Had a nice breakfast here. Some good company and a big plate of well made biscuits and gravy is a good start to a busy day. They nailed it on my over medium eggs(for some it's so hard). We were very happy seeing crowds went back to the cafe the other day. The servers were very nice and working hard on the first day of reopening restaurant in full capacity without wearing mask restrictions.  I believed you have added menus which made me to pick something rather than my favorite hamburger.  I found the chicken steak was salty and recipe was not good enough,  the French toast was supposed to soft and moist with soaking eggs before pan shear, the sunnyside eggs didn't make right comparing to the Cracker Barrels. However, the tomatoes soup was quite original.  You might have changed food preparation cooks or whatever. I will go back and order the original hamburger and fish and chips later. ------ We went back to the Cafe and ordered Halibut with parmesan cheese and my favorite Murrayhill Burger with fries. The fish was too dried and not cheesy enough that tasted like parmesan at all. The burger was about right cook to the taste, however, the fries missing truffle oil and no flavor like before. read more

We got the Murrayhill Trio and the Butternut squash ravioli. Trio- tomato soup was delicious; you can really taste the citrus in here, but it's not over powering. It adds a great "what is that??"! Salad was tasty and the grilled cheese was done correctly. I would have made the soup smaller and had a full sandwich or larger salad. Was offered a taste of their seafood bisque as well which was quite delicious. Looked like there were clams, salmon, potatoes... that I could distinguish Butternut squash ravioli - very good, cooked al dente. Great flavor and had unique additions to it, like the candied hazelnuts and balsamic. Added great texture and flavor. I think it is overpriced by a few dollars a plate. They have unlimited mimosas for $12 every day, all day, good deal. Had a slight miscommunication, but the restaurant more than made up for it. I was surprised at their offer, because most restaurants are like sorry we screwed up, deal with it. But their service here was top notch and the staff was very friendly. Has a beautiful setting and ample outdoor space. If mgmt reads this, I would recommend cleaning and checking the windowsills more often for insect debris. All of the windowsills had dirt and dried insects that could be taken care of quickly, but the rest of the restaurant was clean. My husband and I thought we would try this place because of the beautiful outside eating area. We were disappointed when first, our check-in was lost. We waited and waited while other people without reservations were seated immediately. I had to finally ask why we were still waiting and were seated immediately. No big deal, things happen. Since Eggs Benedict is my primary food group, I search for food based on finding my favorite food, preferably available after traditional breakfast hours. I came here alone on a weekday after an appointment in Beaverton at about 11am. I was given the choice about where I wanted to sit and picked a big cozy booth looking out over a pond. I ordered coffee and my signature dish. Service was fast and pleasant. Breakfast was served with sliced sweet potatoes and sliced regular potatoes, which was surprising but fine. The hollandaise sauce was a bit thin & runny. The eggs were cooked correctly, and there was more ham than I would expect. Overall it was a nice dining experience and if I find myself in the area again I will not hesitate to return. read more

Went here for brunch this morning to celebrate my husband's birthday with the kids. I had the breakfast crossaint which was delicious and so were the mimosas. We took our Aunt here for her 90th birthday last night and everything was fabulous! The restaurant is well appointed and the outside seating is lovely by the lake. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. We had the fried mushrooms for appetizers, with seared salmon, beef stroganoff and prime rib dinners. We all raved about the food! We love this place. The food isn't the BEST thing ever but its the atmosphere and service that keeps us coming back. We have been for brunch several times and I try to switch it up with the food options. The MurrayHill Benedict is my fav. The pulled pork hash is good too. I eat here at least once or twice a month. Food is great. Service is sub-par. It's weird because there's a lot of people working, but no one ever comes and checks in on their tables. Their employees attention to detail is poor, servers can often be heard chatting it up, but your coffee hardly ever gets refilled (this visit they didn't even refill mine once in the 50 minutes I've been here), they didn't realize we were finished with our food and ready for our check for what felt like an eternity. I can only imagine leadership has created an environment that condones poor service, which is a shame. I always tip 20% on my meals, but I can't justify it here because it's like the patrons don't exist. The poor service starts from the minute you walk in when we have sometimes waited 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledges that we are there, waiting for a host/hostess. This is especially backward when there are people behind the bar (less than10 feet from the door) that almost feel like they are intentionally ignoring new guests. Even a simple "someone will be there in a minute" would suffice. Then, as above, the poor service just continues from there... read more

