This is what we look like waiting for a table for 30 minutes with a reservation.
Paula B.

We were really looking forward to lunch at Cafe Pasqual's, but unfortunately the experience got off to a frustrating start. We had a 1:00 reservation and weren't seated until 1:30. What made the 30-minute wait particularly hard to understand was that two parties of two who walked in shortly before we were finally seated were seated within about five minutes of us--at four-person tables. If tables could be turned over that quickly for walk-ins, it left us wondering why having a reservation resulted in a 30-minute wait. No explanation was offered. The food was mixed. The chile relleno was outstanding and easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the chicken enchilada and tostada on the Plato Primo were surprisingly bland. Restaurants run behind, and we understand that. But when guests with a reservation wait 30 minutes while newly arriving walk-ins are accommodated almost immediately afterward, something about the reservation process isn't working as it should.

Even though to get reservations we got in lunch 2pm, for 4 people and we got different things and drinks, there is one girl who has unique way to express menus that we like to get explained Even though we came back next morning to bfast the wait was 45 minutes so we packed out from our hotel before bfast Is not cheap guys so enjoy the experience

The food here is very good but quite the wait for brunch time on the weekend. We waited 1.5 hours for a table for 3. The tostada with arctic char was as beautiful as it was delicious and seemed one of the more fairly priced dishes for how much fish was there. The enchiladas were good as well. Food was served quickly once we ordered

First time visit to Santa Fe and first time visit to Cafe Pasqual's! We had reservations which seemed to be the way to go because it was pretty packed! The restaurant itself is very cute and cozy but it did feel a little cramped in some corners. As for the food, I have a gluten allergy and am pescatarian so I decided to get the enchilada with the chorizo tofu, without green chile because apparently it has gluten in it. I liked my food but that layer of cheese was THICK and it did overpower the rest of what was inside of the enchilada a bit. It wasn't the best enchilada that I've ever had but that's not to say that it wasn't still tasty! Overall, cute restaurant with decent food in a good location and friendly staff!

I came here for lunch after seeing the positive reviews. I ordered their burrito which was very tasty. The burrito had eggs, pork and hashed browns which was very flavorful and paired nicely with their salsa. I also got their hot latte, which was average. The coffee taste isn't as strong as I would have liked. This place can get quite busy, especially since it's a small restaurant. I made a reservation for a table which helped a bit with the wait. However, I noticed that you could get seated immediately if you sat in the communal table. The interior is very cutely decorated.

Came here for brunch on an early Saturday afternoon and it was packed. They quoted me a wait time of 40 min for a table of 2 but we only waited half the time. There is a small bar inside but no bar seating so you must wait outside. They text you once your table is ready so we had time to walk around nearby. The restaurant itself is charming and cozy. Service is swift and friendly. My husband I shared the chicken enchiladas with green sauce and the chorizo burrito with green chile sauce. Both were so fresh and delicious. I didn't taste a hint of oil or grease. The dishes tasted home made. The green chile sauce wasn't as spicy as I prefer but still had a little kick to it. Overall, it was a great meal and I would come back again next time I'm in town!

I have found a new favorite in Santa Fe in the most delicious and delightful Cafe Pasqual's. This place just screams Santa Fe with such fantastic food and beverages. I ordered the watermelon martini which was absolutely the most refreshing and smooth beverage. For lunch, I ordered the stacked enchiladas with added carne asada beef. The enchiladas alongside the black beans and cilantro lime rice were outstanding. My husband ordered a light and beautiful salad with chicken and our friend ordered the half blt sandwich with a delightful cold and fruity soup. It was amazing. The staff is stellar and the interiors are so fun and interesting. I would most definitely return to this fine restaurant.

The happiest, most perfect breakfast I had in Santa Fe. Service was incredibly friendly, especially one of the staff whose name I didn't get, but her energy was so sweet and she was just giving 110% of herself to everyone around her. Our server was also so friendly and helpful. Got the chorizo burrito Xmas style and a Mexican hot chocolate and shared the cornmeal pancakes with my family. Everything was delicious. The only thing I can say is you need to be patient because the restaurant is so crowded - for good reason - and even with a reservation we waited half an hour for a table (but luckily ended up with the best table in the place). Got myself an apron with the Guadalupe on it which I plan to use all the time. Definitely will be back next time I'm in town.

Welcoming, personable service and excellent food. Small, noisy, convivial, enjoyable and worth the wait to get in!

I love this place! This is only our second time. The first time was a few years ago and we had brunch. I remember being pleased with our experience so today when looking for somewhere to eat on Valentine's Day I lucked out and found a 5:30pm reservation as someone had cancelled! Woo hoo!!! The restaurant opens at 5:30pm so there was a line at the door and we all got seated quickly. I had a glass of Gruet Rose and my husband had a beer. I ordered the conchinita pibil and was not disappointed!! I made 2 little tacos with my corn tortillas, pork, veggies, crème fresh and habanero pickled red onions! So so good and I had leftovers! My husband got the special au poivre ribeye and ate every bite! For dessert I had the Meyer lemon cheesecake with coconut crust and my husband had the layered honey cake. Both were wonderful! I also had a cup of hot peppermint tea! We had a lovely waitress and the ambiance is eclectic and cozy as it's small and lovely. All the staff are so kind. This is a place I will always return to! Come check it out when you have time! Make a reservation!

Dessert menu

Adding more photos to my review.... Didn't realize all the descriptions were there without the dishes! So sorry about that! Oh, and here's the dessert menu that we couldn't enjoy (being stuffed like the chile relleno)!

