Cafe Le Reve... what a dream! Get it? Because "le rêve" means "the dream" in French. Maybe? Okay, anyways. This is a new little cafe in the Mission Grove Plaza in Riverside located by Galaxy Theaters. They're only open from the morning until early afternoon and serve a mean breakfast/brunch. They offer a lot of French and French-styled foods and pastries, and the chef really does seem to be from France. It's a pretty small restaurant, so I wouldn't suggest a large group, but I believe they also do have outdoor seating. I came here with a friend and we were seated pretty quickly and I gotta say the service here was very prompt and helpful. We ordered the French Toast with a side of eggs and bacon, as well as the "Le Steak" which is Eggs Benedict except with steak with the tomato provençale for the side. Our orders came very fast as well, and everything tasted delicious and cooked just right. We also ended up getting the trio of macarons for dessert and those were also very nice. Very light texture. Not only was the food delicious, I was so grateful that they had some gluten free options like my Eggs Benedict toast was swapped for gluten free AND they had gluten free macaroons!!! My heart was ecstatic!! Thought I'd never get to have another fresh yummy macaroon with a yummy hot coffee (coffee was so good you could have it black if you chose to). I ordered the egg & brie croissant and added bacon, avocado, lettuce, and tomato. It seemed fairly pricey, and I wasn't sure it would be worth it, but the portion was huge, and it had a ton of avocado. The side was the pave potato, a square of cheesy baked potato, which was very good.
