Food was amazing! Definitely one of the top Italian spots in Eugene. Servers were friendly, recommend the lasagna, be sure to save room for tiramisu!! read more

Delizioso! My new favorite dining experience in Eugene. Everything was excellent. Great service and delicious food. My guests raved about the experience the whole way home. We started off with Shrimp & Calamari and Tuscan Meatball appetizers (sorry, forgot pictures). I had the Pork Scaloppine served with a perfect mushroom sauce, not the typical small portion found in most high end restaurants, I had to take half home. My guests raved about the Linguine Volgole and the Mahi Mahi (subbed for the halibut), they finished everything. Dessert was not what I expected at all, but I am glad I saved room. We already made plans to return next week. read more

We don't often venture to South Eugene, but we heard several people talk about Cafe Med, and I'm so glad we made the trip. We wanted to eat everything on the menu, it all sounded so good. I ended up having the best pillowy cheesy gnocchi I have ever had, and my wife had a lovely risotto. We didn't save room for dessert, but I can say we will definitely be back. Our server was also wonderful, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable. The space is small, but cozy and intimate. Definitely recommend making reservations, which are easy to do. read more

After a long hot day at work, we deliberated cooking at home or getting take out. But we had errands to run and in the end decided to eat out. We were looking for something new, and actually planned on going somewhere else, however we stumbled upon this tucked away gem in the heart of our hood. Camille was our server, brilliant and lovely. She brought us waters, went over the questions we had about the cocktail and wine menu, and gave us time to ease in and take it in. The seating was outdoor, but in this amazing oasis you wouldn't even know was there unless you went. (I have lived in this neighborhood 8 years and have passed by many of times, it is tucked in!) We started with cocktails and appetizers, the Lemoncello Lavendar Lemondrop Martini is a must, not too sweet and just perfect on steamy afternoon! We had the Polenta appetizer served with Wild Mushrooms and Sweet Cream and a Carpaccio and Arugula Salad. I have to confess, I am biased as an East Coast Italian girl and picky choosy as well when it comes to Italian food and this restaurant nails it! Wowzas! Next we ordered a dish to share, Pork Scallopene, accompanied with Roasted Kale and Baby Potatoes in a Wild Mushroom Marsala Sauce. There are truly no words to how amazing this dish was! We paired it with a glass of DelTetto Roero Arneis and the Roncho Blanchis Collio Pinot Gris. The food was beyond delicious, the ambiance welcoming and the meal divine. We will definitely be back! And looking forward to seeing Camille again (she has the same name as my daughter ) read more

Cafe Med is a downright lovely experience through and through! It has been on my wishlist for far too long so I had built it up in my head and it was still even better than imagined. It can be tough to find vegan options at nicer eateries and Cafe Med accommodated me without batting an eye. Even more, my dish was fresh, flavorful, and full of perfect veggies. The wine list was well rounded and the salads were diverse. The staff were caring and made us feel really welcome and even surprised us with a treat at the end. I am grateful for the experience and am so happy to live nearby as I will be back again and again! There is so much heart in the place - thank you! read more

This place was so good! We are visiting from socal and found this through Yelp and decided to try. Got the Sol (?) fish (it was a special I believe) and the gnocchi and both were delicious! Highly recommend we wish we could bring this back home with us. read more

In Eugene for parents weekend. We almost did not go here because it was a few minutes away. That would've been a huge mistake. Huge. This is one of the best Italian res I have ever been to. Better than NY. Better than SF. Bolognese was best I've ever had. Wife had gnocchi which was insane. Pizza is different from anything you have ever had. If you don't like local family owned restaurants this is not your place. By the way one of the best Negroni too. Toby, Sebastian, Christian, all were warm and friendly. read more

Perhaps I ordered the wrong food. Restaurant was very pretty but the menu extremely limiting. Drink was not well mixed and the dinner lacked taste and ingenuity. I am not sure I would ever return. Very disappointed. read more

Great new addition to Eugene, both visits great looking forward to going again. Their pizza is is different and very good

Absolutely incredible in every respect. Food, service, and ambiance were outstanding. More than highly recommended it. Just make sure to call ahead and make a reservation because it's always full. read more

The food was delicious and service was right on. I wish the patio was a bit larger or less tables. We were a party of 5 cramped in the corner. read more

Quaint place with exceptional food and wine. The patio area was a little loud, but for not having a reservation, I can't complain. Many dishes to choose from, with various prices, and reasonable proportions. Ambiance and attire is more on the classy side, though I arrived in yoga pants and wasn't turned away. read more

Second time at Cafe Med. I hard to imagine but I think it was better. We had a party of 10 and everyone loved their food. Meh. Quality of the meat subpar. Duck was overly fatty and the chicken was rubber. Nice staff, nice space but rather have good food.

