    The Green Sandwich
    Belanca R.

We stopped here for our breakfast/lunch and it was so good! We're on a road trip right now and so far this is my favorite place we've stopped. My mom and I shared the green which was a delicious sandwich with hummus and super greens. We got it on sour dough bread and we aren't "healthy" people but it's so honestly one of my new favorite sandwiches! We also got the fresh squeezed orange juice which we literally watched the employee squeeze, it was so good. My brother got the Eleven with an herb bagel and he really enjoyed it even though it wasn't something he would normally have. His girlfriend got a bagel which she said was really good! The employees were both very nice (and dressed really cutely). And the shop was adorable with a little chalk board wall that you could draw on and a nook where you could eat. We ended up sitting outside and eating it was a really good experience!

Fantastic breakfast sandwiches and delicious coffee. The owner was super nice and personable. The cafe was extremely comfy and a great place to just hang out for a while. I even brought home a bag of coffee beans, I enjoyed my coffee so much!

I came here with my dad to work on some emails. The environment was perfect for finishing up some work. It was cozy and they have free WiFi available, which was very fast and reliable. Our coffee was so good! My dad got an Americano, he's pretty picky about his coffee, milk and water ratio and was delighted with how it was made here. He actually called his brother right after the first few sips and told him he had to come by and try a cup! I got the Honey Lavender Oat special. It was super tasty! I'm dairy free and was impressed with the amount of dairy free and vegan options. We didn't try any of the sandwiches this time but we plan on coming back. We did have some muffins, they were soft and tasted fresh. Staff was kind and friendly. They have reusable dishes and silverware and take contactless payments. There's some seating options both inside and outside. Parking is street parking as it's in a residential neighborhood.

The most precious little vegan coffee shop. Serving up delicious sandwiches and pastries and beautiful coffee drinks. I got the vegan eleven with bacon and kulfi latte and both were so tasty. The location and staff were so homey and sweet. I wish i lived closer because love it here so much!

Came here to meet with a friend/colleague. The cold brew is delicious and $5 for 16oz and there are a good selection of sandwiches. No meat but there are eggs. I ordered the Rozz on a herb and salt bagel and it was so delicious. The cheese was melts and the pesto was perfect for a brunch snack. Service was cool too, there are 3 sitting areas outside and 3 inside. Good place to work from if you need to get out of the house. Also off the Main Street so it's pretty quiet. Not quiet enough for a phone call but quiet enough to work.

Great indoor seating. Great patio seating, beautiful pastries. Delicious coffee. Great service!! 10/10

Hidden little gem off MLK. Lovely Italian sodas and nice, polite and quick staff. I will be returning soon.

Super cute neighborhood cafe. They've got plenty of vegan/vegetarian options to choose from, and delicious Trailhead coffee. They've also got ample seating inside and out, perfect for relaxing or studying. The folks at the counter were sweet and helpful, and definitely know how to make a delicious creamy latte. The vegan bagel sandwiches (+eggs) were so filling and packed full of veggies. The perfect breakfast fuel for a morning on Mt Hood. Definitely give this sweet spot a try!

Everything bagel with spinach, red onion, tomato, cream cheese - and I added egg and sun dried tomatoes. And a small soy lavender latte.

We decided on outdoor patio seating since the weather was nice & it was generally quieter outside. We were people watching for a bit and noticed that our fellow restaurant goers were waiting for quite a bit, but we weren't in a hurry, so it was fine. When our waiter eventually tended to us, he was incredibly friendly & apologetic, owning up to the delay being on him, but we were cool with it -poor guy was working a double shift. We started off with deep-fried okra, I ordered the fried chicken meal, & hubby ordered the burger. I got to pick the chicken pieces I wanted, so I went with 2 thighs, thinking they'd be smaller pieces, so I could maybe finish my meal. I opted for collard greens as well. The food came relatively quickly and was super-fresh. The fried okra bits were piping hot down to the last bite. They went well with the spicy aioli. We hung onto the aioli so hubby could dip his fries. My meal was so good. The chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful. The batter was just perfect and crisp. Mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy. Gravy was rich and well-seasoned. Collard greens were so tasty. The balance of textures was just perfection. I ended up having to pack up a piece of chicken because it was so much food, but I enjoyed every bite I was able to take of my meal. I appreciated their welcoming vibe & the beautiful pride balloon arch inside the restaurant. I appreciated the friendly service. I appreciated the thoughtfully and expertly made food. After trying several restaurants during our trip to Portland, this was one of the places I was most excited to visit because of all the hype. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The service was good, but it wasn't especially memorable or exceptional. Overall, I'd describe the experience as average. I wouldn't make a special trip across town or plan a vacation around eating here, but if you're already in the area, it's worth giving it a try. The restaurant is small and intimate, so I'd definitely keep that in mind for larger groups. We had seven people, and that felt like the perfect size. Everything we ordered was gorgeous and whimsical in presentation, but of course that would mean little without the flavors to back it all up, which it had in spades. The Thai steak tartare tostadas were incredibly balanced, with brightness and herbaceous notes from the vegetables, herbs, and sauce, great punch from the Thai spices, richness from the tartare, and a nice snap and slight nuttiness from the tapioca crisps cradling everything underneath. The foie gras dumplings were simply divine. I expected them to be rich and dense, but they were like little pillows, with a savory filling and a perfect balance of smoked leek broth, crispy fried leeks, and a caramelized shallot jam that ended up being the surprise star of the dish for me. Then came the main event, the Duck Stack, which I can only describe as a McGriddle on steroids (in the best possible way!). Somehow it all worked beautifully, with the rich duck gravy, fluffy pancakes drenched in syrup, spiced onions, and a fried duck egg tying everything together in perfect harmony. It was one of those dishes that sounds wild on paper but is totally brilliant on the plate and in your mouth. Really fantastic meal from start to finish, and I'm already excited to come back to try more of the menu (and the happy hour!) on a future visit.

We had the coffee (Extracto, love.), I had a really good hef and my mother a very well balanced Bellini that I was very pleasantly surprised with trying. Vibe wise, the ambience is overall really nice. I think having rolled flatware, even with just upgraded napkins, would better complete the aesthetic you initially see and feel. This would also connect with the price point of the food and quality of the beverages. As a fellow server, on that note I would expect more consistent stronger visual appearance standards with servers. (Sorry guys! But some of you looked great!) It comes loaded with a generous portion of grilled mortadella and melted provolone cheese, perfectly moistened with a tangy mustard aioli. The fresh lettuce and bell peppers added a satisfying crunch to every bite. Chefwich - K-Town Steak Sandwich (5/5): A limited-time creation packed into a banh mi roll.
