a cheese pizza in a box

Had the pleasure of over eating on some pizza from Cafe Dolce Vita in Jericho tonight! Man was it good. Sauce was by far the best I have had recently. Cheese was especially tasty as well. Sausage was sliced like we like it thx. Crust was good but not the best we have had but good. Employees were super nice and inviting. Good stuff!!

Delicious pizza

Return visit and was excellent again. Great staff behind the counter, friendly, attentive and quick. Pizza was fresh outta the oven and tasted great. Spinach roll was flavored right, nice balance of spinach, ricotta and mozzarella. Good job fellas, we'll be back again.

Grandmas Sicilian pizza

Always good to know where the best pizza is in different towns. This is one of them. I always know the food is going to be good here. I've eaten a full sit down meal here many times in the past. This time I just wanted a quick lunch so I dropped by for a slice of pizza. The staff is always incredibly friendly and quick. The decor is cute with a lot of tables. I got a slice of Grandma's Sicilian pizza. It was so full of flavor, hot with a perfect crust. Not too thick and not too thin.

Regular slice

Honestly, i wasn't really impressed with this slice of pizza. If you look at the photo it basically explains it all. The pizza to sauce ratio was off. I asked for a warm slice of pizza and i was given a cold slice. The dough was good but not great. I really almost tasteless. I don't understand how they can charge 3.25 for a regular pie.

No discount. In store said online prices are wrong

There food is okay but online pricing and in store are off by few bucks. When I pick up the food the staff said online price was wrong. I ended up playing a lot more. Staff just said sorry and did not offer the online price.

Went here yesterday for lunch. Had a slice of sicilian and tried the marinara slice as well. The place is nice and set up pretty well. Pizza part is in front and there is a bar on the left and resturaunt in back. Place looked clean and nice. The staff were friendly and helpful and fast. Too bad the pizza was nothing that special, The sauce was just ok and that being nice. Do not think I would go again at least for pizza.

Pizza is not good. Sauce is definitely canned. Go to the hundreds of other better places on long island for pizza.

Cafe Baci - Calamari Fritti

I've always passed by Cafe Baci and my little brother has been hyping it up, so I went with our…read morefamily and visitors. The parking situation was not too bad on early evening during the weekday, but I could totally see it get out of hand on the weekends, so plan accordingly. We were sat right away and the lovely server dropped a basket of bread while we peered through the menu. The free bread is quite good. We were all starving, so the cheesy chewy bread was great to munch on. I am also much more forgiving about a bit of wait for food if there is free bread being offered. It was also nice because we were seated right by the kitchen window, so it was like getting a dinner and a show. We got the Saporite, which reminded me of a Costco chicken bake with its creamy innards punctuated by grilled chicken. This is my brothers favorite, and I could see why. We also had the spaghetti seafood, which was so richly flavored with the seafood. I'm not sure I ever had Italian pasta so full of that umami seafood flavor. Truly wow. The ravioli verde was something we got to add something not-tomato based & it was an excellent choice. The sauce was verdant and creamy. The ravioli filling didn't feel like straight ricotta but I liked whatever they had done to it! The chicken parm was also a solid choice, good breading on hefty cutlets of chicken and a nice helping of charred cheese on top. We liked every single dish, and the portions were more than enough to feed all of us and leave leftover for the next day. I was especially touched by the professionalism of the young servers during what was becoming an increasingly crowded dinner service. We got extra bread, waters filled, and to go boxes promptly. The hype was surprisingly real. I guess I should not be surprised that a place that's been around since my childhood has withstood the test of time because it was good. Will revisit soon for lunch service.

Updated review long overdue…read more Last three times I visited... i had planned on updating this review; however, always forgot until now. Food 2/5 very overpriced for not so great quality. Portions are fairly still large if the food tastes bad... it takes a lot of effort in eating it. Service 2/5 workers are young i guess if that is a pro... but lacks common basics... too busy talking amongst each other and talking negatively about the job. Ambiance hasn't changed for years. They offer a cash discount. I am leaving this review for a self reminder tbh... everytime I visit i think to myself why did I do this to myself.

When we called to change the time for our reservation, we were told it was no problem, and we could do whatever makes us happy; Just to come in and have a great time! When we got there we met Frank, who took care of us the entire night and also remembered speaking to us on the phone. He was so awesome and made us feel like we have been going there for years, when it was actually our first time! We told him we were going to a 7:00 show, and he not only got us out at the time we needed, but made us feel relaxed, never rushed and made sure we had an awesome experience, which we did! The food and service was exceptional! Everyone's entree was amazing! I can't say enough about how good this food was. I had the special which was sea bass, and it was so delicious and cooked perfectly. My husband had the chicken rollatini, also amazing! Everyone was so happy with their dishes, and loved everything they ordered. This place is so awesome that I wish it wasn't so far away from us. Frank told us they have music on Friday nights, and we are all going to go back at some point just for this restaurant. It is so worth the drive! The decor is also great, especially if you love Marylin Monroe, and the atmosphere is so relaxed you feel like you are eating in your own dining room at home! Thank you to Frank and the rest of the staff for a truly great dining experience! We will be back!

We started with fresh baked bread and their signature ricotta-style bruschetta dip, which set the tone right away. The meats and cheeses were high quality and full of flavor. The tortellini in broth was especially comforting and perfect for the colder weather. For entrees, the veal was perfectly crispy and paired well with the mashed potatoes and spinach. The balanzoni stood out for its rich, flavorful sauce, and adding the lasagna was absolutely worth it -- layered, hearty, and extremely satisfying. Dessert was just as strong. The tartufo was rich without being overwhelming, the ice cream was smooth and refreshing, and the biscotti was hands down the best we've ever had. Ending with coffee tied the meal together nicely. Service throughout the evening was attentive, well paced, and knowledgeable about the course menu, which made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a classic Italian feel that made it easy to settle in and enjoy a full multi-course meal. Overall, this was a well executed dining experience with thoughtful courses, strong service, and a comfortable atmosphere.
