They take orders through a kiosk and the food will be served from the back of the shop where you can retrieve your desserts through a window. A lot of variety in dessert offerings ranging from shaved ice (bingsoo) to sweet toasts, and plenty of seating with a lot of cute decor all around. I really wanted to like this place. We were actually talking about it earlier and everyone was so excited to check it out. As fate would have it, dinner ended up being in the same shopping center, at Taste of Korea. We have dinner and the whole time I'm staring at a GIANT stand display advertising WHO SEEK. Now if you know me, I am not much a dessert fan but I do enjoy a good bingsoo and instagram-able ambiance. We walk in, walk in to check out the back and to my surprise... I was not blown away. I was with some family and almost wanted to go elsewhere but we stuck with it. We order some drinks bc the bingsoo didn't impress me too much. The toppings seemed a bit lacking so maybe I should have given the benefit of the doubt but I think we were all on the same page. We got a some classics such as a iced mocha, milk boba, and an iced sweet potato latte with soy milk. We take our buzzer and sit in the back. We sit on a white couch and the tables are dirty so we chose the cleanest one. There is water so you can help yourself to that along with straw. I couldn't help but notice all the scruff marks and hair everywhere so if you're a germaphobe... not going to be your favorite. We try our drinks and the mocha is super sweet with hardly any coffee taste, boba is not bad, and the sweet potato latte was very underwhelming. To add to the experience, the girl who rang up seemed like she was going to apply the 10% discount for dining at taste of korea and then suddenly says they don't honor it anymore. That's ok but was it that hard to apply? I hope they take down the sign at taste of korea bc we saw another group that had dined there as well. Last but what's up with the smell? When you walk into the back part, it does not smell like you'd want to enjoy a dessert there. Also the loud humming noise? What was that about? Honestly it's more 3.5 stars. 2 star for Bingsoo and 5 star for interior. It's a very chic space with Instagrammable interior. I loved the concept here. There's also a secret door in the back. Don't be fooled by the small front space. Check it out! However, the bingsoo was a little disappointing. Not only did it come out in a very tiny bowl, the ingredients weren't original. The green tea ice cream didn't taste anything like green tea. The red bean and small mochi seemed store bought from Lotte or some other asian wholesaler. I'm not sure if I'd come back because I value the quality of food more than anything for a restaurant/café. It's a good place to go at least once though. Was really craving bingsoo when I found this place. The interior is very cute and aesthetic. Great place to come with a couple of friends. The tables have a weird sticky touch to them despite being clean, but that might just be me being sensitive to my environment. Overall, the bingsoo was pretty good. It wasn't WOW THE BEST but it quenched my bingsoo craving nicely. Who Seek is a late night dessert speakeasy in a Safeway shopping center in Chantilly, VA. It doesn't get more inconspicuous than that! When we first pulled up, I thought that the store was closed since the lighting was so dim -- but a tiny florescent "Open" sign beckoned us in. Who Seek specializes in coffee, tea, boba and Asian style desserts like honey cubes, bing soo, and cake. I placed my order for a hot rose earl gray tea and matcha honey cube (20% off with Yelp check in!) and made our way to the back of the restaurant where a small door magically opened to reveal a bright and chic dessert lounge for us to splay out and enjoy a sugar rush with our group. Desserts are delivered through a small window that magically opened up every few moments to reveal a teaser of our orders -- light and fluffy cakes, finely shaved snow ice topped with dark cocoa, mocha ice cream, macarons...and basically the works. My matcha honey cube was made with fluffy toasted bread that basically melted in my mouth. With a dusting of matcha dust and a hearty scoop of ice cream it was a great way to end the night on a sweet note. It was great tasting but I think they could have worked on the presentation a bit -- especially since aesthetic has been put in the forefront of every single of their other dishes. I saw this place on the HypeFoodies IG and stopped by after realizing it was close to home. Everything looked awesome in the video and didn't disappoint in real life. We showed up right as they were supposed to open but as we were driving away, someone flipped the sign add unlocked the door. We ordered honey dew boba, two snowflakes, and a milkshake. The place was dead inside and we were the only people there but it's decorated really well and is pretty cool. The food came out and was awesome. My kids loved it and so did my wife and I. I was really excited to try this place out! The photo's of the food online