Had Dr appt in west Edmond (we live in Tulsa). Found cafe sol on yelp and decided to try it. We were not disappointed. I got fish tacos and my husband got the street tacos with beef. It was very clean in the restaurant. The bathrooms were very clean. Our food was good and we would go back the next time we're in town. read more

I wanted to try this restaurant but have not had a chance until today. Went there for lunch ( I was alone) and had the beef street tacos and they were fantastic! Wanted my wife to try it so I brought her back to try the food for dinner. She ordered the Carna Asada and I had the chicken enchiladas, both were very very good. Attended a private party at Cafe Sol and was very impressed! I ordered the fish tacos and a side order of guacamole. Both were excellent! The fish was crunchy, but not too much breading, and with the feta cheese and other condiments, the flavor and texture was perfect for a hot summer's day meal. There were only either 3 or 4 people working, but the service was excellent and all the party was served quickly and cheerfully. Also, the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend Cafe Sol and look forward to returning there for another meal, hopefully soon! read more

We went one evening after work, probably a week after they opened. The owners are so night and helpful. We ordered nachos to share among us for something light. They were perfect and fresh with the lettuce added to it. Very refreshing rather than the usual heavy nachos baked with a heavy layer of cheddar cheese, although those have their moment. My husband and I were looking for a place for a quick date night and came across Cafe Sol. We prefer to support local, family owed establishments. The dining room is clean and inviting. We were greeted upon entering and the staff was friendly and accommodating. My husband had a peach/pineapple margarita that was so refreshing and I had an unsweetened tea. We started with a shrimp cocktail which was delicious and large enough to share. He had the enchiladas and I had the chicken platter. The plating was beautiful and the food was amazing with large portions. We took half our meals to go and shared a piece of tres leches cake that was the best I've ever had. Fantastic food and incredibly friendly staff. We've been twice this week. As someone who grew up eating New Mexican food, I appreciate the flavors and spice! It's our new favorite Mexican restaurant! My husband has tried the street tacos (Carne Asada) and also the Birria tacos. I've had the enchiladas and highly recommend them with green chile pork and chicken. The queso is yummy with just a touch of spice. And then there's the sauces they bring out to try with your food; The creamy jalapeño is AMAZING.
