    Margherita pizza
    Stania C.

I came here for the first time for dinner on a Saturday night. We made reservations for 6:45pm and I definitely recommend a reservation because this restaurant is popular and I saw plenty of people waiting to get seated. Also from my observation there is no waiting area. There was a crowd of people standing around waiting to be seated. Even with reservations, there was a slight wait, but the hostess told us that we could wait at the bar which we did. While at the bar, I decided to grab a cocktail. I got a cocktail called Hugo which was a muddled and cucumber cocktail with lime Hendricks gin, St Germaine , prosecco, and a splash of soda/ Mint. I'm not much of a drinker so I'm not the best when it comes to my knowledge of alcoholic beverages. But the Hugo cocktail was more of a refreshing cocktail and not very sweet. I personally couldn't finish the whole glass because I started to feel it but again my tolerance may be lower than others. Once we were seated, they brought out some complementary bread. For an appetizer, we decided to split the Margherita pizza. I decided to have a slice of the pizza and it was actually pretty good. For my main entree I got the Pappardelle Bolognese and I definitely recommend it. It was actually very tasty. My sister got the Rigatoni Vodka Gallucci and our friend got the Fettucine Carbonara. I got to sample both of their pasta dishes and both were delicious. So honestly, you can't go wrong with either three of those pasta dishes. The service was actually very excellent so I have no complaints in that area.

This will definitely have to be my go to Italian restaurant in New Jersey. Starting off the service was immaculate from the hostess to the bartender to our waiter. Everyone was very pleasant. Next the food was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The Margherita pizza was a great way to start off our meal and the portions were enough for three. For our entrees we indulged in the restaurants many selective pasta options. I had the rigatoni and it was to die for. I also took dive into the bolognese and carbonara which were also superb. I feel like either option is a hit. Also, I highly suggest reservations because this spot does get busy.

In a word, just don't. Ok, two words. Big disappointment on all levels. We went for lunch and it was nearly empty. It's a nicely decorated place, no issue there. However, they did not turn the heat on, or barely had it on. We were all freezing! It was literally warmer in the restroom! The food was nicely presented, but the taste was below par. Tiramisu looked amazing, but it was bland and barely sweet. Certainly no espresso nor liquor in it. One coffee came twenty minutes after they brought desert. We ordered veal which was drenched in sauce to cover up a raw tasting piece of meat. The best part was our waiter who was incredibly polite and friendly. He did the best he could, under the circumstances.

I would rate Cafe Luna 3.5 stars. I came today for lunch with some friends. We sat at a high top in the bar area. I was expecting to be served a lunch menu, but apparently there is no lunch menu on the weekend. I was slightly disappointed, but it seemed the rest of my party didn't care, so I brushed it aside. We started off sharing a bottle of the Underwood Rose. For 33$ it was a great price for 4 people to share. The wine was very good and nicely chilled. Shortly after, we got a bread basket. The bread needs a big upgrade. The bread they served was similar to the loaves you get from a typical Italian takeout restaurant- crunchy, almost stale sub bread. It was served aside packets of butter- another downside. For an appetizer we ordered the zucchini sticks because we had a lot of seafood allergies in my party. It was a nice serving, and the quality was above average. For entrees we got the orecchiette with broccoli rabe, truffle oil pizza with arugula, prosciutto and parmesan, penne vodka and chicken parm. All of the entrees were very good! The pizza was very large, and absolutely delicious. There was a nice amount of toppings, and perfect amount of truffle oil. The orecchiette was perfectly flavored as well. The service was ordinary, nothing to write home about. I would definitely come back for a pizza and a drink another time. Side note: the food is very salty. After returning home, I am already on my third can of seltzer!