looks so good. Sometimes you just get that desert craving and you want something colorful with good textures. I really like how when you walk in they have it like a bakery low counter-top with glass separating where the patrons stand and the counter behind it. Only instead of bakery items, you see plasma screens with photo's of the various menu items you can order behind the glass. I ordered the waffle with nutella and banana. I was excited to try it as the picture looked amazing at the front bar. Once you order they give you a pager. If you walk to the left you see three, two people booths. If you keep walking forward the automatic doors open up into a bright room filled with modern Ikea furniture. Here you can wait for your food and sit and chat with your friends. When your food is ready your buzzer rings and the half door opens up from the kitchen and they yell out your order. I really liked the atmosphere and the design of this place! When I got the food I was super disappointed. The waffle was just dense and had no flavor. It looked a lot smaller than in the photo as well. After a couple of bites with the waffle I gave up and just ate the bananas off the top and placed the remaining waffle in the area designated for done dishes. Overall I really like the theme of a desert bar and the cool, almost speak easy atmosphere in the back. Cute place to grab dessert. Definitely try the Croffle! It's a buttery, delicious croissant pressed into a waffle with caramel drizzled over it. We also had a strawberry latte and it seemed made of just milk, sugar and some pieces of strawberry. I don't recommend it. I think the amount given is perfect for a party of 3-4 people. I enjoyed the sweet strawberries and crunchy cereal that they top it with (the opposing textures makes it 2x better!!). I wouldn't get this specific flavor again though since the texture of the cheesecake cubes were somewhat grainy and dense. I would also opt out of adding the extra scoop of ice cream, since it takes away from the refreshing shaved ice and becomes a bowl of cream.. The overall atmosphere of the cafe is very cute and picture-friendly. I liked how the seats and walls were decorated with hand-painted/drawn accents. Who Seek was the hot dessert place a couple years ago, I remember coming once and loving their interior decor. I came back recently with some friends and I still love their decor! The paintings on the walls feel really cool and I love what they have done with the space. However, I noticed the prices of desserts here have really gone up, whereas the quality has stayed the same. My friends and I ordered a Soy Redbean Bingsoo. It came out with a LOT of injeolmi (rice cake) powder, nearly making it impossible to eat. Everyone at my table was coughing at some point and I have heard from other people that they do overpowder their bingsoo. The ice itself was fine and the mochi was nice, but nothing special. I also wish there was a little more signage and/or service in the back. The forks and spoons are slightly hidden, the tables are pretty sticky, and the servers never come to the back room. Overall, a good dessert spot to come to with friends, but not the best. read more

I was craving matcha and mochi so I ordered the matcha snow while the little guy got a strawberry smoothie with boba. The "premium" smoothie was made with real fruit and wasn't too sweet which made it yummy and tart which my son loved. It was pretty pricey at ~$7, I'm used to paying around 5 for real fruit smoothies with boba and there wasn't anything special about this one. The matcha snow was fantastic! Light and fluffy snow, matcha ice cream, red bean, mochi bits and even bean filled mochi... Totally worth the $13 and enough to share between 2-3 people. Cafe Moment, formerly "who seek", is a sweet little treat off of, with a diverse menu of baked goods and drinks. The atmosphere is unassuming, but the back is floral and wonderfully atmospheric, and it's something that you gotta fully appreciate on your first trip. The food is good, with many things to instantly make your sweet tooth seize up. My favorite is the banana Nutella waffle, which is just as sweet and delicious as it sounds. They added like a weird strawberry glaze on top as well and it was nasty just in all it was a huge disappointment. There was two extra tables on the side of the counter and a door. I first thought the door was just for employees only and I was confused why the yelp pictures look different. It wasn't until I asked the lady to use the restroom and walk to the back of the door. The door automatically opened for me and there it was, the white room. There was actually quite amount of people there. The bathroom was definitely cool. It has these neon lights on the wall and attached to the mirror. Which adds a little fun to it. The dessert itself is pretty good. We got the strawberry snow ($12.40)I was surprised how big the portion was. I can probably feed up to four people. I like how they add the different crackers and desert on top of the ice cream. The snow was pretty soft flaky which