hits you with that classic banana flavor, almost like a candy note; but then the coffee comes through smoothly. The balance holds strong even after multiple sips; really flavorful and surprisingly well-crafted. We also got the hazelnut mocha cake, which comes as two mini slices. It was solid overall; moist and rich with a nice chocolate base; but the texture of the frosting felt more on the packaged side, and the mocha flavor was subtle. Not bad; just not as memorable as the drink. Parking's tricky, as usual in Ktown. You might be able to park in the H Mart side lot and get it validated; but it's still unclear if that's actually allowed. Just something to be aware of. Overall, Café Terrasse is worth checking out; especially for the drinks, atmosphere, and standout staff. Just maybe not the best choice if you're looking to camp out with a charger. read more

This space is super cute and they have a great patio that is pet friendly. The service was friendly and prompt, but again it wasn't too busy at the time. The server also provided additional details, suggestions, and recommendations for coffee and food options. We ended up trying the banana cafe latte which was really tasty with subtle banana flavor, and not too sweet. It's located in the Madang Courtyard at a corner location, and there are other shops nearby. It's in a generally safe area, and there is security in the plaza. Additionally, there is ample indoor and outdoor seating. The workers were very nice. This is a good study spot, but there are not many outlets and more outside seating than inside seating. Parking is easy inside the garage and also validated for 2 hours at this store or any other store. Overall: When I'm shopping in the area and want a convenient drink, I would visit this shop to pick something up. They also have lots of food options, but I wasn't able to try any today. The drinks were good, but they didn't stand out to my friend or me compared to other places we've tried. The food was great. Coffee made well. Service should've been better. When I arrived with my friend we were told to order inside from a server who was clearly taking a tables order on the patio. When we went inside they told us we could sit outside then order. We were not offered waters even though it is in high 80s today. After ordering I had to go inside multiple times for straws napkins and condiments after a barista told me he would bring them over. I understand he forgot but the other sever woman inside saw me from the window and did not come to check on the table. Only after I came in did they assist me. Brian helped me out this am. He's a ball of sunshine in all the best ways. He smiles attentively and with ease. He comes with recommendations along with detailed reasoning. He had rec's for both food and drinks. On a personal note, I typically need that and it goes a long way during the experience. I went with a Vienna latte per his personal fave and it did not disappoint. He was sure to affirm if I enjoyed sweet drinks prior to his suggestion. The Vienna is on the sweeter side, but it isn't to the point of overpowering. I opted for the banh mi and lemme tell you. I knew I wasn't going to be getting a traditional version considering the ingredients creating more of a fusion situation, but damn. It didn't skip a beat. The hint of heat came thru with the jalapeño in all the right ways. The diakon was julienned with the carrots *chefs kiss*. The shoyu tamago (egg) was a nice touch offering layered flavors for a standout sandwich. My only issue if that's what you even wanna call it, was with the bread for the banh mi. It kinda fell apart and wasn't giving that crispy crunchy vibe. It only became noticeable when I found myself eating a deconstructed sammie, but it tasted just as good going down as it did together. So, there's that. Holiday music played overhead. The subtle poinsettia and Christmas tree decked out along with Frosty was a nice touch offering a delightful holiday feel. Placed in the southeast corner facing Western, CT is kinda sorta in the cut considering where parking lets you out. I frequent this plaza and always fell short of noticing this spot til I pulled up my bookmarks. I'm glad I finally made my way here! I anticipate returning to try out more items. The kimchi fried rice and specialty coffees are already calling my name. Street parking is available one street west opposite on the other end of the plaza (be sure to double check the signs.) along with garage parking. There's patio and indoor seating where I'd imagine on a sunny day, it's perfection. Heat lamps also hang accordingly for those chilly days.
