I wrote this on my Facebook about my experience while traveling from California:…read more Today I was at a super cute café and ordered breakfast. After a couple of minutes, I went back up to the counter and asked if they had already started making it, because I wanted to change my order. The kitchen was open, so I said to the cook, "Don't worry about it if you've already started. I know my indecision can impact people, and I don't want to be a problem." He looked at me and said, "No, it's totally fine. Would you like some veggies on the side?" "Yes, that would be amazing," I said, and walked back to my table... and burst into tears. It wasn't just what he said. It was the kind energy in his eyes. I felt someone who took pride in what he was making, and who genuinely wanted people to be happy. I found myself asking, why am I crying? Because in a world where so many people in power feel disconnected, where corporations can make us feel like numbers, being genuinely cared for in a small café reminded me how much I love humans. Most people have love in their hearts and are trying to share it in their own small ways. As the world cracks, these simple things are more meaningful than ever.

They have so many menu options, breakfast, lunch and specials. The Whole Bird is an absolute MUST as well as the breakfast sandwich on the biscuit. Their freshly made bread is perfection. I had the grilled eggplant sandwich which was INCREDIBLE. The hummus was especially pleasing. I do always find the popcorn side a little odd, but there's nothing really wrong with it.

They've really kept a lot of the historical elements and pay homage to the postal service. I had a skinny hot latte, and a bagel sandwich for breakfast. I co-worked at a large table for hours, and finished with a chicken pesto sandwich. Both the bagael sandwich and the pesto were great! Nothing tasted microwaved. It was very gourmet. The staff is super friendly and its overall pretty quiet even when busy. I cant wait to go back.

The staff is very friendly, and offered recommendations from the menu since I was unsure about what to choose. There was a variety of seating, and even an extra room full of chairs and beautiful natural lighting, complete with a view of the Durham! The setting is beautiful, classy, and upscale while being the perfect location to work. The music is relaxing as well, and I would love to have future study sessions here. I ordered the Orange Spice Tea Latte, and it was absolutely delicious. I loved the zest the orange added, while being milky and having the perfect amount of spice. It was absolutely delicious, and I would return simply for this. I also tried the Chive Biscuit Sandwich, which was a bit dry but otherwise good. The parking situation was not the most ideal, but to be expected in this part of Omaha. I was able to locate a spot but it was a tight squeeze and across on the bridge, but I would come again.

The decor and ambiance are truly unmatched. It's such a fun, tropical escape right here in the Midwest. I honestly wish Omaha had more spots like this. I'd love to come back when they have live music and dancing because I can only imagine how fun the energy would be. Most of the table ordered the Despelote to share, and it was perfect for a group. So many meats and sides, and plenty to go around. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich for myself and was really happy with it. The flavors were spot on, and the fries were super crispy and fresh. My husband ordered the Jibarito sandwich with chicken and really enjoyed it. He doesn't usually go for fried plantains, but he was pleasantly surprised by how much he liked them in the sandwich. We'll definitely be back again soon!

I was greeted warmly and taken care of as a solo diner. The space is decorated beautifully, clean, with lots of color and representation. They start you off with complimentary toasted bread. I started with a chicken empanadilla which was juicy and sooo flavorful. It was hot and you could tell it was fresh out the frier. My entree was the Camarones Platos which did not disappoint. All the food items were full of flavor and really delicious. I had a great time here for lunch and highly recommend
