Went in because I needed a place to do my homework. Walked in, I was greeted. The tables were minimal inside, but all taken. The outside was nice and available. As I placed my order the options were in front of me along with food options. I settled down and got a latte with hazelnut and a bagel with cream cheese. I had looked in the back area to sit but I realized it was subtle outdoor seating. Kinda cute but I'm from Hawaii so I was honestly too cold. I underestimated the table I sat on, I assumed my binder was going to take up the entire space, but I actually had space for my food, coffee, binder and my laptop. While doing my homework there were other people getting things done along side parents planning their kids spring break. A lot of customers that came in seemed familiar and happy going inside and chatting with the two gals handling the bar. It felt like I was watching an episode of some sort of show for a second sort of like "how I met your mother. " Great vibes, nice workers, good and affordable coffee with affordable food, like, seriously affordable. I've seen bagels cost $7 where I'm from and that's without cream cheese. Haha. read more

Really cute coffee shop in the area with a good selection of food items as well! I was in the area so finally made it out to check out their coffee and the whole time I was there plenty of folks were in and out which was a good sign. The indoor space is small but they have an outdoor patio area that is covered but can get chilly. I just got a standard latte and it was OK. Nothing too crazy but staff was friendly. I also ended up trying one of their breakfast sandwiches on a cheddar/jalapeno bagel and would recommend trying it. I like how they did more of an omelette style so the bacon and cheese were mixed in well and didn't fall out with each bite. I'd come back to try one of their burritos as other photos on Yelp look good! read more

Average coffee shop with actual food items- however compared to the rest of the options in Portland it's not the best. I got a featured brown sugar cinnamon ice latte ($5.50) and a bacon egg cheese bagel sandwich ($8). The latte was kind of flat and the syrup is minimal- I'd ask for extra on the side. The bagel sandwich was filling. Same quality as the ones in fast food chains- premade eggs that they heat up so it's somewhat rubbery but they let you pick your bagel type here. I wished for the bacon part that I got more than just one piece. The service was okay and the seating was limited but so nice!! Lots of outdoors space with natural greenery. read more

We came for coffee and maybe a few snacks. I don't recall who makes the cookies, but they were really good. My coffee was a little bitter. I usually grab an espresso and I had to throw quite a bit of water in there to drink it. I don't know if it was too strong or just too bitter, either way it was a tough shot. My wife enjoyed her coffee. I do want to come back and maybe try some of the breakfast food. It looked really good. I will likely try once more before giving my final review. read more

Allright this cafe is an absolute gem in the neighborhood. There's a usual steady stream of patrons and I can tell why. They make my fave iced latte in the city. There's some sweet treats (donuts and cookies) and bagel sandwiches. I would say the egg bagel sandwiches are a little less successful as it's hard to not have rubbery eggs with a microwave. They're still decent nonetheless and I would definitely order one if hungry. Nice outdoor patio out back and space out front to hang with your dog (no dogs on back patio). Very nice local cafe that always has friendly staff, good coffee, and a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a hot beverage and snack. I've visited a few times while my car is getting an oil change, brought my laptop to do a bit of work, and I find myself at ease and enjoying a pleasant neighborhood cafe for an hour or two each time. Have been coming here for multiple years now. The coffee is ok - I mostly come because I live closeby in the neighborhood. I take family here, come here in the mornings, and have taken business meetings here... I spend a lot of money here. One of the baristas in particular seems to dislike me and has been actively cold/hostile/has made me feel that I am unwanted every time I come there, even though I am a regular. Which they do mostly by refusing to greet me or respond in any way beyond a blank stare back at me. I spent a couple years choosing not to take it personally, but still saw them being polite and friendly to people in front of and behind me in line. I finally (after years of this behavior) last week said good morning! again more loudly after being responded to with a blank stare and was immediately refused service. Today I went in, apologized for my own behavior and asked why have I been treated this way by the staff over the last few years and have been again refused service, this time permanently. I've worked in service for years in my life and have never had an experience this negative in any restaurant or food setting. I would NEVER have acted this way, even to a customer that was difficult. Is this acceptable behavior? I'm really saddened to have to choose to take my money elsewhere. I do not expect special treatment, but refusing to greet or be polite to a regular customer of YEARS seems to be pretty extreme. I have to add, that I have never written a negative yelp review in my life, and never complained to a manager before in my life. read more

