My daughter loves boba and has been looking for a place in Omaha or Lincoln to try onigiri, so we were so excited to try out thirst tea! I love that it's easy to get to with plenty of parking. There was lots of available tables and seating when we walked in at lunchtime. The drink menu is extensive and they had our favorites (taro milk tea with boba, and strawberry milky with boba). I really liked that there were two different sizes of boba - a lot of places only have one large size. For the onigiri we ordered the yoshi, spam, and shrimp tempura. My daughter liked the shrimp tempura the best, and I liked the spam. They come nicely wrapped up so they would be perfect to take in a lunchbox if you're not eating there. They also come with a side of sauce that is slightly spicy (it was too spicy for my daughter but I loved it). While we were there we also ordered some edamame and soft serve ice cream. The ice cream comes in a cup or cone and they have several toppings to choose from. My 4 year old got a taro and coconut swirl in a cup with Oreos and strawberry pocky. Sorry Thirst-Tea but I'm breaking up with you. It's totally you though and not me. Let me tell you why. I always order the same thing; Large M2 Taro, no sugar, extra taro powder. This drink, if made properly is delicious. IF being the keyword. This location can't seem to properly make it. Several times now I've gone back in to either have them remake it because they either add sugar when they're not supposed to, they don't add the extra taro, or they add so much ice you'd think you were getting Starbucks iced coffee (if you know, you know). This last time I visited was it for me though. Same order as usual, verified by the correct tag on the cup, but tasted watered down and WARM. Why? Well they had a bunch of taro premade in a shaker cup already. I watched the lady make this. She didn't add extra taro. I actually had my husband go back in and get a refund for me. Which was beyond difficult given the fact she never gave me a receipt. For $6.09 for a drink you need to do better. So IF I want a Thirst-Tea Taro Bubble Tea I'm just going to head over to the midtown location and pay the parking meter. They've never let me down. This is the second thirst tea location to open in Omaha (the first one is in Midtown Crossing). The location is right next to the Asian Market, which is both smart of them and convenient to all of us. With this addition and Meisu Cafe next door, I am hoping the whole area turns into a little Asiatown. Wouldn't that be so cool?? This Thirst Tea has easy and free parking, but weird that the different locations have different availability for the menu. This location has soft serve, but no traditional teas. Apparently Midtown has the opposite. I feel that if an item is not served at the location, it should not be on the menu. Also, with competitors yumchaa and kungfu tea within a 5-10 min drive, its tough to love them as much as I used to when they were the only option. I think in order for them to stay popular they should really consider adding "sugar customization" to their drinks. I'm still a fan, but I would like to see some improvements and growth for this awesome tea franchise. read more

Definitely our new favorite Boba place in town! We live in Elkhorn so we rarely make the drive East especially if it's just for drinks. After having Thirst Tea, we will definitely be making the drive to get the Boba here. Came in on a Saturday afternoon at 3 and even at that time there was a steady stream of traffic. They whip up Boba faster than any place we've previously been (in all fairness, only 3 other places). It's obvious they have a system and run like a well oiled machine. My girls got a mix of mango slushy bobas, dragon fruit tea boba, and I got the Tiger Milk boba. All the flavors were great, however, our unanimous favorite was the Tiger Milk Boba. I've had it in different places and states and it's honestly the right mix of sweet, flavor, and bubbles here. I think my girls wished they would've gotten the same thing :) Only drawback was the food came out significantly later than the bobas which is understandable, however, we didn't care for the chicken wings. Would've liked them MUCH crispier. Eggs rolls were fine too. I would say stick to the Boba if you come here. You can for sure expect me and my crew to be back! read more

Each of the options allows for some customization (if you prefer boba over jelly for example). I really like that the teas are vacuum sealed - a convenient grab and go option. It wasn't clear to me if the food listed on the menu was is being served at this location - the dining area had all the chairs stacked on tables and it was sectioned off. Also, there was a pile of upswept dirt left on the floor, which is less than appealing. I plan to come back in the future. read more

Yum! I got the passion fruit tea with popping mango boba! As well as the two egg rolls. My boba was done pronto, but my egg roll took quite a bit and without any dining room seating it felt longer than I expected. My egg rolls were alright, came out a little burnt as well- decided maybe egg rolls were not for me. I had a negative Nelly after me in the line who was rude to the staff- they all were so nice and helpful. Kudos to amazing customer service, great tea, might hold on the egg roll next time. After catching dinner nearby, I decided to have a dessert tea at this location. Thirst Tea Cafe does not allow for inside seating, you approach the front counter, look at the hot or cold drinks, and make your choice. I went with U8: Bruce Lee with lychee. It's dark with a passion fruit taste that allows smal pieces of lychee to float into your mouth and creates an enjoyable after meal liquid fruit that isn't overly sweet. I noticed snack food is available to order besides the drinks and ice cream. It's similar to the Kung Fu tea down 72nd and Pacific but more to offer in variety in my opinion. So excited that they finally opened..., been dying waiting for them to open since last year :D Love it too that I don't have to walk too much to get to them like at the Midtown location, which is really helpful in extreme weather conditions or when you have kids. They also have a graffiti art work on one of their walls which pretty cool (according to my son :)). Menu wise, they have all of the drinks and snacks that they serve in the Midtown location with additional soft serve ice cream which they don't have there. We tried the vanilla charcoal flavor with red velvet cone and we are not disappointed, it was gone within 5 minutes... However I must say $7.13 (after tax with $0.50 extra for additional topping) is kinda pricey for a dessert. They are definitely going to be my new go to location for sure as I know that they have good bubble teas and they close to my house too :). read more

I know it's important to start everyday with a cup of positivi-Tea...but ever since Kung-Fu Tea & Yumchaa popped up, I am not as thirsty for Thirst-Tea anymore... It's awesome that Thirst-Tea has got lot of variety of teas, bobas, and snacks; however, I wish the sugar level can be customized like its competitors. I also prefer my drinks to have a more bold tea flavor, and taste less artificial & less sugary, which Kung Fu Tea does well. A new great addition to this new second Thirst-Tea location is their Asian Style Soft Serve Ice Cream, which I have yet to try but super excited for! A friend and I recently went here after our visit to the mall, she has been to the Thirst Tea in midtown and was really excited one closer opened up! This was my first time trying boba tea. They have 2 sizes for their boba teas (regular and large) we both got a regular popping boba tea. (around $9ish) I enjoyed the tea very much, but i'm not so much a fan of the boba. ( mostly just a texture thing, that's just my palette) I want to try a milky boba I saw a couple and they looked gooddd. service was a bit slower but they had nice seats around the place to sit. They got it out within 4-7 minutes (I wasn't really timing) Very friendly staff. I recommend going here if you're around the area or want to try boba for the first time. Don't be fooled by the hours! I parked at this place at 8:30pm on a Thursday and saw a lady who works in the place. As I was getting out of my car, she comes to the door and makes sure it is locked. I am so confused so I go check the hours on the door and it says they close at 10pm!! She turns off the lights inside and makes eye contact with me as I stand infront of the cafe! It was so incredibly rude. I have not tried this place and will not return due to the poor customer service!!! Japanese inspired flavors like HONEYDEW. Not your standard flavors and only 5-6 to choose from. Mix of different teas. And flavor options. Just arrive with a open mind set.