Family of four, both kids under 4. It was an early Sunday dinner, only outside seating, which is what we wanted. Not very busy. Hostess seated us right away and brought us menus and water. Then no one showed up; no drink or food orders. At least 4 servers walked by our table to help other tables. Table of four next to us was seated after us and got drinks right away. After talking to the manager they said we should bring the dogs inside. I have dined at Cafe Murrayhill many times and I have always enjoyed their food and service. However, today I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich using the Grubhub app and all I can really say is my experience was laughably bad. After the Grubhub driver called me multiple times because she was lost, I discovered my sandwich was not fully wrapped/contained and was basically in two separate pieces . To make matters worse, the fries were just thrown in the delivery box with no attempt to cover them to keep them warm. Lastly, I requested no avocado and there were four giant slices on the sandwich.....not that it mattered at this point. That said, the sandwich was basically strewn throughout the box, on top of the fries and I had to throw the entire meal away. Maybe Cafe Murrayhill's takeout game is poor...Maybe there was an intern working their first day on the job. Maybe they just don't care. I may go back to the restaurant but I will never again order takeout with Grubhub. read more

Approximately 30 min later, while having indepth private-intense conversation was the moment two different waite staff tell us..... "Due to Covid-19, we need to accommodate all the people in our community, so we need the table. You and your (80yr old mother) guest will need to leave now. I came here around 10 o'clock on a Saturday and it was pretty busy but we got seated immediately. The waitress was very helpful in telling us what was good on the menu. Our drinks and food were served to us almost instantly. I got the French toast with a side of potatoes for around 15 dollars. The French toast was crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. The potatoes were crunchy with the right amount of seasoning. My boyfriend got the sausage breakfast burrito that came with eggs, sausage, cheese, and black beans and it also came with a side of potatoes. We love Murrayhill Cafe! This neighborhood restaurant has breakfast, lunch and dinner. The trio is a favorite with grilled cheese, soup and salad, all tasty and affordable! The tomato citrus soup is amazing. There are many options for pasta, fish or yum...beef stroganoff. Salads are great too. Great Indoor or outdoor dining with a lake view and twinkle lights on trees in the evening. Last week I made a 9:30 am reservation for Easter Sunday and requested a booth for the 3 of us. When the Host was taking my to the table he goes, "Ooh you wanted a booth?" I said I had requested one but having been a hostess myself, told him it wasn't the end of the world if there wasn't one. He said he had some but wanted to hold them and squish some 6 tops in them. I said that was fine, I get it. He joked he was "freaking out" I guess implying he was stressed about the reservations. Throughout our meal I watched him seat 3 or 4 booths with 4 people, no squishing 6 people in any of them. Our server was ok but maybe needed to slow down and be more present. My mom asked for coffee, the server asked myself and grandma and we both said no thank you. 10 minutes later, no coffee yet. My mom asked someone in passing who told our server. She came over and was like, "you wanted some coffee?" as if it was the first time she'd heard that. My mom confirmed she would like some coffee. Our server left and returned with two cups, she gave my mom one and then put the other one in front of my grandma, who can't have caffeine. She said, you wanted one too? To which my grandma said no, the server said she was going to leave it for one of us. I then watched the same server deliver food to a table across from us. She dropped a piece of toast which fell on one of the people's lap then the floor. But she didn't even notice. The woman held the toast up like, "uh? do I give this back to you?" Still didn't notice. The girl set it down on the table next to her plate unsure what else to do with it. I get working in a restaurant can be stressful especially on holidays but if you slow down a bit you won't miss so much. Anyway, the place was nice, clean and the food was decent. I will say it came out so quick though we wondered if some of it was already cooked and sitting under a warmer.
