Cafe Sasso = Yass Queen. This is a favorite spot for me and my coworkers when we need to get out of the office and into a space where we can think creatively. The different setting motivates us, as do their delicious coffee and tea specialties of all varieties. We are especially known for getting dirty chais, iced mochas, and uniquely seasoned lattes (white chocolate, floral, plus all the regular flavors, they have it all!). We'll also often stop by in the afternoon for a pick-me-up, even if we can't stay in the cafe, which has comfortable seating and a great, artsy ambiance. Great place! I find myself coming back here again and again. Perfect for people watching or just to feel inspired while you caffeinate. Drinks are always delicious and perfectly balanced and the baristas are genuinely friendly and accommodating. Met my friend here to catch up, it is a great place to grab a casual meal and coffee. Love the location, Park ave is always great to eat then walk - especially if you have/love dogs. Really cozy atmosphere, we were there about 6-7pm on a Wednesday and it was not too crowded (was filling up the later it got). A bunch of people with laptops open, working away. Staff was very friendly. Very good selection of sandwiches and salad. Club panini was good, balsamic dressing is a must - even if you don't get the side salad, get the balsamic dressing to dip your sandwich in it! We didn't get dessert, but those looked pretty damn yummy too. Same for the cocktails... if I hand't been driving, would've loved to sample an adult beverage. read more

What a chill spot in Rochester. It had good vibes. I think the coffees are a little too pricey for the size they give you but I get it. That's their gimmick. Just didn't care for the fancy stuff. My bf has a regular black coffee and a chocolate chip cookie! I had the iced mocha caramel drink. It was a pretty mediocre drink but the regular black was tasty! The chocolate chip cookie tho... it was great. It was $2 but worth it. It had chocolate chunks and it was a pretty big cookie. They also have a list of food menu that you could check out. They had free water. I love coffee shops that provide dispensers. They have a cocoa tail menu if you want to grab alcohol instead. In general I would come back and hang out here again. My first thought when I walked into Cafe Sasso...WOW!!! I LOVE the decor of this quaint little coffee shop. What's better is the baked good selection and drink menu. I've never had such a difficult time picking something to drink...everything sounded delicious! I finally decided on an Iced Peace Train and was very happy with my decision. I'm not sure I'll order something else next time because I'm officially hooked. The parking situation isn't the greatest but it's a beautiful neighborhood so enjoy the walk. Café Sasso was recently purchased and changed over, it was the Park Ave. Boulder Coffee a few weeks ago. I didn't even noticed that it had changed until I asked where the sweets in the case came from. The barista said that they were all made by Javas Bake Shop and I was like...whaaa? I thought Boulder and Javas were competition. Well, I guess I must have just totally missed the sign on the door. The inside doesn't look different, nor do most of the drinks. Happy hour features half off cocktails, and they carry a pretty good selection of bottled beers ranging from 2-5 dollars. I had my Guatemalan Blend (medium roast) outside. A lot of the tables were wobbly, so caution to that* All in all, I would go back to do work. read more

I just stopped in here for the first time as I had some time to kill before my hair appointment. The atmosphere is great and the menu was extensive with some really unique drinks I would like to try! They seem to take the art of coffee and tea very seriously with the methods they use. The atmosphere was also nice with a lot of art on the walls! Boy was I pleasantly surprised. I was unaware that they serve a variety of cocktails hot and cold. I had North Meets South which consisted of bulleit bourbon,spiced maple, espresso, coffee, whip and cinnamon. This was a piece of heaven to my lips. I also got a Ginger Oatmeal cookie from the Red Fern and it was SO good - I planned on sharing and then ate the whole thing myself. Cafe Sasso is kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but I'm glad my husband and I decided to try it for brunch on Labor Day, because it's much better than a lot of the other restaurants we've tried on Park Ave. I had the Zesty Zappa sandwich on multi-grain toast (they were out of bagels, unfortunately) and a fresh Mimosa. Both were excellent! My husband had the Jefferson Airplane sandwich on ciabatta and a Mango Smoothy. The sandwich looked kind of small but he seemed to like it. The only downside was that it was a long wait for our food, but that's probably because it was a holiday and a lot of other places were closed. This place is a mix between Javas and Leaf & Bean so of course I'm all about it! The main thing that keeps me coming back is the atmosphere and the employees (but honestly the employees set the tone of the environment!) All are kind, personable and looking to give you the best experience. My favorite drinks to order: MATCHA LATTE! This is by far the greatest green tea latte you'll ever have- tip: ask for a shot of vanilla, it gives it just the right amount of sweetness with still tasting the actual matcha. Chai tea (Americanized version of Chai, more like a chai latte) They get their chai and coffee from the same places Leaf does- Finger Lakes and Big Train. I do wish for more places to sit however and more spread out. read more

Before the pandemic, we used to go here multiple times a week for a place to read articles and write papers (perfect place for that).
