This new restaurant is right by my house I can literally walk to it…read more But I drove the car. They had a grand opening about a month ago and they served the most delicious Mexican beer outside with tomato juice and hot sauce. So now I'm back to try the food. I ordered a chicken taco and a shredded beef burrito. The chicken taco comes on a small corn wrap with just the meat and a few chopped onions. $2. The burrito was delicious with yellow rice shredded beef onions tomatoes and I think some kind of dressing. $7. They also have a little bar that has chopped tomatoes and chopped onions but be careful one of them is really hot. They also have a couple of sauces to choose from. I tried the red one and it about blew my tongue off!!. The only reason why I didn't give them five stars as I would definitely label the red sauce as real Hot!!. The prices are very good here I would definitely return. They have inside and outside seating. The place looks really clean and staff was very very friendly.

Pepsi fountain machine for those that care. Now the food. Ordered a taco, sopas, burrito, gordita and a torta. All chicken though they offer chicken, port, steak, beef, tongue, shrimps and so much more. Feel like I will have to come weekly for a year just to try it all. FYI Tuesday lunch is Taco's for $1.50 each! Everything was hot and fresh, made to order. Left full and satisfied.

I got the fish tacos that came out hot and delicious. Scott got the fajitas with chicken steak and shrimp out of all the fajitas I've never seen one come with a big piece of cooked cactus on top. It was so good! We went here on a Saturday evening and it was not busy at all which is not a good thing It did have live music and we enjoyed listening to and play all sorts of unique music on his acoustic guitar. I think this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant I definitely will be back!

We have been meaning to dine in at Alebrije for a while now and finally decided tonight (Saturday…read morenight) would be the night. It's been a long crazy week going back and forth to concerts and Bike Week, we just wanted to eat out somewhere close to home then come home to rest. We arrived around 7:15pm and were promptly greeted and seated. The restaurant is full of vibrant colors and overall is very beautiful inside. They have a really nice bar in the middle of the restaurant and a small stage for live music. Fortunately for us, tonight was Saturday and they have live music on Saturdays. The musician that was playing tonight was Alejandro de la Fuente. He was an amazing guitarist and kept us entertained the duration of our meal. Our server, Semardis, was friendly and attentive; she took great care of us during our visit. I like that she brought over a carafe of water for us so we could keep our drinks topped off as needed. We decided on the Fajita Ranchera ($23) and the Baja Fish Taco's ($18) for dinner. Our meals were out fast, literally at 7:34pm, which is crazy fast. Our food was very fresh and hot. I loved that the Fajitas come with sausage and cactus, I usually only see cactus served with the Molcajete but I'm glad it came with our fajitas because it was freshly grilled, juicy, and delicious. Nancy really enjoyed her Fish Tacos too; they were freshly fried and crispy. Even with the coleslaw and dressing mixed in, the taco was not cold, which is great. Note that they have put a note on the door stating that they will be charging for refills on chips and salsa. We asked for a refill on the salsa only but were not charged extra for it. Maybe the statement is for customers that are not buying meals, who knows, but times are tough and don't mind paying as long as it's not exorbitant. I really wish business was busier for this restaurant. There were only two other couples in the restaurant when we arrived and when we were leaving there was two four tops, which has got to hit-hard on a Saturday evening when this place should be slammed. They did a great job with the service, food, and entertainment, I would like to see business pick up. Staff does a great job keeping tables and the dining room clean however the restrooms could use a good deep cleaning and there was a slight sewer smell near the restrooms, which could be off-putting for most. Pricing is comparable to other Mexican restaurants in the area and they offer great appetizer discounts on Wednesdays, so keep that in mind if you want to save. All-in-all, we had a wonderful dinner here and experience tonight. Good job Alebrije Mexican Grill & Tequila Bar, we will be back!