it supposed be like that. This was my second visit, and it was underwhelming. The first time I was here, it was enjoyable. I had the matcha honey cube and strawberry snowflake. This time, I chose the most American-inspired flavors, which probably reflected on the averageness. Lol first of all, my brother described the aesthetic of the decor as reminiscent of the Spongebob ep when Squidward goes to the chrome future. It's a little harsh with the lighting and bright white. Last time, I liked the matcha and strawberry a lot; the flavors weren't too overpowering. The chocolate snowflake tasted like Hershey's syrup on a fudge pop. The apple pie honey cube was a really strange texture with applesauce and crushed animal crackers. Very nostalgic flavors but not necessarily what I wanted. -- Dead ok so I just went for the third time like months later and I never posted the second time but here we go. They changed things up significantly with the honey toast, and it wasn't for the better. It was large cubed pieces of toast unevenly toasted--some burnt and some lightly heated--and matcha drizzle and honey was drizzled haphazardly everywhere. It wasn't tossed around or properly soaked with honey butter. The matcha was a little bitter and the honey was goopy. The burnt bits were significantly off-putting. When my friends told me that this place was with great Instagram aesthetics, I was shocked when I walked in that it was just a small cafe with a black wall. My response: "that's it??" But they urged me to to keep walking down the hallway which I was responded with "there's nothing but some seats...womp womp... WOOOOOOOW" Such a clever name and theme to be carried on to the shop in itself. I loved being pleasantly surprised, finding the hidden speakeasy at the end of the dark and narrow hallway. So glad this dessert shop is in Chantilly! Located right beside Taste of Korea. If you eat there and bring your receipt at Who Seek, you get 20% off your total. If you check-in on Yelp, you can also get 20 % off any honey butter cube. Upon entering, you will immediately see their bright picture menu. The cashiers are very kind and welcoming. You can order drinks to go but their desserts cannot be prepared to go. They will give you a buzzer, once your order is ready it will be handed to you at their pick up window. One you first step into the dessert shop, at first it doesn't look like there is much seating. Just 3 smaller booths, but you will see a bookcase as well. Walk closer to the bookcase and you will discover that it's a sliding door leading you to another room with more seating. Love the decor of the ambiance. It's perfect for meeting up for some dessert and good conversation. Their desserts are excellent! We really enjoyed the apple pie honey butter cube and strawberry snowflake. Nothing was overly sweet and the consistency was on point. The apple pie honey butter cube had warm and toasty pieces of bread with cool creamy vanilla ice cream on the side. It had a nice apple pie flavor to it. The shaved ice in the strawberry snowflake was lovely. It was smooth and fluffy. I appreciate that it didn't have hard ice crystals in it. While I'm not a fan of the name (specifically the spelling), I am a fan of this cafe/dessert place. At first I was very unimpressed with the 3 booths capable of sitting 6 people. Definitely, not the the kind of place to hang out. That is, until you realize the sliding door on the back wall isn't just a cover for a bathroom or closet, but the gateway into a clean, cozy lounge where you can actually enjoy your desserts. The decor is decidedly modern, and I LOVE the fact that they have an extra sink on the outside of the bathroom. Not only does it promote cleanliness, but it's more convenient too. Not that there was anything wrong with the bathrooms. On the contrary, it was immaculate. And the cool neon light thing on the bathroom wall makes taking care of business just as enjoyable as polishing off every bit of your dessert. As far as the food, the honey bread, I just don't get, but my wife LOVES it. The bing-soo...my taste buds excite, but shaved milk is not a gastro delight. Only better things are the wait since it's pretty new, the location is closer to me, and I enjoyed their Honey Toast more because they cut up the toast into bite size. The decor is Veeryyy interesting. When you enter, it's a very dark black tiled room. You order at the front and then go to the back. The back seemed smol like 3 booths, but you're supposed to approach the sliding door. AND IT JUST OPENS AUTOMATICALLY AND YOU ARE BLINDED BY THE WHITE ROOM. It was like opening the gates to heaven LMAO. I like the aesthetic they were going for: modern, very bright and white with accents of colors, and cute little decor. Thanks to Yelp for this find!! Was trying to find something open after 8:30pm for my girlfriends and I to hang out and this was perfect. I wasn't sure what to expect with the honey butter bread but it's yummy, cubed white bread toasted and drizzled with honey, light, airy, and crunchy. I got it with matcha ice