Primo Plate and Barbacoa Eggs
V L.

At first, the restaurant may feel overcrowded and almost impossibly smaller, but after a while, you settle into the atmosphere. The service was attentive, warm, and friendly throughout our visit. We tried the Primo Plate and the barbacoa eggs. I would normally skip the tamal, but this one immediately became a favorite. The Yucatecan mole tamal was exceptionally moist, flavorful, and delicious. The chile relleno, clearly made from scratch, was superb and one of the highlights of the meal. Even the coffee was very good. Despite the tight space, the quality of the food and the welcoming service made the experience well worth it.

This is an excellent place to go and worth the weight to get in. Absolutely the best Chile Riano. I had the whole time I was in Santa Fe. I hope to go back when I visit again.

My wife did enjoy her Mimosa, so props to your drinks preparer!!

We were not able to score one of the coveted reservations for dinner, so we braved the walk-in queue in the courtyard, which actually moved quite fast -- with a wait time of about 45 minutes for a party of two on a weekday night. The menu features all the classic New Mexican flavors you'd expect, from enchiladas to burritos, and the kitchen is happily open to accommodating most dietary restrictions. At our server's recommendation, we split a bowl of the Vegetarian Posole ($9). While it was packed with corn, butternut squash, green chile, and garlic, we both agreed it didn't quite live up to the massive hype. On the other hand, the entrees completely redeemed it. I thoroughly enjoyed the Tamale Plate ($18.50) -- two tamales (your choice of red pork chili or green veggie chili -- I did one of each) served with beans, Spanish rice, and a side of red or green chile that packs the perfect punch. My dining companion loved the Fish Tacos ($17.25), which came loaded with sautéed cod, avocado, cabbage, and a beautifully citrus-forward pico de gallo. Both of us thought the portions were filling without leaving us feeling stuffed and the flavors were completely spot on. Overall, a great 4-star experience with wonderful flavors, great value, and solid service despite the chaotic dinner rush!

Would never come back again. ============= This review got flagged by Yelp HQ, let me rewrite this and be clear of what happened. I walked into El Callejon Taqueria and Grill, located on 208 Galisteo St Santa Fe, NM 87501 on Aug 22 2026. It was on a Saturday night, right before 9pm. This was my first weekend in the city of Santa Fe, on both Yelp and Google this location shows the restaurant closes at 11pm. When I walked in the bartender told me that it was closed. I wouldn't care that a business is closed before the listed hours; it was the way the bartender went about it. He could have politely told me that the kitchen was closed, and I would not have had any problem with it. He walked up to me within arm's length and continuously repeated "sorry we are closed" multiple times while getting closer to me. It was one of the worst experiences I have had to get escorted "asked" out of a restaurant. The experience was not good. To be clear I never get to try the food here.

We decided to try Paper Dosa based upon seeing glowing reviews online, but unfortunately this…read morerestaurant doesn't live up to the hype. Paper Dosa isn't a true South Indian restaurant, as they serve both North and South Indian-inspired food. Our comprehensive review is based upon our dining experience at the Indian restaurant.  We arrived 10 minutes after opening at 5:00 PM on Saturday evening and found there was already a 45-minute wait. Fair enough, it's a popular restaurant with the Santa Fe locals. This restaurant only allows reservations for parties of 5 or more.  After being seated first at a community table, we ordered food first and received both our starters and entrees at the table last. We ordered two starters, two entrees, and two drinks. Starters  Dahi Vadai and Paniyaram The Paniyaram were freshly made dumplings that were soft and fluffy. This dish receives a rating of 8/10. On the other hand, the Dahi Vadai tasted like it was frozen and poorly defrosted by the restaurant. The vadai was very dense, falling apart, and flavorless. Another issue with the dish was the yogurt overpowered both the tamarind and mint chutneys. The Dahi Vadai was a pretty-looking dish but poorly executed and flavorless. This dish receives a rating of 4/10. Entrees Paper Dosa and Classic Dosa The paper dosa tasted like the powdered dosa atta found in any Indian store; it was missing the flavor of freshly ground dosa atta that is typically used to make the crepe. The dosa was inconsistently cooked and lacked the characteristic golden-brown color. The sambar and chutneys tasted watered down with a lack of flavor--it was nothing special. The masala potato lacked flavor all together. The Classic Dosa was similar to the Paper Dosa, with the only difference being that the masala potato was served inside the dosa. Both dosas receive a rating of 5/10. Drinks Sittu Kurvi and Indian Chai Sittu Kurvi is a pineapple-based drink with a hint of red chile and rosemary twig. It was a tasty, balanced drink. The drink receives a rating of 8/10. Indian chai was hot but lacked the typical masala spice Indian tea is known for. The drink receives a rating of 6/10. Overall dining experience receives a rating of 4/10. For a restaurant that was recommended for a Michelin Star, these are some other issues we noticed during our dinner at Paper Dosa. The waiter couldn't pronounce the dish names nor knew the ingredients in some of the dishes, which indicates lack of proper training. Paper Dosa's restrooms were filthy with overflowing trash and lacked soap for hand washing, having only been opened less than two hours ago. Cleanliness seemed like it wasn't a priority for the restaurant nor the staff. I grew up in Kerala, South India, so I know about South Indian food. I've eaten at some excellent South Indian restaurants on both the United States East and West Coasts--they all have one thing in common: flavorful food just like we got in India. Paper Dosa could be so much better with properly seasoned food and fresh ingredients!