What a jem of a spot. Family owned and operated. Cozy atmosphere. Amazing food and service. Our server, Ocean was knowledgeable and prompt AND so personable. He shared with us the family and restaurants history dating back 100 years to Milan Italy. The cuisine is legit Italian. They made us feel like we were part of the family. We will 100% be back and tell everyone to go!!! Thank you Cafe Med! read more

Cute little place with friendly staff. Great specials. They do have a small off menu selection for kids upon request.

A very welcome addition to the Eugene food scene. They classed up the old building and it's warm and inviting , whether out on the patio or inside. The patio seemed MUCH less loud than inside the restaurant, so if you have trouble hearing I'd recommend asking for patio seating. The music inside was blaring loudly (it was nice music but hard to hear anything else) and all tables were full, everyone trying to talk over the music in a small room. I even heard a waiter tell another staff that the music was too loud, but nothing changed. Service was very nice and accommodating. Wine by the glass was excellent but pricey ($13 minimum per glass I think). Menu was great, all enjoyed their food overall, but the salmon plate was vastly under seasoned and had about a pound of blanched spinach heaped next to it without seasoning too-- healthy perhaps, but not super tasty. Lots of seafood options that I loved. The clam linguine was well done but had a LOT of parsley cooked in, so much that if you weren't a huge fan of parsley it'd ruin the dish. Overall we had a great visit and will come back to try more! read more

What a gem here in South Euhene. Just great Italian cuisine and awesome Pinsas. Food was perfectly executed. Good wine list at realistic prices. Could use a little work to make the atmosphere of the place a little warmer, but it's fine and it's still new. Excellent and attentive service. Prices on the higher side, but completely in line with the quality of the food. We are just thrilled to have this little gem here. My only fear is that it's going to get so popular that it's going to be super hard to get a table once word gets out. read more

If you like delicious Italian food with an elegant yet unpretentious vibe, this is the spot. The casual ambience made us feel welcome and the service was attentive and helpful. I had the parpadelle and it was incredible- my family was sneaking bites off my plate! The creamy tomato sauce was other worldly! And I had a few nibbles of my son's tortelloni- also scrumptious.. The ingredients are high quality, from the balsamic to the basil. Really nice latte after dinner as well. I am so pleased to have finally found exceptional Italian food in Eugene and look forward to returning. read more

First visit to Cafe Med was wonderful. Our reservation was handled perfectly, and the staff were accommodating and friendly. The server was very friendly and recommended that we split the salad, which was more than enough for 2. We ordered the Ravioli, and it was also enough for 2. We'll definitely be going back. It was a little noisy, but tolerable. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Our waitress was super sweet and the ambience was nice. Food was amazing and they were great about dealing with my food allergies. Ambiance was lovely. Food was delicious. Minor problems early when we were served the wrong cocktail, they were out of the bottle of wine we ordered from the menu and the bread was a little dry. Fussilloni Pesto Genovese was outstanding! The restaurant had a great ambience outside.

great food, loved interaction and knowledge of our waiter, only negative, a little loud and tight quarters.

the food was wonderful!!! we will definitely add this to our top 5! downside? when they have a table of 12? you can not hear anything you date is saying unless you yell. very intimate and every table full. it's nicer for tables of 2/4 for a more quiet experience service great too read more

Mediocre Italian food. Noisey, drafty space. OK service. Not worth a second trial, especially not in cold weather..

Amazing food. Amazing service and great atmosphere. Make reservations because books out fast. No surprise.

First time dining here last night. The place was full and we did not realize we should have made a reservation. Lovely owner and the sweet hostess allowed us to sit at the bar to dine and we were thrilled! The steak carpaccio was heavenly with a dressing that was to die for. We then had a pizza and prosciutto burrata salad that were brilliant! Can't wait to go back and try all the items from this quaint lovely restaurant!! read more

We just had dinner there and I don't want to brush my teeth just so I can keep tasting the food. Small spot, definitely call ahead for a reservation. We snagged an 8pm spot, got the risotto and some other dish that was great. Capped it off with pistachio tiramisu and a cup of coffee. Very pleasant atmosphere, pleasant attentive service.