Twentysix Cafe is a super cute local spot with outdoor seating and friendly service. I went on May 1st and they were only offering service at the door (indoor and back patio seating were closed) which I was bummed about because I wanted to check out the back deck area, but they have outdoor seating out front too. Lots of people were here on a Sunday morning and it was very dog friendly. I got an iced coconut milk latte which was delicious and came out fairly quickly. I also got a veggie breakfast burrito which came out piping hot with two very mild (but tasty!) salsa options. I really enjoyed the burrito once it cooled down enough to eat. I tried a bite of my boyfriend's avocado toast and it was delicious - I loved the lemon. If I were local to the area I would definitely be a frequent visitor! read more

Cute neighborhood cafe. Love all the plants and the fabulous outdoor patio out back, in addition to the sidewalk tables out front. They added a little plant pop-up from Bloke PDX last year and now I just can't resist coming to sit next to all of the plants (ok sometimes I have to buy a few to bring home with me too). Prices are decent, and they give you a slight discount if you bring in your own to-go mug. Due to the narrow space, the area around the counter can get a little tight, but it's still manageable. Good number of outlets to plug into if you want to get some work done. My only real complaint is I am not a huge fan of their house coffee. Which, being a coffee shop, is kinda important. I love their mixed drinks, but their house blend just doesn't do anything for me. If I want just a plain cup of coffee I usually go elsewhere. Street parking only, but usually not too hard to find parking in the residential neighborhood. And don't forget they serve beer and wine too with really great happy hour prices. read more

Super cute and charming coffee shop that also offers delicious food choices. The service was kind and warm, striking up conversations with me and my boyfriend while we waited for our drinks. My matcha latte was superb and beautiful. My boyfriends coffee was perfect, as most coffee in Portland is. The Avo Toast was flavorful and the lemon zest gave it a nice touch. The lovely, covered back patio is such a gem at this neighborhood cafe. I mean so many cafes and coffee shops are just so geared towards the working individual in Portland and the Twentysix Cafe is of no exception. The display of planted greenery makes it an even more pleasing stay. The decor and ambiance just called to me so I ordered my 12oz *Dirty Chai Latte* with almond milk for there even though I wasn't originally planning to stay. It was a busy late-ish morning, so my latte took some time to make it to me out in the back patio, but this divine creation finally did. I love when a barista is able to apply some semblance of art to my latte even with almond milk! This one was a heavenly version, rich, and SPICY, which is very important to me lately. A cute little cafe with a decent selection of food and drinks. I work nearby so it's really the only place open now in walking distance that I can run over to on breaks for coffee. The almond milk latte is so yummy, but the oat milk they use (I LOVE oat milk) is so sad and gritty. I will pick oat over almond any day, but not here. Choose the almond milk if you can. Regular brewed coffee is mediocre. Espresso is definitely the way to go! Today I went once more and got a gluten free scone that was supposedly a chai flavored scone, but it had no flavor other than the light glaze on top (lemon maybe) and left a terrible aftertaste in my mouth. I ate half because I was hungry but had to chase it down with my coffee to get the taste out. Hit or miss, I'll keep going for the espresso, the convenience, and the friendly smiles but that's all. read more

Excellent coffee. Great location. Unique layout - with a large patio out back and a sidewalk section. What's not to like? This is a great place for an afternoon meeting or a leisurely day-off with a good book. The layout reminds me of a spot you would find in older sections of SFO, with all the character and charm. The back patio is a gem - with spaciousness and large cold weather heaters. To me the pièce de résistance is the floral arrangements that are adorned on the walls and counters of the cafe. Looking to check out the local coffee shop scene in Portland, this was the first one I stopped by. LOVED the decor and atmosphere, definitely has the artsy hipster vibe dialed to the max. Great art hanging on the wall, and the typewriter cash register thing was a nice touch as well. Very spacious inside and people seem super chill and not in a rush. I got an iced matcha latte which was tasted great even without any sweetener added. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of pastries or sweet things, as most of the food options when I was there were sandwiches and other savory bites. However I would say I love how it is located in a residential neighborhood area so it was super easy to find parking! read more

The music was great for the vibe, and I absolutely love their back patio area (I love patios!) Cannot recommend this place enough.
