Heard about this place from a friend who is/was a Elite Yelper. They have talked a lot of good things about the food and the amazing service here and also took me here a couple times. I'm so glad my friend showed me this place. I love the food here it's so good!! Excellent food and service here. I come here for lunch/dinner takeouts when I'm near by shopping or coming from the gym. This is far by the best Greek food places I know in Montclair with many food options. My favorite is the Grilled Steak Wrap with the Mediterranean Fries with a side of hummus. read more

Walked in to this establishment not even a hello from the cashier seemed to be in a poor mood asked for a coffee received a " no we don't have an expresso machine" rudely would have ordered something else but poor costumer service made me walk right out that door. read more

This place is my favorite Mediterranean restaurant. Service is quick and friendly. Most everything tastes amazing (falafels could use some improvement). The kabobs are to die for, the salads are great, the hummus is awesome, and the lentil soup is fantastic! It's a bit on the pricier side, however. If you get a kabob meal, expect to pay between $15-20 bucks. It'd be nice if they could bring their price point down a little bit. I'd probably eat there more often! read more

Surprised we usually come here and the food is usually good I guess I'm just finding out that they are not consistent with portion size or how they cook items .. we spend quite a bit here too. This time it wasn't as good and food wasn't cooked right. Surprised to say me and my daughter didn't feel good after eating to the point of getting nauseous, and upset stomach. Your sign says you open at 11... I give you 15 minutes... I still see someone working in the back who doesn't acknowledge me or the other 2 customers who wanted lunch. I gave you 30 minutes and not only did you not answer the customers at the window but you also didn't answer your phone. So I gave up and gave my business to the mall instead of you. Found Cafe Moderno through YELP. I went with my husband and 2 friends. We ordered the kabob combo with beef and chicken, you also get 2 sides and pita bread. The meat was very flavorful and tender! I ordered the Mediterranean fries but don't think I would order it again, feta is extra $. I had the Greek Salad and that was tasty! We also ordered stuffed grape leaves, delish! My friends loved the food as well, we are definitely coming back! Service was great any attentive. read more

Yikes. We chose this place because they serve lamb and garlic sauce. Completely overpriced and they nickel and dime you for sauce. Actually, they charge a whole dollar for a measley container of garlic sauce even after purchasing over $40 of food. Oh, and they don't tell you until AFTER they charge your card. They also charge $14 for a double kabob plate, but sneak in another $2 because its lamb. Next time we will make the drive to Zankou Chicken, Gabby's, or even Luna Grill. Also, their kids meals are $5 and they dont come with a drink. They don't offer healthy kids mini kabob plates, instead only chicken nuggets, fries and pasta. A shame. Over $50 for 2 kabob plates and a kids meal. Wtf. read more

The food was great my son and I ate outside it was nice the inside was filled up at time we had went so we decided to have dinner outside .one of the guy servers was great he made sure everything was good he checked back twice although the young girl who worked cashier was not on good service when I asked he if I can replace the caffeine latte with something els she said oh that's all the coffees we had .my son asked her if he can get more tea she said u can go in side & get some instead of saying sure Ill grab u some .like the young man did minutes later when he had checked bk to see how we were doing or needed anything . Now that's service ! other then that foods excellent the only thing is the cashier may need to have better service for business . I may go back there because the great food . & maybe hope for a better cashier or she step it up a lot better read more

I had lunch here yesterday. This was my first time here, the girl taking our order was VERY knowledgeable about all of their food and explained every dish extremely well. She was very nice and so patient with all of my questions and changes I made to my order. The food: I had shrimp and lamb kabobs(a little tough but good flavor) with the Rocca salad (TO DIE FOR) and hummus with pita. I am already craving that salad again. We had a side of fried zuchinni, they are huge thick pieces of zuchinni and the breading was not too tasty. I would not order those again. The portions are plentiful. We also enjoyed the lentil soup. Beer selection is very basic. If they added a few craft beers this would be 5 stars for me. The rice and salad were great. The Gyro meat was skimpy, although tasty. For the full plate price, I seemed to only receive a sandwich quantity. The humus was amazing as was the pita bread. However, do not, and I repeat, do NOT order the salmon. I can only characterize it as fish jerky. It was so overcooked that I could not swallow the first bite and wasted the $13 on the order. It was takeout and I wondered if they forgot it on the grill since there were a few in-house customers eating. I will not return as I felt it was wasted money. read more
