This place needs some music, it was extremely quiet I could here a needle drop to the point it became uncomfortable. Staff was ok , beignets were good. It was my first time having one. It taste like a differently shaped funnel cake. Would not go back to this location or I will use the drive through in the future. read more

Of course they have the best Beignets. But when walking in I noticed that all but one of the patio tables was plate littered. Then I noticed there was only one couple in the whole place eating inside. Yet there were a couple dirty tables inside as well. I'm not sure if this crew has any self motivation or care to clean up and keep this establishment presentable. Other than that, the service at the counter was kind and genuine. The Beignets were fantastic as expected. And the hot mocha tasted better than the iced mocha. read more

We always Look forward to enjoying cafe ole and donut crunchy and regular beignets. When we asked for the the facial expressions were priceless with agony of having to do some work ! They did not do the beignets slits for us even though we were willing to pay extra . Just the overall service from the staff was very disappointing and we are not planning on returning . read more

Friendly staff and such good beignets. Just like across the river. I come here every time I come home.

We swung by here on our way home from a short weekend trip to Covington. As always everything was warm, delicious and full of powdered sugar. Very, very good! read more

If you know me, you know how much I LOVE beignets! Stopped at this location of Cafe de Monde and was thoroughly satisfied. They made our beignets fresh for us and just the way we liked. Love it! Also super friendly :-) read more

Cafe Du Monde - This is what heaven looks like - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Covington, Louisiana

Sadly....I thought this place was pretty darn overrated. Granted we didn't go to the original while we were down in New Orleans, but we made a point to stop at one of them while we were there. Yeah, overrated. The place wasn't that clean but it was really busy, so I guess with that much powdered sugar everywhere it's hard to keep clean? The beignets were not the best we had while we were visiting. I mean they were fine, but they didn't knock my socks off. The hubby got coffee, which didn't even seem to be freshly brewed but out of a machine. All in all a kind of disappointing experience. read more

Nice place for a breakfast and coffee. Perfect location off of 190 and 22. Always has room for parking and never really crowded.

Me and some friends were driving through Louisiana earlier today and were so excited to get a taste of some delicious beignets at Cafe Du Monde because we do not have this establishment close by. However, we were shocked by the workers lack of customer service/friendliness and a tough textured beignet. We were not greeted when we entered and the orange haired worker seemed very annoyed by us ordering and was passive aggressive in getting our orders. We got our beignets only to have them be very tough and doughy in the middle. When leaving we said "thank you" and were not given a response back even though we were the only ones in the establishment and they were not helping other guests. 0/10 not going back. read more

The beignets and coffee are awesome but this location does not have the atmosphere of New Orleans. read more

Cafe Du Monde - 3 orders of beignets and a coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Covington, Louisiana

It's not the main one in the French Quarter but it still has the gucci stuff. Plus, it's way less crowded. The beignets still taste the same. Dense and generously powdered with sugar. The staff here was SO friendly. They are very pet-friendly here (as in you can sit with your dog outside on the little patio). One of the staff even gave my dog a basket of beignets!! He, for sure, loved this place. This establishment is off the highway too, so it's easily accessible. read more

We were ecstatic we found a Cafe Du Monde in Covington and an unexpected bonus of Drive Through Service! Great Food and Service as always!

Nice place. Best service ever. Gabby was awesome. She was smiling the whole time. She was so accommodating to our questions. Of course the beignets made it so much better for our experience. read more

So good! A must if you're ever in Louisiana. They serve these French donuts in powdered sugar called beignets. They're like funnel cakes, and they're delicious. They're hot chocolate is also the best! read more

You must go here when you're in New Orleans. Coffee is hot and delicious any time of day.