Not sure what the real name is but we will be going back and will try to re-post the name WOW! ....What a delicious & wonderful surprise! Fresh, and made to order,.... Tacos (chicken, chorizo or steak), Pupusas (cheese stuffed corn tortillas) and Pinchos (seasoned beef on a stick)... We had one of each of the tacos just to try them all and we loved the chicken the best. The green sauce is nice and hot, (jalapenos boiled to make a sauce), as the customers came and left the chef had to refill the squeeze bottle several times! The two ladies, (pictured) ordered the Pupusas and the chef handmade the patties right then and there, hows that for freshness?? The chef spoke very little English...but was it wasn't a challenge in ordering Lots of local customers stood in line to order and then waited while their hot food was prepared, (always a good sign), don't expect fast service, this is Latino slow food at its best and worth the wait. We ordered the chicken tamales to take home for dinner and they did not disappoint. Tamales were filled with chicken. olives, chick peas and yucca or potato. We managed to remember the green sauce and doused our tamale with it..YUM YUM! I found that some people are not comfortable with Food Truck dining...all I have to say is I have found some of my best meals on food trucks...especially on the streets of Mexico and Guatemala! We are posting pictures of the truck, menu (six items), phone number and some of the offerings. Highly Reccomended*****Five Stars ***** We will be going back soon!

We ordered the Elotes off the cob ($11.99) and the Molcajete ($30) which is grilled fajita steak, chicken, chorizo, shrimp, onions, nopal cactus and cheese. We also ordered one Margarita ($16). We first experienced a Molcajete in a restaurant in Mazatlan, Mexico and fell in love with it and all of its ingredients including the cactus. This Molcajete at Cocina Maya was soooo tasty. Served in an actual Molcajete which is made from lava rock and it holds the heat very very well. We shared this between the two of us and still had a decent amount to bring home with us. The Elotes was very tasty and the corn was nice and firm and it was perfect. Service was friendly and attentive. The dining room is light in colors and there is a lot of light that shines through the windows. This restaurant is a good distance from our home, and well worth the drive to it. Thanks to ThinkAAboutItPodcast for featuring them on their page, I just had to stop by and support my local businesses! Before I went, I messaged them on Instagram for a specific beer my fiance and I have been searching for since our recent vacation in Ocala. Couldn't find it at Publix, Walmart or Winn Dixie. This craft beer was that hard to find. I sent them a message and the same day, they responded that it will be delivered tomorrow! Coming today, we stopped by and there is was - two fresh cases of the beers we've been longing for in Ocala. Waiting for us in the fridge. It's called Duke's Cold Nose Brown Ale. Best brown ale in Florida! On top of that, they let us try a bite of their famous chicken tikka masala sandwich. They weren't wrong - it had a kick but it was so yummy. Perfect portion of everything. Met the family and friends of the shop, Justin who helped us secure our ales and Neil who checked us out and made sure we got the beer we wanted. Justin is awesome! He said anytime we are looking for a beer, just send him a message and he'll try and get it. My fiance and I were speechless. This place is the spot. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu and just shop around for our new favorite craft beer! We are literally calling Justin, our JUST-IN case we can't find it, message Upsala Grocery Store and they'll get it!

The restaurant is decorated beautifully, the staff are super friendly, efficient, and everything was clean. The menu is presented via electronic tablet, which was a unique experience, but I can only imagine this is expensive for the business to maintain. Regardless, I prefer this versus large paper menus or scanning a QR code to look up the menu. I decided on the Carnitas Fajitas for lunch which came to $14. This is a bit expensive for lunch but I did order Fajitas, so that's my bad, lol! The dinner portion is $22.50 which actually is priced competitively to other restaurants in the area. They do offer more affordable lunch options, but I decided to splurge a little. Our food was out in about 15 minutes and my fajitas were sizzling hot just the way I like them. It was well worth the $14 and I was stuffed most of the day after devouring this plate along with all the chips, salsa, and queso. There were four of us in the party and everyone was happy with their meal. Great Job Zacapa Team, we will be back soon!
