They convert a simple trailer to a themed truck with siding to hide the wheels, tables for condiments, bayou decor and music. They were the only food truck to think ahead and provide a canopy for their patrons on this rainy evening. For $7 I got a shrimp po'boy which came piled high with nicely seasoned shrimp and a soft hoagie roll. The po'boy was super messy with a delicious sauce (not too spicy), lettuce and tomato. Everything tasted very fresh. I was pleasantly surprised when a side of red beans and rice came with. The red beans and rice were excellent as well. It was a hearty side but not too heavy for a June night. There were big chunks of sausage in the sauce too- a meal unto itself. I always feel like I overpay for a food truck meal but at Blue Bayou the pricing is right. The employees were very friendly, staffed well so the wait wasn't bad and they were one of the first trucks open. I will definitely eat at this truck when I see them again.

Not sure what the real name is but we will be going back and will try to re-post the name WOW! ....What a delicious & wonderful surprise! Fresh, and made to order,.... Tacos (chicken, chorizo or steak), Pupusas (cheese stuffed corn tortillas) and Pinchos (seasoned beef on a stick)... We had one of each of the tacos just to try them all and we loved the chicken the best. The green sauce is nice and hot, (jalapenos boiled to make a sauce), as the customers came and left the chef had to refill the squeeze bottle several times! The two ladies, (pictured) ordered the Pupusas and the chef handmade the patties right then and there, hows that for freshness?? The chef spoke very little English...but was it wasn't a challenge in ordering Lots of local customers stood in line to order and then waited while their hot food was prepared, (always a good sign), don't expect fast service, this is Latino slow food at its best and worth the wait. We ordered the chicken tamales to take home for dinner and they did not disappoint. Tamales were filled with chicken. olives, chick peas and yucca or potato. We managed to remember the green sauce and doused our tamale with it..YUM YUM! I found that some people are not comfortable with Food Truck dining...all I have to say is I have found some of my best meals on food trucks...especially on the streets of Mexico and Guatemala! They had a grand opening about a month ago and they served the most delicious Mexican beer outside with tomato juice and hot sauce. So now I'm back to try the food. I ordered a chicken taco and a shredded beef burrito. The chicken taco comes on a small corn wrap with just the meat and a few chopped onions. $2. The burrito was delicious with yellow rice shredded beef onions tomatoes and I think some kind of dressing. $7. They also have a little bar that has chopped tomatoes and chopped onions but be careful one of them is really hot. They also have a couple of sauces to choose from. I tried the red one and it about blew my tongue off!!. The only reason why I didn't give them five stars as I would definitely label the red sauce as real Hot!!. The prices are very good here I would definitely return. They have inside and outside seating. The place looks really clean and staff was very very friendly.

It was the perfect day to feel the Sun on your face and try local favorites. The event is well organized with trucks posted in advance. You can also purchase your food Passport in advance online so you don't have to risk them selling out. Parking is free and all within walking distance of the event. They also make sure to block all a road entrances so it feels very safe. I stopped at The Tea Lizard, Cafe Rouge, Chonky's Kitchen, Steak Shack, Beezer Eats, Parlor Kitchen! Pro tip: 1. Look for a small tent/bar outside the main West End bar location. This is where you pick up your passport and tickets. It took me a minute to find it but the staff inside the main bar directed me 2. Arrive between 1pm-3pm to have plenty of time to scope out the scene and try as much as possible. You don't want to be in a time crunch with over 40 trucks to try.

I was looking for some food in my area recently and came across their restaurant. I love Puerto Rican cuisine so I decided to give them a try. I ordered grilled chicken with rice, beans and plantains. Upon walking in immediately you see this is more so a takeout place opposed to somewhere in which you'd sit down and eat. It's very quaint inside with maybe 2 or 3 chairs to eat in if you wanted to. As for the food, the chicken was cooked perfectly, the juiciness was very present and seasoned well. The rice and beans were very good, rice flavorful and fluffy and the black beans paired very well with them. The service from them was also top notch, very warm and friendly and welcoming. The bottom line, this is a small restaurant specializing in authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, good food, good service and well worth it.

Great menu, obviously very focused. I had the Avocado Tower - avocado, spicy tuna and krab salad finished with torched spicy mayo, sriracha, eel sauce, scallions and tempura crunch. I would probably ask them to kill the "krab" part of this dish next time, but that's just me. More people probably bring their beer from Celery City out into the beer garden to enjoy the food (and entertainment) but being there at an off hour I did the opposite and ate at the bar. Either way obviously works. Though getting a pager to wait for my food to appear on the little counter outside was humorous. There was a grand total of no one else waiting while I was out there!

He really enjoyed his and was happy. It wasn't greasy despite being pepperoni. Mine was also delicious, but definitely more difficult to eat. However, absolutely worth the effort. Outside seating area is delightful. Inside was nice and very comfortable. Staff was exceptionally friendly. Will definitely be returning.
