4 stars for quality food truck fare prepared fresh to order! My family and I got Fish n' Chips from this food truck while attending the Scottish Highland Games in Winter Springs. The lines weren't that long, but the food did take a decent amount of time to make. However, they make everything fresh to order, so this should be expected. The fish and chips were really tasty. They were made with cod and weren't overly breaded. The fries were also good. The food options at the truck were really creative. It seems like they put a lot of thought into the menu options. Options ranged from fish and chips to sushi-grade tuna and Canadian poutine fries. The prices were a tad bit higher than many food trucks. However, I think the quality of their food is higher than a standard food truck, so it evens out. Overall, this was a great food truck experience and I encourage you to give them a try.

The Café Rouge food truck at Tasty Tuesdays in The Milk District on June 26, 2012.

While at Milk Bar/Tasty Tuesdays last night, I tried a piece of this truck's escargot. It was my first time eating escargot, so I have no other escargot to compare this to, but what I had last night was really, really good. I at first was apprehensive to try it since I was told, before eating it, that it was a little mushroom-y ... but I tried it, anyway, and am glad that I did. I've heard that the truck's fish and chips are very good, though I've yet to try them. Last night's bite of escargot was the only thing I've ever tried from this truck ... which is strange, since I've seen this truck at least a half a dozen times. I ought to give it a chance the next time I see it. For now, this is all I have ... but I hope to try some more food from here soon and provide a proper review. Until then, I recommend it - I checked out its menu and it looks like there's a lot of good stuff on it, and it seems that people enjoy going to it.

$10 crunchy, fresh fish and chips!!!

At DeLand on Saturday for fireworks, music, and food. Had the Haddock and fries and they definitely lived up to the best of Orlando title! The fish had the crispest crust, a very satisfying crunch. The fish was mild. Loved the vinegar, too. If you get a chance, check these guys out. Also, the order taker was hilarious! Very entertaining while waiting for hot, fresh, fish.

Ok I only ordered dessert from them and it was a beer battered deep fried cheesecake and it was pretty freaking awesome!! I can not comment on the rest of the food but if it's anything like their desserts I think I'm going to like them. I will try some of their food and reevaluate :)

Chipotle rubbed roasted pork with Texas BBQ? Sure why not :D
    Mike C.

The chipotle rubbed pork in Home made Texas BBQ sauce was ON POINT. Plenty of meat and if you want sauteed onions u can get that too. The BBQ sauce was sweet and almost Smokey with just enough to make this treat delectable. Good eatin..

We sat on the beautiful wraparound porch. I was delighted that it was a gorgeous December day and enjoyed the warmth of that Florida sunshine. I did peak inside on my way to the spotless restrooms and made note that the interior dining area is stunning as well. I will always opt to sit outside but on a day when the weather is uncooperative I would be just as happy sitting inside this historical gem. I ended my meal with a chocolate croissant that I regrettably did not snap a picture of. That was the perfect ending to this unforgettable meal. I reserve my 5 star ratings for restaurants like this for a reason. So that the great restaurants can shine above the good. Can't wait to go back!

This is a neighborhood restaurant where everyone seemed to know the staff and they knew everyone. It was so comfortable and friendly. The food was fantastic. French onion soup that was lighter in flavor than some others, but still so delicious and enjoyable. I liked the wine that was in there. We both got filets. She had a butter herb sauce and I got the pepper sauce. Both were great. Had the potatoes au gratin and the flavor was so clean and silky. Just before we left a large group came in saying they had made a reservation (they certainly hadn't) and completely ruined the nice, calm and comfortable vibe. They were loud and acted like entitled jerks. Even those morons couldn't ruin a great dinner, but we just paid our bill and left. Definitely give this place a try, it's a hidden gem with amazing food and a nice cozy atmosphere.

