Ah. The sweet life cafe. We order food every Friday and sometimes during the week if we work late or have a meeting. The food is good from the regular slices to the speciality slices. The soups and salads are also very good. The Cranberry salad with Walnuts with the addition of chicken is outstanding. I haven't had an issue once. Everything we order is usually good. Sometimes you may get a slice that appears a little old( generally a specialty slice). The parking lot they are located in is generally crowded so expect to walk a little bit. Sit down dining is also good. There is a restaurant area in the back along with seating in the front. The place is clean, generally busy and atmosphere is pleasing. A good choice for Italian food. I have been here only twice! However I definitely will be here once again in the near future! The pizza is delicious and have tons od different toppings to choose from! From plain and simple all the way to a mountain of toppings like the salad slice! The customer service is top notch and always helpful! Came here for the very first time while attending a car show next lot over @ the Millridge inn and was pleasantly surprised! Nice looking casual restaurant, comfortable seating and warm ambient lighting with a wonderful assortment of pizza,pastas and salads! Speaking on behalf of just the vodka Sicilian slice and chicken marsala slice they were both absolutely delicious! Very popular flavors and some of the best I have ever had, Great sauce on both ,gooey cheese The way pizza should taste! Especially specialty pizza, Service at the counter was very good, friendly staff here! Love the fact that have a little full bar in house so my friends and I enjoyed the pizza washing it down with a few nice Peroni's, The waiter was nice enough to let us sit in the main dining room which is only waiter service so we could watch a little baseball on the big screen, all in all if I'm in the area I would definitely come back here for a full dinner w drinks to boot! Pizza is not good. Sauce is definitely canned. Go to the hundreds of other better places on long island for pizza.

Has a lovely room in the back to sit down and have a great meal! The menu is full of great food options at decent prices! The red sauce is A-maz-ing!!! They are a little resistant to bring out additional bread - but they will if you ask for it. Great food! OK pizza. read more

Just got back from eating dinner in the "fancy" part of this pizza restaurant. I was with my husband and daughter, and we were in the mood for Italian food after a day in Manhattan. We went to 2 of our favorite places but both had wait times of at least 30 minutes, so we decided to give up on italian food and try the Diner. As we were on our way, passing the Jericho Mall, I suddenly remembered the pizza place, and we made a quick turn into the parking lot; we were going to get our Italian food after all. When we went in, there was no wait and we were seated immediately in the back part of the restaurant. It was quiet and set up beautifully, with white linen table clothes and a warm, but elegant decor. This was the place that should have had the waiting list, because once you are in there, you wonder why you thought of going anywhere else. Yet, it is off the beaten path and it might be easy to forget it's there.The bread, came immediately, and was warm and fresh. Our water glasses were filled throughout the meal. I ordered the Grilled Balsamic Chicken, and was not expecting the large plate of food they brought. A house salad came with the meal, but they gave me one of the other salads I had asked for at no extra charge. There was a light oil on the salad, which was somewhat tasteless, but the salad was so good, I didn't notice that too much. When the food came, in addition to the huge portion of chicken, there was also a huge amount of fresh cooked vegetables, sauteed in butter. Everything was cooked perfectly, and was delicious and satisfying. I took home at least 1/3 of the meal. The service was excellent, with at least 2 waiters taking care of our table. And the prices were a bit cheaper than one would expect for this type of restaurant. We were all happy that the other two places had waiting lists, and that we didn't end up waiting. read more

It was amazing and better than I expected (I have high expectations for pasta)! Waitress was just ok, nothing phenomenal, didn't seem very enthusiastic. I have been coming here for years and I came here with a group of people and we were a little loud but nothing outrageous and the OWNER of the place yelled at us! No hospitality and just plain rudeness. Will never be going there again. Take your business somewhere else where the owner respects its customers and the food is anything but MEDIOCRE. read more

Nothing great...I had baked ravioli which was run-of-the-mill, uneventful and basically tasted like the frozen ravioli I buy at the supermarket, my daughter had the Fettucine Al Pollo, which was laden with a over-"basiled" red sauce, and my son had a sausages and pepper hero on bread that seemed to be from yesterday's menu. We ordered 2 cannolis which were probably the most disgusting cannolis we ever had. They had orange zest or maybe even marmalade in it(!!!) and were $5.75 a piece yet! Awful. Might go back there for maybe pizza, but will never order any entrees.......Sad part we live a minute away and it would have been nice to make this place our favorite Italian restaurant since it is so close..... read more

Like 30 different types of pizza slices to choose from! Try the salad slice (amazing). Its a really nice spot with nice people and good food, what more could you ask for? The chef can really create some excellent Entrees as well!. Order from the menu, or just tell them what you want and they can make it! Cafe Dolce Vita is the top pizzeria/restaurant on my list. Top three slices are definitely buffalo slice, salad slice, and chicken marsala slice. The restaurant is nice and clean, and the workers are very friendly. The selection of pizza is outstanding, and the menu always has tasty appetizers and entrées to enjoy. My friends and I frequently visit Cafe Dolce to hang out and grab some pizza. The pizza is good and they have a wide selection of specialty slices, but they charge way too much for a slice of pizza. Paying more than $5 for one slice is definitely not worth it. read more

I live a few towns over but was in the area and decided to stop into Cafe Dolce Vita with my girlfriend because I have always heard good things. I loved the whole design of the restaurant. Nice setup, spacious and a beautiful area in the back for a quiet sit down dinner. I ended up sitting down in the front and ordered a slice and a salad. The buffalo slice was hands down the best I ever had. Not too spicy, plenty of chicken and VERY filling. I'm very picky with my salads so taking my order can be a pain but the employee taking my order was very polite and patient with me (their house dressing gets an A+ in my book). My girlfriend can only eat gluten free and thankfully they had both pizza and pasta to offer. She got the personal gluten free pizza and has been raving about it since. I also happened to meet the owner who was extremely nice. It's nice to see owners who actually are in to run the show as opposed to just shoving off responsibilities to their employees. He noticed me wearing a soccer jersey and we got into a conversation about this summer's European Cup. Wouldn't have even thought he was the owner just seemed like such a good, humble, family oriented Italian man. My girlfriend and I are planning to go back for dinner in the next few days. read more
