I will drink iced coffee when it's -20 degrees out, no hesitation, and they absolutely nail it every time. I also love that I get to see baby Bostyn when I swing through. It just adds to that warm, small-business feel that you don't get everywhere. Growing up around my grandma's pawn shop and my Aunt Katie's coffee shop, I've always had a soft spot for small, locally owned businesses where you can feel the passion behind what they do. This cute little coffee shack came in clutch on our recent trip to Anchorage and being just down the street from our hotel made it extra convenient. I had an iced white mocha breve with added English toffee syrup (so yum!), it was nice and smooth, not bitter and the balance between creaminess and sweetness was perfect. I kind of wonder if Alaska's clean, glacial, mountain spring water plays a role in the coffee being so good up here -- I haven't had a bad cup yet -- but I must say, Boom stood out enough to inspire me to leave this review. I also appreciate their large cup being a true large -- it actually seemed bigger than most, which I appreciated. Our barista was helpful and had a very kind demeanor. The fact that this place is open 24/7 is a major bonus in itself. We will definitely make a point to stop by next time we're in town, and you should too. Minus 1 star because they don't have a menu posted anywhere, I had to find a VERY old yelp pic for reference. For those in charge at Boom!, please post a menu or at least add on to your website or upload one on your Yelp page. Thanks.