cream. Google maps gave me really bad directions, it's right next to Aldi and Taste @Hong Kong. You even get to walk through a 'secret' door to more seating, see pictures. I can't wait to go back! Founded by those who have brought Chantilly-ians and the rest of NoVA-ians Taste of Korea, this new Korean dessert place offers snowflake, rice cake, and various beverages (teas, ades, smoothies, bubble teas, and coffee). You don't have to travel far, as this dessert place is a couple doors down from TOK. The hubs and I came here after having dinner in the area, and we ordered: the Lemonade, the Pineapple Ade, the Peach Orange Smoothie, and the Honey Toast. I wasn't a fan of the Lemonade, as it tasted more like sugar water rather than any hint of lemons; I wished that it was sparkly and more heavy on the citrus! The Pineapple Ade was refreshing, as it was bubbly and had a good subtle pineapple taste to it; again, I wished it tasted more heavy on the pineapple. The Peach Orange Smoothie was a total favorite, as it was the right amount of the sweetness and the consistency was neither too thin or too thick; loved the combination of the peaches and the oranges! The Honey Toast took a while for it to come out, as everything is made to order. It definitely came in a large tear-shaped plate with a very generous amount of cubed thick toast, whipped cream, honey drizzles, and a side of vanilla ice cream. The bread was toasted, but it actually was a bit dried out and tasted stale, and the honey, the whipped cream, and the ice cream didn't make it any better. There were some parties before us, so the wait was definitely unusually long; I can only imagine how it is on busier evenings/on weekends! At least the staff were fully aware and apologetic. The place is definitely cute, as when you go past the front area, it leads you to more of a cafe-type of setting. It was super bright with whites and pinks, a cute little cart with various plants, and the adorable flamingo miniatures showcased on the shelves. Once you walk in, it has a black interior; however, when you place your order and walk through the automatic door, is this very white aesthetically pleasing place. The decor is very simple, fresh, and super cute. Great place to take cute food pictures with your friend. This place is a little bit on the pricier side of things. My friend and I ordered the coffee honey toast and passion fruit drink. The passion fruit drink was very refreshing and was carbonated!!! It was also not overwhelmingly sweet. Our order was made wrong and they accidentally made the coffee bingsoo instead, but they were really nice about it and gave my friend and I the bingsoo and honey toast!! The bingsoo was okay in my opinion and nothing special about it. Also, you can get bingsoo somewhere else for cheaper. The coffee honey toast, on the other hand, was super good!! There is a long hallway that's painted black and then it leads to the main sitting area which contrasts to a bright white room. I ordered the chocolate waffles which are definitely cute to look at, nothing out of the ordinary-- just tastes like waffles. Wish the waffles were a bit softer. Also ordered the blueberry yogurt drink and strawberry yogurt drink and a caramel macchiato. All of the drinks were pretty good so no complaints there. The place is still fairly new so as of now, you cant to-go any desserts. I was trying to bring back a dessert for my mom to try but they do not have to go boxes yet. Definitely a cute place to go check out with family or friends. The staff are super friendly which is a plus and here is limited seating and when I went on a Sunday night, it was poppin. MUST VISIT! This is recently opened dessert/sweet drink place in Chantilly place. It is located right next to Taste of Korea. You can't really notice it far from Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy but you will be fascinated by their interior setting and neat color theme. Once you enter, you would see the ordering register right in front of you. The entrance area is all in black with bright screen menu. Currently they have bingsoos, a couple of sweets, fruity ades, smoothies, teas, and espresso based drink options, but the staff informed me that bubble tea options will be available sooner. After you order, there is a direction to back of this dessert shop through the automated glass door (very neat) where more seatings are. Walking through the short hall way, 2 people seating booths on your right THEN get ready for instagram pictures as you step into the back. Bright lights, white walls and ceiling, colorful carpet and cute knickknacks, nicely displayed art works, couch seatings and table seatings available. Today's orders: blueberry yogurt smoothie and rose ade with very light sweetener (all drinks come in one size, I think) - Mine was rose ade. It was very refreshing and it was perfect to quench my thirst in the afternoon. - Didn't have a taste of the smoothie so cannot make a comment but looked really healthy Not many people knows about this place YET but it is a decent study area during weekdays.