Parking is available on the side of the restaurant, although the 1 available spot had an employee squatting down cutting rosemary from a bush. We waited several minutes to give the employee time to finish, but he never acknowledged us or offered to move for a moment. Eventually parked elsewhere, but was a bit concerned about the rosemary that might b in r dish. Love they grow their own herbs, but this rosemary is next to all the car exhaust and where someone might dump their leftover drink or let their dog go potty. Eek. A raised planter or gated area for herbs would b better. Inside, decor is ok but could use some elevating to make it more inviting and upscale. Loved the live music - had a duo playing jazz. There's also a bar available if u prefer that to table dining as well a an outdoor patio. We chose inside seating at a table. It's sort of set-up like an old house so we were in the back room with maybe 4 other tables. Server was not very personable, but fine. Ordered Caesar salad, duck risotto, rack of lamb and souffle. All was okay, not great but not bad. Appreciated that the meats were not gamey so seemed of good quality. Cook was as requested. Presentation was nice. Flavor was lacking on both meats as well as the risotto and couscous. Caesar was very basic and average but appreciated lettuce was fresh. All food was delivered surprisingly quickly. Indicated r interest in souffle when ordering and was initially told it would b blueberry caramel. He then returned to tell us that's incorrect - it's strawberry pineapple. However, the server never put in the souffle order so we ordered the strawberry pineapple souffle after finishing r meals (and sitting with empty dishes in front of us for awhile) while people kept walking past us. Not a problem. It arrived and wasn't actually the correct flavor. We weren't picky so we ate it but he never addressed it, apologized, asked if that was okay. It was just a bit odd. Again, everything was fine, but we won't b returning.

While they didn't receive the same level of viral eats that some other places have in Orlando, it absolutely should be in the spotlight. Having only been in Orlando for a short time, they have already won so many awards and received news recognition. The minute I walked in, the staff was very quick to attend to us and tell us about their pastry case and about the chef. He hails from Paris, France and trained under a French chef since he was 16. According to the bakery staff anyway It's very cutely decorated and there is nice instrumental music that plays through the whole bakery. They have tables for you to sit-down and order breakfast as well. So if you want to grab and go, you can. However, if you're there to enjoy and laze around with food, you can do that too. We ordered a classic French baguette, spiral laminated pastry with raspberry and pistachio, spiral laminated pastry with pineapple, a nordic quiche, and a latte. The staff was super sweet and nice and everything came out very quickly. They even offered to wrap the baguette and hold it for me until we left since I wanted to take it to go. The pastries were absolutely delicious. Very flaky, crispy, and buttery bread that pairs really nicely with the raspberry and the pistachio. I would rate it a 10/10. I think it was that good. Like hands down. The nordic quiche was also excellent and is a quiche with cheese and smoked salmon and comes with a side salad and balsamic vinegar. The nordic quiche was a 9.5/10. The latte was a 7/10. Now, the baguette. They had two different ones, one that Americans are more familiar with and one that is a classic French one. The classic French one was more crispy but softer interior. I had ordered it to go and it was a long baguette that only cost $3. I literally ate the whole thing before my day was over. Didn't even make it that long. I think we paid about $30, without tip. It was most definitely worth it. My overall rating is a 9/10 and I loved it. I can't wait to come back. I highly recommend it to everyone.

From the moment we walked in and were personally greeted by the hostess who confirmed our special occasion celebration and food allergies, the service was impeccable. The entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and truly enhanced our experience. They expertly described each course, including how to eat it, and were patient with our questions. We made a last minute early dinner week night reservation (you have to prepay for your meal including a 20% service fee) and were one of two couples for the majority of our three-hour 9+ course plus wine pairing experience. The restaurant itself is in the heart of Baldwin and the decor is modern, intimate, and clean. We began the meal with a special complimentary cocktail at the bar and then were seated in a huge, plush booth complete with pillows. The food was coursed at a great pace and it was nice to be able to watch the chefs plate the dishes. The music was of a wide variety and a perfect volume. The portions are small but packed with flavor and beautifully designed. There were minimal substitutions made due to my crustacean allergy and the Vietnamese dishes were all divine. I especially loved the main course with wagyu tartar, a donut, and broth that had been made over the course of several days and I will probably dream about for awhile. My other favorites were the foie gras appetizer and sweet yet savory cheese and strawberry dessert. We even received what I believe was a bonus almond and passion fruit dessert due to our celebration which was an awesome surprise. Throughout our meal we were served food and drinks by the same hostess who initially greeted us, the two chefs preparing the main courses, and the pastry chef. They were all equally wonderful to converse with and seemed genuinely happy to be there. While serving a dessert course, my dish tipped over right before the party chef set it down and he quickly went back and brought a fresh one to ensure my experience was nothing short of excellent. We were also provided warm hand towels for every dish with a hand component. Upon paying for our wine pairing and caviar and black truffle enhancements (which were originally presented to us in a special box), we were gifted personalized envelopes with a wax seal of the restaurant's signature logo enclosed with that evenings menu and a bottle of tea to go. Despite a 20% included gratuity, we appreciated the impeccable service and were genuinely thrilled to add additional tip. It was an incredible experience and I look forward to returning next quarter when they update 90% of their menu.
