The bartender confirms that martinis are not on happy hour then explains that the additional surcharge is because a Cosmo has a splash of cranberry juice, so it's martini price plus. Never heard this before. I cheaped out and ordered a house pinot grigio. Regarding food, the visit a year ago was profoundly disappointing. That entree was described as pasta with a lobster tail. I expected to see a lobster tail but there were just a couple of very tiny pieces of supposed lobster tail that must have come from a just hatched lobster. We left with what appears to be numerous sand flea bites covering our feet, legs, and arms. I personally have well over 100 bites, and the discomfort has continued to make the past several days of our vacation miserable. We were actively slapping and killing the fleas while sitting at the restaurant, and other guests around us were also commenting on them. I understand that I'm visiting from out of town and may not have known what to expect from dining directly on the sand. However, I have a serious concern with Turtle Club actively promoting the experience of "digging your feet in the sand" without clearly warning guests about the potential for sand fleas or explaining whether the area is regularly treated or maintained to prevent this issue. Is this something Turtle Club routinely experiences? Are the outdoor dining areas treated for insects? If this is a known issue, guests deserve to be made aware before choosing to dine outside. Unfortunately, as much as we enjoyed the food and sunset, the outdoor dining experience was simply not worth the consequences we've dealt with afterward. For future guests: bring bug spray and be prepared, or consider sitting inside. I wish we had known before choosing the outdoor experience. Turtle Club, I hope you take this feedback seriously and consider doing more to protect and properly inform your guests.

We say, simply: "we are just going to finish our coffees." She hears us. Denies it. And grabs the cups anyway. I look up like excuse me?? And she looks at me, dead in the eye, and goes: "Well aren't you done?" MA'AM. NO. We were NOT done. I say, still not finished. And this is where it gets unhinged, because she goes: "well there's a wait." A wait?? For WHAT. There were FOUR tables open inside. EIGHT tables open outside. My companion, sensing the unhingedness of the woman gets up to go find our ACTUAL waitress, the good one, because at this point all we want in this world is to finish our coffee, leave our 30% tip (we were being SO generous, we do not play like that), and say thank you like normal diners. You know the show. That's exactly what it felt like. Service was prompt and attentive from the start. My drink order was taken and delivered quickly, and when I asked for a menu recommendation, the staff guided me toward their signature crab fried rice -- and I am so glad they did. This dish is unlike anything I've had at any Thai restaurant, and I've had crab fried rice at quite a few. The blend of ingredients Tigress uses is truly special. Every element comes together in a way that feels almost magical. Worth every single penny.