This was my first time at cafe Luna and the experience was top notch. I came after mask mandates were lifted in NJ so there is no requirement for customers or servers to wear masks. For those still uncomfortable with indoor dining, there is a nice outdoor tent area with lights to still make it a special evening. The food was phenomenal! I came with a large group so we had a variety of appetizers! My favorites were the sweet and sour calamari and the snow crab sushi. Truffle pizza was absolutely amazing with a very strong truffle taste, which I love. I am not one to usually order dessert when out (I am usually already full from dinner) but this dessert platter was soooo good! My husband who is not a huge dessert guy even for seconds of the cheesecake. The tiramisu was very moist and tasty. We came on a Friday night so there was a DJ that came on later in the evening. The overall atmosphere and food were top notch!

Every single time, it did not disappoint. What I love about this place is that it has the decor and vibe of a trendy Manhattan spot, but the manager and even the girls at the front are super sweet and welcoming. It has an upscale vibe, but still feels warm and approachable. The food is fantastic, the service is wonderful, the drinks are great, and the decor is beautiful. I haven't experienced the live music yet, but a couple of times I went on the weekends it had a fun party vibe with great music. If you're going on a date and want it a little quieter, I'd suggest going earlier in the evening. I also think there are certain days with live music and others that are more low-key. Overall, this is a great addition to the area. I will definitely be back. It's perfect for family outings, date night, girls' night, or even being bold and going solo.

That being said, the $35 Chicken Parm is so fantastic you have to pay extra for the pasta. I was afraid to ask what the $235 Tomahawk Steak didn't come with. The meal is presented fabulously in 2D. The small portions are spread sparingly across the nice big long plates with a colorful manage of sauces framing your meal, giving the illusion that the serving is generous and worthy of celebration. The event ends long before your palette is quenched and you find yourself calculating that the experience may not be worth the cost. A notion confirmed upon receiving the check. The pretentious "social club" in title leads those blindly paying almost $20 for a cocktail in the expectation that not only their thirst will be satiated but their hearts as well. For if one is willing and has the means to afford such gifts for themselves, surely they can be persuaded to share their wealth. The attempt to combine a non traditional Italian restaurant with a privileged to enter social club becomes the pinnacle of indigestion as the shared sound system between the two venues is raised to a volume around sunset making it difficult to finish a discussion that started two minutes ago and impossible to start any new meaningful interlude. All this experience overload (and expense overload) comes with a real sense of regret when you realize upon leaving, that which seemed curious to you when you entered....I'm in a strip mall off Route 9 in central Jersey. Do yourself a favor, save your money and goto any number of the cool good time venues located in or around Old Bridge, NJ where the beers are still $5, the drinks are $10 and the cool vibes are free of regrets.

Our experience started off fine--the server was friendly and knowledgeable. However, things quickly went downhill. We ended up waiting an extra 10 minutes for a plain pizza after everyone else at the table had already been served. To make matters worse, a 20% tip was automatically added to our bill despite the delay. We didn't blame the server, but when we raised concerns about the wait and the gratuity, she responded that it wasn't her fault and walked away. A manager finally came over just as we were about to leave, but that only made things worse. He insisted the situation wasn't his fault either, blaming the system and the kitchen--anyone but himself or his team. It felt like accountability was completely absent. If you want a pleasant dining experience without frustration from poor service and management, I recommend avoiding Feast.

The parking was actually full when we arrived, possibly because of the bar using the same lot. But there is an elevated connected lot for the bowling alley that has plenty of parking. I have to say that the best thing about this place is the service: everyone was very friendly, and quick to attend us. Food was great, except maybe the flake fish (first course). Seemed more Spanish to me than Portuguese though. Portions were huge... actually had leftovers from a dish, which is the first for me from a tasting menu. The prices were reasonable In terms of why I'm giving this 4 star instead of 5: -we were seated at the "Chefs counter", but did not really have a view of the prep, which was really far away. Basically could just see the fireplace. The sister restaurant Heirloom is a much better chef's counter setup where you are seeing everything -Dishes seemed to be regular menu type dishes (just smaller portions), as opposed to super interesting types that you would expect from a tasting menu -Beverage pairing was okay... didn't really love the wines For these reasons, I'd likely return, but just stick to the regular menu/ experience.