The food took over twenty minutes to arrive and we just had two standard orders of beignets. The only reason we got the food at that point was because we finally went up and asked about it. It appears they were serving all their drive through customers and ignoring the ones in the restaurant. The beignets were good, so if you are looking for good food in a decent time, I recommend the drive through. read more

So great to be able to get cafe du monde beignets on the Northshore with no wait!! Great food, great coffee and great service! The cook makes the best beignets - hot and fresh! read more

Super Yum!!!! There's nothing more to say! Service was great. Staff friendly and beignets were fresh and delicious! Worth a stop when we're passing through!! read more

All of the fun, without the wait! They're delicious and taste like you're in the French Quarter. A little hard to get to if you're coming from the opposite direction, so keep this in mind when selecting your route. Don't forget to get a hat for the kiddo! read more

Wow!! I had had something they called Beignets at a local ILLINOIS restaurant that actually even calls themselves Gulf Shores & they should be ashamed!! These beignets were obviously how they were supposed to be!!! Yum!!!! read more

Pulling up we saw a guy with his feet on the stainless counter we ordered from. When we walked 8n he moved but there was dirt from his feet left on the counter. I commented to the woman behind the counter,"It's a good thing people dont eat there". She just looked at the guy who had his feet up on the counter and just snickered. Totally weird experience. Won't be back ever. read more

Stopped by while in Covington. The service was great! No line like the New Orleans location. I was able to enjoy my cafè au lait and beignet without the line. I do intend on standing in line during my next visit in Nola to get the full experience read more

Love cafe du monde! Great place to bring out-of-town guests. Usually live music and real close to jackson square!

At first, I couldn't understand all the fuss about this place. Oh well, I went back to this place just a day after my first visit. If I ever go back to New Orleans, I'm 100% sure it will be just to go back to Cafe Du Monde. read more

I'm not sure if this location has new employees making the beignets now, but they are terrible.... we typically get them for dessert about once or twice a month, sometimes more. We had them tonight and actually got them last week as well and they were awful both times. They were so tough, that you could not eat them. They were hot, so I'm not sure if they were re-heated or if the recipe is off, but our jaws were hurting from trying to chew. That is definitely not how Cafe du Monde beignets should taste! read more

As usual, the beignets and cafe au lait were outstanding. The service, however, left a lot to be desired. The entire staff walked around like mindless zombies and showed minimal ability to interact with the public. They were unfriendly and acted like this job was a prison sentence. The millennial aged staff confirmed this generation's lack of social skill due to too many hours playing Xbox and texting rather than talking. read more

The original CDM in downtown New Orleans is a must for visitors. The beignets and chicory coffee are delicious! I went to a franchised one in a strip mall in Covington. Good coffee but pricey. The beignets are relatively inexpensive but they don't travel well. (Don't try and bring some back to Texas, eat them there!). If I didn't want beignets I would get my coffee at PJ's I think. read more

Very disappointing. They were out of milk, poor customer service, and now they serve their beignets in paper baskets. I will drive to the Mandeville location before I go back to the covington location...and I live 5 min from the covington store and 20 min from Mandeville. The manager was very rude and did not seem to care about any of my concerns. To top it off the beignets have gotten very small. Three orders cost $14 with two hot chocolates. read more

Coffee awesome so is the biggest relaxing atmosphere little gift area decor is great great on this rainy day

It was nearing closing time when we stopped by for beignets, coffee, and cocoa. The beignets did not compare to the original ones in NO. I hope it was just because it was so late. The cocoa and coffee were really good, though. The cocoa was definitely some of the best I have ever had. read more

We stopped on Covington on our way to Gulf Shores specifically for beignets from Cafe Du Monde. The beignets were good but the service was not. Slow, inattentive and lacking. If it wasn't for the good beignets, we would skip this location. read more

beignets are cooked to perfection and it is quick and easy from the moment you walk in!

As always the beignets are delicious. But the service left much to be desired on our visit. We had a couple of questions about the menu which seemed to inconvenience the girl behind the counter. Our barista was visibly annoyed, didn't make eye contact, and slammed plates down. For the record, there were only two other parties dining in and no one in line behind us, so I don't really feel like the flippancy and shortness of her communication was warranted. As soon as we walked away, she started loudly arguing with another staff member about their busier morning. I am sorry if the staff were stressed, but as a result we felt unwelcome. Leaving three stars for the food quality and cleanliness. read more

Only reason it didn't get one star is because the Beignets and Coffee are excellent. The reason it should've only received one star is because customer service is everything in a business and this place didn't have any what so ever. Needs a new manager cause she was awful. Some of the other female employees were nice though. read more
